2 INTRODUCTION Crnet Peak, Mt Hutt and The Remarkables cllectively ffer the ultimate New Zealand skiing and snwbarding experience. Three distinct ski areas lcated near tw unique resrt twns - Crnet Peak and The Remarkables in Queenstwn and Mt Hutt in Methven, Canterbury. These three ski areas are wned and perated by Suth Island Cmpany, NZSki Ltd (NZSki). The cmpany is cmmitted t the n-ging develpment f the ski areas, their industry partners and lcal resrt cmmunities. Extensive capital investment in recent years has cnsiderably upgraded the infrastructure at all three muntains. Investing heavily in its staff, facilities, snwmaking, grming, transprt and rental equipment t ensure that the guests' experience is the best it can pssibly be. Crnet Peak, Mt Hutt and The Remarkables ffer a premier snw hliday, usually frm early June t early-octber. WHERE WE ARE Mt Hutt ski area is a 35 minute drive frm the small resrt twn f Methven where mst grups and visitrs base themselves. Christchurch prvides the best flight access t Mt Hutt frm all majr Australian cities and is an easy ne hur drive alng the Canterbury plains t Methven. Crnet Peak and The Remarkables are the clsest ski areas t the wrld class resrt Queenstwn. Regular direct flights frm Australia t Queenstwn prvide easy access nly 3 hurs flight time away frm Australia s East Cast cities. Crnet Peak is a shrt 25 minute drive frm Queenstwn n a fully sealed access rad and The Remarkables is a 40 minute drive frm Queenstwn. With NZSki yu can even mix and match and ski/snwbard all three muntains during yur trip! The drive time between Methven and Queenstwn is apprximately 5 hurs n ne f the mst scenic rads in New Zealand. TERRAIN AND FACILITIES Crnet Peak, Mt Hutt and The Remarkables have terrain perfectly suited fr all ability levels whether it s yur first time skiing r snwbarding right thrugh t experts lking fr sme challenging slpes. NZSki has als invested heavily in the snw-making systems n all three ski areas. This, alng with Mther Nature, means cnsistently gd skiing and snwbarding is ensured frm early June till early Octber. THE PROGRAM OPTIONS There are tw schl tur prgram ptins available fr 2018: 1. Standard Schl Tur Prgram Includes a day lift pass, recreatinal rental equipment and 1 grup lessn. 1hr 50min lessn at Mt Hutt 1hr 25min lessn at Crnet Peak r The Remarkables 2. Full Day Schl Tur Prgram Includes a day lift pass, recreatinal rental equipment and 5 hurs f grup lessn time Lessn time is split int a mrning sessin and an afternn sessin. Please nte, the lunch break is nt supervised by the instructrs. The Full Day Schl Tur prduct des have a blackut perid and is nt available frm the 9 th f July 15 th f July 2018 (inclusive). Grups can bk either r bth f these ptins. Fr example, 3 days f the Full Day Prgram + 2 days f the Standard Prgram. Rental equipment cnsists f skis, bts & ples r snwbard & bts. Helmets and wrist guards are als included subject t availability. Clthing (jacket and ski pants uterwear) is nt included in the package but can be rented at an additinal cst fr thse that require it. In additin, we ffer a specified rati f adult supervisrs free f charge and discunted prducts when part f a schl grup. Any prduct requirements fr additinal adults utside f this allcatin will be charged at yur FIT rates as per yur 2018 NZSki Rates Agreement. Last updated: Nvember 2017

4 LIFT PASSES (mypass) All three ski areas use the mypass ticketing system. mypass replaces the paper and wire ticket with an advanced electrnic system that stres all yur lift tickets, equipment rental, lessns, and persnal snw stats n a single RFID card. When yu pre-bk yur grup with us, ur Sales and Reservatins Crdinatrs will have yur passes ready and waiting fr yu n the NZSki area that yu plan n visiting n the first day f yur trip. Mypass stres yur rental prfile (height, weight she size, ability level etc) after yur first visit, s anytime yu cllect rental equipment frm ne f ur ski areas ur rental teams will knw exactly what yu need and get yu ut n snw faster. At each chair lift, yur mypass is autmatically scanned as yu pass thrugh the access gate. There's n manual checking s yur mypass stays in yur pcket. RENTAL EQUIPMENT All NZSki ski areas have the revlutinary HEAD BYS ski fitting system which makes the rental fitting prcess much mre efficient, especially fr large grups. This means mre time n snw! The use f helmets is highly recmmended and is included in the package fr all schl grups (subject t availability). We prvide FREE vernight strage fr ur rental equipment when yu visit n cnsecutive days, which means yu dn t have t carry all the gear back t yur accmmdatin each night. If the grup is taking a day ff between ski days, the equipment needs t be returned back t rentals and cllected again n the next visit. We will d ur best t hld the gear aside if pssible but cannt guarantee this. Please nte that we d nt hire glves, gggles, sunglasses