Our Volkl, Marker, Dalbello pro night will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 5:30pm at the Ski Co. Ltd. In Rochester, Michigan. There will be a variety of boots to try on and skis and bindings to check out. We will have some snowboarding equipment at pro price or discount, we will update you when we have the brands available. The pro-night is an opportunity for you to purchase equipment at a discounted price. As most of you know this program is for instructors only and not available to your family or friends. You need to have a credit card to purchase equipment that night. Some of the equipment available will be Volkl, Marker and Dalbello boots. If you want to purchase Volkl/ Marker or Dalbello, and you don t want to wait for the pro night, feel free to call and we can process your order over the phone. We would greatly appreciate it if you would place your pro form orders for those products through Pat or Pam and in turn support our resorts shop. The annual pre-season meeting will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at PINE KNOB RESORT. With this letter is a schedule form and an instructing agreement. Even if you do not know your schedule it is very helpful to turn in your form along with the instructing agreement and the $67 insurance fee (THIS IS AN ESTIMATE OF THE FEE) at the meeting or by mail no later than November 30, 2016 if you plan on teaching this season. Insurance will be $77.00 for any fees paid after NOVEMBER 30, Please try to remember to fill out these documents at home and bring them to the meeting (or the pro-night) with you. If you do not plan on teaching this season, please let us know. College Students: If you are not able to commit to 3x per week, you must be able to teach 4-5 days per week during your holiday break along with some weekends during the season. We can no longer take on anyone who only shows up 2-3 times all season. Insurance must be paid prior to your first time skiing or riding. 2 INSTRUCTING AGREEMENT I,, hereby understand that I am an independent contractor providing services as a ski and/or snowboard instructor for Learn to Ski, Inc. d/b/a Mt. Holly Ski School and/or Pine Knob Ski School. I further understand that Learn to Ski, Inc. d/b/a Mt. Holly Ski School, d/b/a Pine Knob Ski School is a separate entity from Mt. Holly Ski Area and Pine Knob Ski Area and that I am not an employee of the ski area. I also agree and understand that I am responsible for providing my own equipment and uniform. Further, I set my own schedule and I am paid for only the services I perform. I understand that Learn to Ski Inc. d/b/a Mt. Holly Ski School, d/b/a Pine Knob Ski School, Mt. Holly Ski Area and Pine Knob Ski Area are not responsible for any injuries I may sustain while teaching, performing services or free skiing or snowboarding at the ski area. I further understand that Learn to Ski Inc. d/b/a Mt. Holly Ski School, d/b/a Pine Knob Ski School, Mt. Holly Ski Area and Pine Knob Ski Area are not providing health insurance, disability, insurance, workers compensation or unemployment insurance to me. I further understand and agree to conduct myself in a professional manner at all times while I am on the ski resort premises. Further, I may be expelled from the ski area temporarily or permanently for any behavior unlawful or unbefitting a professional ski/snowboard instructor.
