1 School Information Package Each year Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort offers discounts for schools to bring their students for a day full of fun and excitement. The following package includes information about our resort as well as pricing and discount opportunities. We are located 39 kilometers north of Melfort on Hwy 6 in the Wapiti Valley Regional Park and are open mid December to end of March or beginning of April each year. *SPECIAL OFFER* Schools who book in January 2018 will receive rates.

2 About Us Wapiti Valley Ski Area has 15 slopes that are groomed daily,including a quad chair lift and a magic carpet lift. There is also an exciting Terrain Park for the freestyle enthusiasts! We invite you to enjoy the warmth and hospitality of our lodge including cafeteria with full menu and fresh baking daily. Lessons and instructional programs are mandatory for students. We have Certified CSIA, CASIand CADS ski and snowboard instructors for all and ability levels, including those withdisabilities to ensure your students have a safe and enjoyable experience. At Wapiti Valley we take pride in making sure your visit is as pleasant as possible. So come enjoy winter along side our friendly and supportive staff here at the Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort.

If a student wishes to wear a toque, please advise them to wear one that will fit under the helmet. Also, if a student has their own equipment and only requires a helmet the fee is $3.00. 4 PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT FORM (School) is arranging a trip for students to come to Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort. This signed form is required for all students who wish to participate in either the skiing or snowboarding education program. It should be understood that the purpose of this program is educations. Lessons are mandatory. INHERENT RISK: Skiing and/or snowboarding are sports with physical and inherent risks which are beyond the control of Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort. Falls, collisions and other incidents may occur and cause injury. Participants will assume the inherent risk of the sport. Following all rules and procedures can reduce the risk of injury. Failure to follow rules will result in the student losing their lift ticket and future resort privileges. EQUIPMENT: Wapiti Valley Ski & Board Resort provides rental equipment. Bindings on ski equipment reduce the risk of injury when falling. They will not release under all circumstance and they do not guarantee safety in all cases. Parents/Guardians must accept responsibility for equipment that is lost or damaged (other than reasonable wear and tear). ALPINE RESPONSIBILITY CODE: (See page 2) The ski industry has produces a Responsibility Code which Wapiti Valley requires that you know and obey. Skiers/Snowboarders must always be in control and able to stop and change direction to avoid collisions with people or objects. Wapiti Valley may revoke a lift ticket for violation of the code or other unacceptable conduct. Please note that if you arrive to Wapiti Valley ahead of your school group, your children must wait for the school to arrive before they can receive their lift tickets and equipment. Page 1 of 2

5 PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT FORM Continued All students must be classified according to the following guide. GREEN BLUE BLACK Ski or Board 0 3 times. Introduction to skiing or snowboarding. Lessons designed for first time or riders who need practice of basic skills Ski or Board 4 10 times. Riders who can turn both ways in snowplow or sideslip and come to a controlled stop. 11+ times. Skiers or Snowboarders who can parallel ski, or carve both ways on a snowboard. This will be Black Diamond runs and will challenge the riders skills. We strongly suggest that students go in the level that suits their ability and not that of their friends. All students MUST take a lesson, there are no exceptions. Loss of lift tickets may happen if students miss their lesson. Page 2 of 2
