1 Message from the President Greetings Brookfield Chamber of Commerce members. As I write this month s letter it is a warm beautiful day and I am glad to finally be done with the eight months of winter (fingers crossed). I hope you are all doing well and that you are well into a productive and profitable Spring. May 2018 Brookfield Chamber of Commerce 2018 Officers & Directors There are a lot of great events coming up that I am excited for. First off, we have a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new business, L Unica Salon, on Saturday May 12th at noon. They are located at st Street here in town. Please take a moment to stop by and welcome our new member and support their business. My wife & I recently attended the ribbon cutting for Marco Ganja s State Farm office and it was wonderful getting to know him, his team and meet his awesome family. If you or a neighboring business are interested in doing a grand opening or ribbon cutting, please contact me at steven.langworthy@edwardjones.com Our next Chamber event is more of a party for Brookfield. Please join us for the Old Fashioned Street Dance on May 19th from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. There will be fun, food and of course dancing, all evening. If you can, you should stop by to be a part of the fun. The Farmers Market is just one month away, can you believe it? In case you weren t aware, as a chamber member you welcome to drop off marketing materials to the welcome tent at every market. Also, you have the opportunity to have a table for one of the markets to advertise your business. 4 The Village of Brookfield is pleased to announce the third annual Bike Brookfield! This free community event will take place on May 19 th, (If thunderstorms occur on the 19th, the rain date will be May 26th.) 9:00 a.m. Bike Rodeo to promote bike safety, coordinated by the Brookfield Police Department 10:00 a.m. Kids Ride for young children 11:00 a.m. 10 Kilometer Community Ride through the some of the major business districts and recreational areas in our community. 11:45 a.m. Bike Brookfield Raffle Prizes REGISTRATION INFORMATION Online registration is open! 7 The Brookfield Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the 2018 Custom Car Show on Sunday, July 15th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We d like YOU to be a part of it! The Car Show will again be held on 3700 block of Grand Boulevard! The auto show attracts people from all over the city and suburbs, as well as many Brookfield residents every year. It is a great opportunity for the businesses on Grand Boulevard to welcome patrons, new and old. In order to make this a success, sponsors are needed. There are three sponsorship levels available, and are described below. Sponsorship deadline is June 2nd (to allow time for printing of posters and banners). Business Name: Contact Name, Address & Phone Number: Booth/Vendor Site Set-Up: You will need a 10 x 10 canopy, table, chairs, and signage identifying your business the day of the event.
