8 First Trip Protocol All trips will leave from the CB West back parking lot (On McFarland Lane) FIRST Friday Trip of the year: Plan to arrive right after school Member check in Ski Pass Distribution Sweatshirt Distribution Equipment and Bus Loading All other Saturday trips: Arrive NO LATER THAN 2:45 for 3:00 pm departure. If you arrive at or after 3:00, you might miss us.
9 Friday Trip Protocol Please arrive at school well enough ahead of time to drop off ski equipment at the secure location before 7:20. ( Old School Store close to cafeteria) CBSD Policy: If you are absent from school or arrive after 10:30 on the day of a club trip, you may NOT attend that night s trip Ski and snowboard equipment will be locked in a secure location from 7:20 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Students will transfer their own equipment from the secure location to the bus. Any student who is absent from school may not attend the ski trip.
10 Parent Pick Up Protocol Please arrive before 11:30 p.m. to pick up your skier/boarder. We will have students call you on their cell phones when we are 15 minutes away (When the bus reaches Dublin, PA on 313). Please be on time to pick up your students. Sponsors cannot and will not leave any students alone in the parking lot. NOTE: Your student drivers will possibly be driving AFTER 12:00 am and on certain occasions, on snowy/icy roads. Please make wise transportation decisions to keep everyone safe!
11 Mandatory Safety Gear 1. Skiers: Ski Helmet 2. Boarders: Helmet & Wrist Guards NOTE: Students must show safety equipment before they board the bus each time we depart. Students without proper equipment will need to rent appropriate equipment at their own expense and report to an advisor BEFORE they head out to the mountain
12 Buddy System It is the responsibility of ALL members to ensure that they ski with at least one buddy at ALL times.
13 Valuables and Equipment Consider leaving valuables at home Lockers are HIGHLY suggested Check your equipment at the Blue Mt. provided valet service ALL theft incidents should be reported FIRST to the Blue Mt. Security department and then to club advisors.
14 Departure from Blue Mt. and Lost & Found All members should PROMPTLY report to and begin loading busses NOT LATER THAN 9:45. Ensure ALL equipment is loaded on proper bus Lost and Found items will either be located at Blue Mt. or at the CB West Lost and Found
15 Passes All students must bring their ski pass to ALL trips. Students who lose their pass must visit ski services at Blue Mt. Guest Services Office and pay $10 to obtain a new pass. Any passes for missed trips may be used AFTER March 5 th, 2018 No transportation
16 Make Good Decisions Ski/Board within your ability range The Terrain Park is DANGEROUS and NOT for beginners! Parents: If your club member is injured, please seriously consider holding them back from attending that weeks trip!
17 We HIGHLY SUGGEST that all first time skiers or boarders purchase a trip package that includes 5 professional lessons. Packages C and D
18 Lodge Table CB West Ski Club will maintain and (wo)man a table in the lounge at all times. Students should come to the table with any concerns, questions, or non-medical emergency problems Students having a medical emergency should proceed to the nearest Ski Patrol station and ask mountain personnel to contact CB West Ski Club Advisors.
19 Emergency Procedures Ski Patrol contacts chaperone. (via cell phone) Chaperone immediately goes to student s location Chaperone receives information regarding medical situation. Chaperone ensures emergency transportation to hospital if deemed necessary by Ski Patrol Palmerton or Lehigh Valley Hospitals Chaperone contacts parents Chaperone rides/follows student in ambulance Chaperone remains in contact with parents Chaperone stays with student until parents arrive at hospital Parents follow up and communicate with club advisors and school nurse in the event of serious injuries
20 Club Expectations Students are expected to abide by the following: The Law CBSD School Board policies CB West student handbook Student eligibility requirements Extracurricular Activity Pledge Rules, directions, and requests of the staff of Blue Mountain and transportation companies The schedule published in Ski Club packet * Parents and students have signed off on the above policies completed the club application.
21 Policing these items on the mountain Any student caught on the slopes without proper safety equipment, skiing in a reckless manner or skiing alone will be sent to the lodge for the rest of that trip.
22 Other Disciplinary Considerations Violation of Club Disciplinary Contract will result in disciplinary action at the mountain and/or at C.B. West by appropriate school administrators Disciplinary action may include but are not limited to: no skiing for the day, denial of CB West privileges, detention, Administrative referral, removal from Ski Club, Transportation fee submission, law enforcement involvement. Smoking at ANY TIME during trips is prohibited and will result in a $50 fine
23 Scheduling We must adhere to ALL presented schedules This respects everyone s time Students who make us late or keep CB West staff into the wee hours of the morning may be suspended from Ski Club.

27 Trip Postponement Inclement weather and transportation decisions will be made by the CB West administrative team. Make-up trips dates will be scheduled according to transportation availability.
28 Collection Process Submit the following at the appropriate tables: 1. Family ID application receipt ( ) 2. Blue Mt. Wavier and Rental Process Form REQUIRED by ALL (even if not renting) 3. Club Fee Check made out to CB West Activities Fund (West) Please be sure to add your skier s name to your check s Memo field. NOTE! -- If you have not completed the online application, before you leave TONIGHT you must: Visit a laptop station to do so Complete the Blue Mt. Waiver form Pay in full with check (see above)