r beanies at ur ski areas. Individuals shuld bring their wn. There are retail shps n each ski area where these items can be purchased if frgtten. SNOWSPORTS LESSONS As a part f yur itinerary, all schl grups will take part in Ski and Snwbard lessns t ensure the safety and maximize the learning fr all participants. All NZSki s Snwsprts Schls cnfrm t ISIA (Internatinal Ski Instructrs Assciatin) standards f equivalency in the applicatin f Ski and Snwbard methdlgy. NZSki s three Snwsprts schls at Crnet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt ski areas are active members f NZSIA and supprt these rganisatins and many f ur staff achieve and maintain their qualificatins thrugh them. We pride urselves n emplying the wrld s best instructrs, all f which are certified by a brad sectin f ISIA member rganizatins, bringing a glbal perspective t ur lessns, while ensuring students receive the level f cnsistency and quality ISIA gvernance mandates. Our instructrs are qualified, many t the highest levels and many have supplemented their certificatin with specialist accreditatins in the areas f Children s Instructin, Race, and Free-Ride, including F.I.S. licenses and credentials. 5 MAKING A BOOKING Once the itinerary fr a grup has been planned ut, yu will need t bk in yur ski days by ing thrugh a bking request. On any given day, each ski area has a limited capacity fr schl grups (apprx students per day), s it s imprtant t bk in yur ski days early, especially during the schl hlidays. If a grup is planning t visit mre than ne f ur ski areas during their trip, ne bking request t the ski area that they plan t visit first. Include in the request all the days they wish t ski at Crnet Peak, Mt Hutt and The Remarkables. The Sales & Reservatins Crdinatr will then supply yu with an infrmatin template which needs t be cmpleted and returned via 2 weeks befre the grup s first day n snw. Infrmatin cntained in template will ask fr: Schl Grup Leader cntact details (must be travelling with the grup) Names f adult supervisrs # f students skiing / # f students snwbarding Ski r snwbard ability level fr each student Any additinal requirements If we cannt cnfirm yur requested dates and due t reaching capacity; we will wrk with yu t try and fit the grup in a different time slt r day. Once the infrmatin template is returned we will finalise the bking and advise lessn start times fr each day. Yu may nw als enter the bking int the NZSki Agent Website t manage payment. 6 CHANGES AND REFUNDS Bkings are strictly nn-refundable and nn-transferable frm the grup s first day n snw. Any changes t yur bking befre the grup s first date n snw must be apprved by the Sales and Reservatins crdinatr and will need t be prcessed thrugh the NZSki Agent Website befre prducts are issued. We highly recmmend everyne purchases cmprehensive Travel Insurance that includes ski and snwbarding activities. If a client wishes t make a claim with their insurance prvider fr prducts nt utilised, we can prvide a letter f cnfirmatin if required. Please cntact the Sales and Reservatins Crdinatrs fr this. CONTINGENCY PLANNING & CLOSED DAYS Naturally, we perate in a very changeable winter alpine envirnment where the weather and snw cnditins can change rapidly. We have access t extensive weather mdelling and frecasting data that ur Ski Area Managers and Operatins staff will use t make decisins abut the peratin f the ski areas. Hwever, it s nt an exact science and cnditins can change at any time withut warning. T find ut the status f the ski areas and access rad cnditins the first Snw Reprt fr each ski area will be updated at apprximately 6:30am daily. If there are any changes thrughut the day, the Snw Reprt will be updated. Fr the mst up t date infrmatin please check the Snw Reprts here: The safety f ur staff and ur guests is ur highest pririty s there are times where lifts may be subject t wind hld r we feel it s best t clse the ski area fr the day. If the ski area the grup has bked t visit is peratinal, the schl prgramme and grup lessns will g ahead as planned, unless therwise advised but ur Sales and Reservatins team. Nte that the Sales and Reservatins crdinatrs hurs f peratin are 8:30am 4pm daily. In Queenstwn, we are frtunate that the muntains very rarely clse due t pr weather. Hwever, if the ski area yu have bked t visit is clsed fr the day, we will try t reschedule yur visit at ur ther ski area. If that is nt pssible, we will reschedule fr anther day. If neither ptin is pssible, we will refund yu fr the day missed. Mt Hutt is a little mre prne t adverse cnditins that frce us t clse the muntain. Again, if yu have bked t visit and Mt Hutt is clsed fr the day, we will try t reschedule yur visit. If that is nt pssible we will refund yu fr the day missed. If yur grup experiences a clsed day at a nn-nzski muntain, please cntact the NZSki schls and grups crdinatrs if yu want t try t bring this