Sunday River, Gould Academy and the Sunday River Ski Club are excited to have you come and be our guest for four days of racing. Included in this packed are all the materials, literature, and event schedules for the four-day event, to be held on Sunday, February 26, through Wednesday March 1. Whether you plan on spending all of your time on the hill participating or watching some great ski racing, visiting the local area or relaxing at one of the heated pools at the Grand Summit Hotel or on mountain condominiums, we hope you have a great time. You can buy discounted lift passes ($40/day or $100 on Sunday for all four days), pick-up banquet tickets, pick-up start orders and results, or get information on events. You will receive a free lift pass for the day you work, free lunch, plus an additional lift pass to ski at Sunday River Ski Resort valid through March 31, Please call for more information and to sign up. Gould Academy Cookout: Gould Academy will host a cookout for all athletes, parents, and coaches. Banquet: Tuesday, February 28, at 6:30 pm in the Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center Grand Ballroom. 5 The White Cap Fun Center: Open Thursday- Sunday Night with activities including Tubing, Ice Skating, Arcade and a Bonfire. Don t miss Shipyard s new restaurants located here for great meals at great prices. Photos: Sharp Shooters will be taking digital photos throughout the event. Photos will be available immediately after each event in Barker Base Lodge as well as at the Banquet. Additionally, if you miss the opportunity to purchase a photo, or cannot make the event, they will be available online at We encourage families to bring your own video cameras for the opening ceremonies, awards, banquet, and event memories. Seeding and Bib Numbers: The five seeds will remain the same for all three disciplines. There will be four separate draws within each seed (three disciplines plus the SG training run). Bibs will be distributed by coaches and collected at the finish line for each discipline. Viewing Areas: Maps will be available at Race Headquarters to direct you to the best race viewing areas. Only athletes, coaches, hired photographers, and race officials will be allowed on the course. Please respect this request for the safety of the athletes. Mountain Etiquette and Athlete Code of Conduct: As noted in your USSA Competition Guide, while either on the hill or in the lodge, all athletes must maintain high standards of moral and ethical conduct, which includes self-control and responsible behavior, consideration for, the physical and emotional well being of others, and courtesy and good manners. Please observe Your Responsibility Code and Go with the Flow. Thanks! Safety Fence Removal after Giant Slalom: At the close of the Giant Slalom Race coaches will be asked to help remove the safety fence from T2/Monday Mourning and move as much as possible to Right Stuff. All fences will stay up after the Super-G Coaches Information and Meeting Schedule: Consistent with USSA policies, the rule for complimentary coach tickets is as follows: All athletes are entitled to representation by a coach from their home program. If a program would like to have two coaches they must have more than 4 athletes, more than 8 athletes for 3, more than 12 for four, etc. Sunday River will offer a discounted lift ticket for $25/day to programs that would like to have additional coaches at the event. These names must be submitted in advance, and coaches must carry a professional coaches license.

Parent/Guardian Signature: Date : AGREEMENT TO RELEASE LIABILITY AND NOT TO SUE In consideration of my child being allowed to participate in the Chevrolet Eastern Junior III Olympics, on behalf of myself and my child I agree to release Sunday River Skiway Corporation, their owners, affiliates, employees, agents, directors, officers and volunteers (the Releasees) from any liability for damage, injury or death to my child, myself or to any person sustained as a result of participation in said program, whatever the cause, including but not limited to the fault or alleged negligence of any of the Releasees, or any risk of the sport, known or unknown, accepting full legal responsibility on behalf of myself and my child not to sue the Releasees and to hold harmless and indemnify the Releasees from any damage, award, legal expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees or settlement arising out of my child's participation in said program. I further agree that any claim made by me or my child against the Releasees shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the state or federal courts in the State of Maine, shall be governed by Maine law and that if any part of this agreement is determined to be unenforceable all other parts shall be given full force and effect to the extent permitted by Maine law.
