2 Concept Since 2002, the Snow Avant Première has been gathering the whole snowboard world. The event s spirit is not only about snowboards testing; it s a real special time to share with all the market s actors: shops, brands and media. In 2011 the Snow Avant Première hosted 342 shops based in 5 countries; 3461 boards (divided on 41 brands) have been tested during 5 days (3 days in La Clusaz, 2 days in Peyragudes in the Pyrenees). We invite foreign retailers for 2 years now and welcome more and more English retailers (they are used to travel to go riding). In 2011, 27 English shops came in La Clusaz with English brand manager (k2, Salomon, Arbor, Flow Nitro, Burton ), and each retailer appreciated these tests and wants to return in The resorts We will stay at La Clusaz in the French Alps and in Peyragudes Pyrenees. La Clusaz is a beautiful typical resort well known for freeride and backcountry freestyle hills. The resort always warmly welcomes and helps us organizing a nice event (beds facilities, about 400m² exhibition space). It s also easy to come from Geneva airport for those who want to come by plane, either by car (close from the motorway) or train (Annecy train station at 30min). Peyragudes is in the middle of the Pyrénées. The event is taking place while the Ski Test Tour (same tests as Snow Avant Premiere for the ski industry) to satisfy most of the Pyrenean retailers who usually sell both skis and snowboards.

La Clusaz Dates: Sunday the 15 th to Tuesday the 17 th of January 2012. Venue: La Clusaz, on the parking below Balme, at the feet of the cable cars of Balme and Fernuy.

Principle: A tents village (maximum 6x3m by exhibitor) right on snow for equipment tests of season 2012/2013 A cover exhibition space located at the extension of the test village: each firm can reserve a space of 3x3m to present their products. The domain of Balme and the naturals backcountry kickers, the snowpark at 10 min from the test village. The Snow Avant Première s party is regrouping all brands, riders, retailers, and media on Sunday, the 15 th of January. 1 day Invitation for 2 persons per store is including: 1 ski pass per person for the La Clusaz s resort 1 breakfast, 1 Lunch, Drink at the end of the day, A pass for the Snow Avant Première s party, Possibility of additional days for 42 VAT excl per person per day Functioning: Tests will take place from 9 am to 4.30 pm Entry and out of skis will be controlled by a software. The exhibition space will not be delimited with walls. Each brand will have to bring their display stands to build up the space which will be at their disposal. Test Village and the exhibition tent will be locked after during the night. Possibility to park your car behind the test village and the exhibition tent on the parking of La Balme. Breakfast in test village. Evening drinks in the showroom tent.

Peyragudes Dates: Sunday the 05th and Monday the 06th February 2012.

4 Peyragudes Dates: Sunday the 05th and Monday the 06th February We organize both ski and snowboard tests in Peyragudes because the number of retailers increase such as your visibility on the French and Pyrenean market. Venue: on Peyresourde s mountainside, at the feet of the Carousel s chair lift. Here as in La Clusaz, retailers are invited 1 day for 2 persons per store. They will get: 1 ski pass per person and per day for the Peyragudes resort 1 Breakfast 1 Lunch Accommodation // additional day In la Clusaz, we propose some package that included a Hostel night (twin room), breakfast, Snow Avant Première additional day, ski pass and lunch ticket. This pack cost 130 per person (note: 110 only if the reservation is made before December the 25th 2011). The retailers who only want to take a hostel night with breakfast will be charged 70 (twin room) fixed price only the 15 & 16 and 50 for an extra day on the Snow Avant Première (accreditation, skipass, lunch ticket). In Peyragudes we will propose a special price for a flat. This year we provided a flat (for 4 persons) for 55 per person for two days. The extra day including accreditation, skipass and lunch ticket will be charge 50.

Retailer s invitations Snow Avant Première invitations are sent to a data base of more than 1000 French shops and 600 divided between Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Benelux and United Kingdom.

Various press coverages from the pro and spe media. Retailer s invitations Snow Avant Première invitations are sent to a data base of more than 1000 French shops and 600 divided between Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Benelux and United Kingdom. A shuttle between Geneva and la Clusaz will still be on this year again. We want to develop our European data base, for that we would like to work together with Brands European headquarters in order to invite more and more retailers in each of these countries. If you want to invite your retailers please send us an excel listing to florence@sportair.fr Sunday s party: for this edition a party will be organized at the Salto s pub in la Clusaz. Drinks, buffet dinner and dj, set up to 2 hours of the morning. All the retailers present on Sunday will be invited to take part in this evening, in order to create a special and friendly meeting between all the participants of Snow Avant Première.

6 Test rental software We use software dedicated to manage a test flow, and send back information to the exhibitors. This is how it works: 1. Retailers who receive an invitation for the Snow Avant Premiere fill it and send it back to us. This invitation is valid for one testing day for 2 persons per shop. 2. We check if the shop is in our data base and if it buys snowboards from (at least) one of our exhibitors. 3. We print on a plastic badge the information regarding the retailers: name, surname, name of the shop, zip code, etc and provide an unique barcode. 4. Before riding the new boards, the retailers have to go the welcome desk; we will verify their identity and give them their personal badge. If they didn t ask for it before, we can provide badge on site. 5. As soon as he gets his badge, the retailer can rent a board at the booth of his favorite brand. Just before leaving the village, someone from our staff will bip his badge and the barcode on the board (we provide special barcode for the exhibitor s boards). 6. When the retailer comes back, we just bip his board and he can choose another one board to test. This software allows us to issue statistics for our exhibitors such as how many boards have been tested during the day (or during the event). We also provide detailed statistics day by day to each of our exhibitor: Name, surname of the tester, the shop name, all the boards he tested during the day. All these information are presented to every exhibitor after each day on paper leaf, and on excel listing at the end of the event.
