During the 2014 season, lighted terrain was nearly doubled and new night ski features added. Additional improvements to Night Ski are planned for this season with further enhancements to lighting, adjustments to take-off and landing areas in the Park after Dark freestyle trail, and realignment of the Airbag drop in area. New for 2015 is a Snow Tubing Lane which will operate alongside the Kaiser Carpet in the beginners area during the day and at night ski too! Coronet Peak caters for all abilities. The large novice area has a separate beginners trail and dedicated lifts. More experienced skiers and riders can enjoy varied terrain from wide groomed trails to steep off-piste runs, moguls and open bowls. Coronet Peak is a popular choice for families. Children aged 6 and under ski for free and youngsters aged three months to five years can be enrolled in the fully-licensed Early Learning Centre while the older ones get to enjoy daily lessons in the Kea Club. 5 For 2015, that s being further improved with more enhancements to lighting, adjustments to take-off and landing areas in the Park after Dark, and realignment of the Airbag drop in area. New for 2015 (and perfect for beginners and families), is a Snow Tubing Lane which will operate alongside the Kaiser Carpet in the beginners area during the day and during night ski too! Coronet Peak s base building features floor-to-ceiling windows each side -- one way looks out over postcard views of the Wakatipu Basin, while the other takes in all of the mountain action. There s a new restaurant and café menu on offer in On the expansive deck outside, relax and soak up the social atmosphere with live music playing regularly. Guests at Coronet Peak can enjoy Spark free Wi-Fi access too! Coronet Peak caters for all abilities and has three modern high-speed chair lifts. The Meadows Express quad has unique safety features and a moving carpet loading system for accessing the dedicated novice and beginner area. The novice area has plenty of space for learners, with a separate beginners trail, a freestyle kids fun-zone with a tunnel and jumps (improved for 2015 with new features and more snowmaking), and four surface conveyor lifts. More experienced skiers and riders have 280 hectares of terrain to play with, ranging from 21km of wide, groomed trails, to steep off-piste runs, moguls and open bowls. Over at Rocky Gully, a dedicated race-training arena with its T-bar lift hosts world-class athletes each year. Coronet Peak is a popular choice and makes skiing as a family more affordable. Children aged six and under enjoy free lift passes daily. Youngsters aged three months to five years can be enrolled in the fully-licensed Early Learning Centre while the older kids get to enjoy daily lessons in the Kea Club. An easy, convenient rental service is available on site which includes skis, poles, snowboards, boots, clothing and helmets. For intermediate and expert riders a range of 2015 performance skis and Burton snowboards are available rental experts help guests choose the best equipment for the conditions. 6 Getting up to Coronet Peak is easy with NZSki s Snowline transport service operating the most modern fleet of buses in Queenstown, including 4WD and 2WD buses specifically designed for mountain roads.