grup t ne f ur ski areas instead. Where pssible, we may be able t accmmdate yur grup at ne f ur muntains. This must be arranged with the Schls and Grups Crdinatr BEFORE the grup makes their way t ur ski area. If we are able t accmmdate the extra day, it will be charged as an extra day at the schl tur rate. We are unable t transfer a previusly bked day. 8 ON THE MOUNTAIN Pass Cllectin All tickets and passes will be pre-printed and ready fr the grup s arrival at the ski area they ve bked t visit first. Please head straight t the Snwsprts Ticket Desk r Guest Services n the ski area and ask fr the Sales and Reservatins Crdinatr. Our Sales and Reservatins Crdinatr will issue all the passes and tickets and explain hw they wrk. They will als advise the grup f their lessn meeting area and any ther imprtant details fr the day. Rental Cllectin Once yu have cllected yur mypass cards frm the Sales and Reservatins Crdinatr please prceed directly t Rentals. Our staff are n hand t assist thrughut the rental cllectin prcess. Rentals are pen frm 8.00am at Crnet Peak and 8.15am at Mt Hutt and The Remarkables n the day f yur visit. Fr safety reasns, we recmmend wearing helmets as part f the schl skiing prgram. Helmet hire is included in the prgramme cst. Wrist guards are als highly recmmended fr all snwbarders and are prvided free f charge (limited stck available). Perfrmance rental equipment (high end skis and snwbards) are available fr adults/teachers t hire at full retail rate. An upgrade frm standard Recreatinal equipment is nt available fr anyne n FOC r student rate packages. NZSki ski areas d nt have waterprf glves, gggles, sunglasses r warm hats available fr rent. All individuals must bring their wn; alternatively these items can be purchased frm ur n-muntain retail stres. We prvide free vernight strage fr ur equipment if the grup is planning t visit a ski area fr cnsecutive days. Bts may be taken ff the muntain and stred at yur accmmdatin t dry vernight. In Queenstwn, if the grup is transferring between Crnet Peak and the Remarkables n cnsecutive days, they may take their equipment with them between muntains. Equipment can be drpped ff at either muntain n the grup s last day. If the schl is having a day ff between ski days (dwn day), rental equipment must be returned back t Rentals befre departing the muntain. We will endeavur t stre the grups equipment separately and nly use it if essential n peak days, but this cannt be guaranteed. Please discuss with the Rentals Manager prir t departing the muntain fr advice n this. As per the Terms & Cnditins f the rental agreement, the renter is liable fr the cst f replacement if equipment is lst r stlen, and the cst t repair the equipment if damaged. 9 Full Day Prgram 5 hurs ttal at all ski areas. This is split int 3 hurs in the mrning and 2 hurs in the afternn with a break fr lunch. Please be aware that the lunch is nt supervised by the instructrs. Standard Schl Tur lessn times Lessn times will be advised by the NZSki Sales and Reservatins team later in May 2018 nce the Snwsprts team has reviewed all bkings. The slt they are allcated depends n their ability level and hw many days skiing they have had. Generally, we will allcate beginners t mrning lessns and grups n the 3 rd + day t afternn lessns. Please ensure teachers have students rganised in their grups, with equipment and ready t g at least ten (10) minutes prir t the lessn times bked fr yur grup. Delayed departures mean that lessns will be shrtened. In the event f late arrival t yur stated lessn time because f transprtatin, rentals r any ther circumstance utside f ur cntrl, where pssible the Snwsprts Schl will attempt t re-arrange lessn times in cnjunctin with yur grup crdinatr. Althugh it is ur gal, we cannt guarantee the same instructr fr each day f yur visit. Grup size target f 10 students f similar ability per instructr. Grup sizes may be in the range f 5 15 students depending n ability and the spread f abilities acrss the wider grup. Where pssible and when practical, we will merge grups t ensure grup ratis are met and lessns can be delivered at the stated time. Where grup sizes are belw 5 students, they may be asked t jin regular public lessns. If students are attending public grup lessns, please cllect a ticket frm the Sales & Reservatins Crdinatr in the mrning. Teachers are entitled t lessns as part f the adult supervisr allcatin and may d ne f the fllwing; If they are the same ability as students, they may jin in with the schl grup If there is n suitable student grup, the teacher may jin the public adult grup lessns at 10.20am. (Grup Lessn Terms and Cnditins d apply) Additinal adults utside f the 1:10 rati will have t purchase their prducts at yur standard rates. As there is limited availability with respect t lessns, any request t change muntain r lessn times must be cnfirmed by NZSki and will nly be cnsidered n as space available basis.
