2 Bannering and Signage U.S. Ski Team Standard horizontal banner size is 2 x 3 meters ( " x 39.36"). The U.S. Ski Team logo should appear three times on a horizontal banner. The U.S. Ski Team logo should appear once on a square banner. Any other size banner should maximize the amount of space for the logos but allot sufficient clear space. 5 Bannering and Signage: Co-op Positioning U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding When positioning other verbiage or logos with the U.S. Ski Team and/or U.S. Snowboarding logos, follow the logo standards (including clear space) and, if applicable, the logo positioning for co-op relationships. Sec. 6, Page d
6 Embroidery U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and USSA Logo standards should be followed when embroidering the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding or USSA logos. When embroidering, be conscious to not embroider too small so that the words ( Ski Team, SNOWBOARDING, etc.) are not legible. Smallest embroidered logo size should be 1.75" (4.4 cm) x 1.75" for U.S. Ski Team and 2.5" x 1.25" (6.4 x 3.2 cm) for U.S. Snowboarding. To ensure quality, please use a high stitch count. Thread colors should be matched as closely as possible to the specified PMS colors. If using Madiera thread colors, the following should be used: Red: 1147 Blue: 1166 White: 1001 Gold: 1191 If using Robison-Anton thread colors, the following should be used: Red: Scarlet Blue: Saphire Blue White Gold: Old Gold Sec. 7, Page a
7 Patches U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and USSA Logo standards should be followed when creating a patch out of the U.S. Ski Team and/or U.S. Snowboarding or USSA logos. U.S. Ski Team and/or U.S. Snowboarding or USSA patches should be in a prominent and appropriate position. Patches and Embroidery: Co-op positioning U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and USSA A few general rules for positioning U.S. Ski Team and/or U.S. Snowboarding or USSA logos with other logos are as follows: CLUBS: Clubs cannot use the U.S. Ski Team or U.S. Snowboarding logos as a primary mark. If used, as a secondary position, clubs can use the U.S. Ski Team or U.S. Snowboarding logos as long as merchandise is an official USSA supplier or licensee. Please check with the USSA marketing department if you have questions. Clubs can use the USSA logo as a primary mark. See USSA add-ons for proper positioning (Sec. 4, Page d). USSA: A USSA mark can be the primary mark, however, when used in conjunction with the U.S. Ski Team and/or U.S. Snowboarding, it should be the secondary mark. For example, the U.S. Ski Team and/or U.S. Snowboarding logos would appear on the chest of a jacket with the USSA logo on the sleeve. SPONSORS/LICENSEES/SUPPLIERS/etc.: Sponsors, suppliers and licensees should use the U.S. Ski Team and/or U.S. Snowboarding logos when producing patches. It is acceptable for sponsors, suppliers and licensees to use the logo itself (versus the logo plus text add-on) to ease production of patches. Sec. 8, Page a
8 Merchandise: Approval U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and USSA When selecting promotional items, consider the quality of the product and that the product is cohesive with the USSA s Vision, Mission and Core Values. Always use the logos on the product appropriately and maintain quality and resolution throughout production. Merchandise produced by an outside vendor must come from an official licesnsee and when using the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding or the USSA logo, it should follow the following review process: 1. Initial concepts should be presented to the Image Director. 2. Image Director will provide prompt feedback. 3. If applicable, changes should be made by the vendor. 4. Product undergoes final proofing by the Image Director. 5. Once the Image Director signs off on the layout, the coordinating department should take the final layout to the Image Review Committee which includes: 1. The department s VP. 2. The Executive Image Review Committee (Mark Lampe, CFO, Dick Coe, COO and Bill Marolt, CEO). Each member of the Image Review Committee must sign off on the layout before the project can be produced. The Executive Image Review Committee must be allowed at least five days for approval. NOTE: Review by the Executive Image Review Committee may result in redesign. Allowance beyond the five days is advised. Sec. 9, Page a
