2 Are you aware that Mammoth Mountain opened on November 13th? The pictures of the Mountain looked quite inviting! As the seasons change into Winter and we begin to think of Christmas, it s now time to run through your closet to see what you will need. Remember to take out your gear and inspect them for damage. Be sure to take your bindings to a store such as REI to get your bindings checked and your skis tuned. REI also have plenty of winter items that you may need to add to or replace anything in your wardrobe. Don t forget to continue to eat healthy, drink plenty of water, and continue your exercise regimen. Just because the weather is cooling down does not mean that all motion stops! Once you are fully prepared for the winter season, check out some of the wonderful events that we have planned. The Ski and Snowboard Camp will be going out in December. Urban Winter fest will be trekking out to Bend, Oregon during the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend to enjoy Mt. Bachelor. Once again, we will be heading out to Snowmass, Colorado for a glorious week at the NBS Summit, and the list of fun events go on and on! I m beginning to get quite excited to enjoy the beauty of Winter and to smell the fresh air with all of you! Come out and enjoy Winter with 4SW, and skiing/boarding is not a requirement! There is snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dogsleds, wine tasting and much more! Ski Ya Soon! Jane Page 2 of 15 4SW NEWSLETTER December 2014* Volume 76* Number 36
