3 2. BASIC ITINERARY Friday Students meet at Felixstowe Academy and then onto Copleston High School (time to be confirmed) Saturday Arrive: Gasthof Unterwirt, Saalbach. Sunday - Friday In resort with full ski and après ski programme Bingo Spa Swimming Town Trip Ice Hockey Match Friday Finish ski programme and return to hotel for loading coach and evening meal Depart: Gasthof Unterwirt, Saalbach. Saturday Arrive Copleston High School, then onto Felixstowe Academy.

5 Accommodation is on a full-board basis with a packed lunch provided to take to the slopes. Bedrooms are very pleasant and have been recently renovated so that all rooms now have en suite facilities. All rooms are 2, 4 or 6 bedded. Guests should bring their own towels.

7 5. EVENING ACTIVITIES Swimming at the Spa at Kaprun. Water slides, Jacuzzis, Heated pool.

8 EVENING ACTIVITIES CONTINUED. Ice Hockey Match Big Prize Bingo Austrian Skittles Ice Cream & Pizza Night

9 6. DRY SKI SLOPE LESSONS Beginners (skiers and boarders) 2 x 2 hour beginner sessions at the 'Suffolk Ski Centre'. The dates for these are TBC (Feb/March) The session will last from 4pm until 6pm and transport will be provided to and from the centre (leaving at 3.30pm and returning to school at approximately school 6.30pm) This is a compulsory part of the trip for all beginners to ensure we make best use of time on the slopes. We know that some of you have already had lessons so may not require these.

10 7. SKI CLOTHING Headwear 1) Hats 2) Helmet (as part of our ski hire) 3) Face Mask, Bandana and/or neck wear to shield nose, mouth, and neck. 4) Ear warmers!!!! Eye Wear 1) Goggles 2) Sunglasses (plastic Lens, UV protection) can be worn, however they should include a leash Gloves 1) Liner gloves that take away moisture 2) Insulated and waterproof outer gloves/mittens Body Wear 1) Waterproof Ski Jacket 2) Waterproof Ski Pants 4) Base layer of thermal underwear 5) Insulating top fleece zip up, sweatshirt or hoody (thin layers) 6) A number of ski Socks, insulating and not ribbed

11 8. BETWEEN NOW AND THE TRIP Passport Check Dates! Medical Card From Post office or online Parental Consent Pocket Money Exercise Keep checking with trip leader Final payments - Deadline 9 th January for Felixstowe and Friday 30 th November for Copleston (should now be paid).

14 10. AOB Coach trip 24 hours, Food & comfort! Valuables - Own responsibility What else to take 1 soft bag, 1 carry on bag English and euros English for services/ferry etc.. Bank Service Sealed Envelope at least 1 week before trip departs. Name and amount in Euros & Pounds on front 2 x 1 Euro coin - for ski pass deposit Behaviour/Expectations Poor behaviour results in losing time on slopes!
