2 UCS SKI/SNOWBOARD CLUB FRIDAY NIGHTS AT MT. HOLLY (THE BEST NIGHT!!!) Please review costs and rules for the Snowboard and Ski Club Sponsor: Kristi Carpenter (teacher) **** FOLLOW ON General Club/Membership Fees: (please note checks must be made out to Utica Community Schools) or cash. Utica Ski & Snowboard Club Fee: One-time membership discount card fee of $18. Student, sibling and parent cards are also available (adult cards, 16 and older, same price! $18.00). Membership card includes 1 free snowboard lesson or 2 free ski lessons. Membership card allows members to purchase discounted lift tickets on weekdays (after 3 pm) when the club does not meet. No weekend discounts! Holiday Rates: Dec 21st-Jan 5th ** No student tickets or lessons prices available** Club members may use their membership card at the ticket window for $5 discount on lift tickets. No discounts on rentals. Weekly Fees: Your weekly fee will vary depending on the activities in which you wish to participate. Lift ticket $18 Ski rental $18 Snowboard Rental $18 (Copy of photo ID is REQUIRED) Helmet rental $10 Patches $2.50 All Mt. Holly payments should be combined into one check that includes driver s license # & phone #. Make checks out to Utica Community Schools Cash is also accepted. Note that Mt. Holly will NOT sell discount tickets or rentals at the window for members on club nights from 4:00-7:30 p.m. Mt. Holly will sell discount tickets to STUDENTS ONLY on club nights after 8:30 p.m. Safety: All participants are strongly encouraged to wear helmets (snowboarders should also wear wrist guards). This sport, like many others, carries with it some inherent risks. Neither the club sponsors nor Utica Community Schools will be held responsible for

3 anything involving your student s (or any family member) actions or their health while at Mt. Holly. All necessary contacts will be made if an injury does occur and it will be the responsibility of the parent to arrive at Mt. Holly to take any necessary actions. Membership Card: When you have received your membership card, DO NOT LOSE IT. If lost, you will be required to purchase a new card (membership card is required for club discount pricing). Remember this card also provides member with discounted pricing on non-club ski night (except weekends) and free ski or snowboard lessons (depending on the card you purchase). Free lessons are attached to the card. We strongly encourage pre-registration!!! Weekly Pre-Payments: Skiers/Snowboarders who pre-register and prepay can pick up their lift tickets and rental forms from Kristi Carpenter at school. Those who cannot prepay can purchase tickets at the UCS table in the fireplace room at Slope Side Café on Friday prior to hitting the slopes. Look for the UCS table by the fireplace! A sponsor will be selling tickets from 4:00 6:00 at this location. All checks must be made out to Mt. Holly and include driver s license number and phone number. Check or cash only please. Refunds: There will be no lift ticket, ski rental, or snowboard rental refunds. Patch System: The patch system is all about kids learning to ski/snowboard well! Students earn patches by participating in lessons provided by Mt. Holly during club night. The patches allow students access to certain areas at Mt. Holly. As the participant earns more patches, they earn the right to ski/snowboard at more advanced runs. Patches MUST be affixed to the skier s/snowboarder s jacket in a permanent fashion. Order in which patches need to be earned: Skier: yellow, Brown, Blue, Orange, White Black Snowboarder: yellow, brown, black Lessons: Your membership card entitles you to two free ski lesson or one free snowboard lesson. Additional ski lessons ($9) or snow board lessons are ($18) may be purchased at the Ski School at Mt. Holly. Mt. Holly lesson times are at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm (may vary from week to week.

4 Supervision: Parent volunteers will be on the slopes, in the rental area and in the cafeteria to assist students and keep a watchful eye on them. However, students/siblings are ultimately responsible for their own actions while Mt. Holly and must adhere to school rules and will be asked to leave if acting inappropriately. Parents, please be advised that your student/siblings WILL NOT BE OFFICIALLY SUPERVISED at any time. Outing Cancellations: If weather is not suitable for skiing, cancellations will be posted on or Edmodo.com. Transportation: Parents are responsible for transportation of students & siblings to and from Mt. Holly.
