Report attached. Old Business: The AWSC 2015 calendars are available for $20 from Bob Meyer. We are still looking for a new Youth Representative who must be of high school age. Snowmobile maps and laminates are available at the Forestry Department in the courthouse. Barb Berger reported Hope Hospice will be celebrating its 30 th anniversary. Nicole Winchell ( ) reported there will be an all-day fund raiser event at the Whittlesey Park on July 11 th. Possible ideas for the event are a band and games. Snowmobile clubs are requested to donate time for grilling food and organizing other events. There will be no fish boil in April. See Calendar of events. After discussion, motion by Dan Roiger, second Jim Seefeld, to cancel the Snowmobile Clubs Council meeting for September. Motion carried. On the DNR website, under Recreational Safety education class s location may be looked up. Contact Gary Becker ( ) for Northwoods Riders classes starting Contact Peter Nowak ( ) for Black River Rock Dodgers classes beginning Bob Meyer, AWSC representative gave his update. The DNR supplemental rate is 67.2%. Warning beacons should be on groomers contact Collett at or acsainfo@nowmobilers.org AWSC will no longer consider a significant other to be considered as a family membership Online club rosters are available for updates A re-route by new mink farm on the C Trail is being worked on. Report attached. Old Business: The new snowmobile maps and laminates are ready for pick up and distribution. Maps can be picked up at the County Forestry Department in the courthouse. Hailey Duerr has resigned as the Youth Representative. So we will be looking for a new Youth Representative who must be of high school age. Fun Day raffle tickets are available for pick-up and sale. Trail opening process is as follows: one person from Rock Dodgers, Jump River Runners and the Grooming Association contacts Russ Aszmann, Snowmobile Coordinator and 1 2 day notice to clubs before announcing to public. Bob Meyer reported on February 8 & 9 there will be a Hayward VIP Ride. Next season you must have a Trail Pass sticker on sled to operate on trails. There is work being done on changing regulations on Antique snowmobile sticker pass. The AWSC raffle tickets are available see Bob Meyer. Calendars and raffle from ACSA are $20.00 see Bob Meyer. The Silent Auction raised over $5,000 for scholarships. Also Toys for Tots drive was successful. Wally reported on paperwork for worksheet. Use new rates every year which are found on DNR website Parking and idling time does not count Commute hours to groomer does not count Put full name on work sheet Equipment hours cannot exceed labor hours Do not claim miles for non-funded trails The 2013 supplemental rate is 68%.

Report attached. Old Business: The new snowmobile maps are printed and ready for pick up and distribution. Maps can be picked up at the County Forestry Department in the courthouse. Fun Day raffle tickets have not been ordered yet. Elaine is waiting for a license from the State. The Wisconsin Trail Pass Rule will be implemented for the season. No ATV trail pass will be required. Bob Meyer reported the AWSC will have a raffle and tickets are $100 each. They are available to Clubs and individuals. The January Director s meeting has been moved to Wausau. It will be held on January 9, 10, & 11 th. The Youth Group is holding a toy drive. They are accepting new toys; contact Elaine for more information. Report attached. Old Business: Wisconsin Trail Pass Rule (CAP/STEP AB407) starts in Northwoods Riders will be hosting Fun Day on February 21 at Zondlos Bar. The Clubs were asked to look for mistakes on maps and ads. Motion by Kevin Klemm, 2 nd by Duwayne Troiber, to order 10,000 copies & 50 laminated copies of snowmobile map from Quik Print when all changes have been made. Motion carried. Clubs are asked to update Club President listing. ATV owners will not be required to buy trail pass in Chippewa County Club representative Dan Westby informed the Council concerning issues with possible closing of Trail 99 in Chippewa County. There is an anti-snowmobile trail group trying to persuade landowners in Chippewa County and possibly Taylor County to close snowmobile trails. Bob Meyer gave an update on the Directors meeting held in July. Bob discussed a new publication called Facts and Myths about Snowmobiling and Winter Trails. CAP/STEP law is now officially called WI Trail Pass Rule. In 2015 you will need a trail pass on your snowmobile for trail or corridor riding. You must be a club member & AWSC member to purchase a discounted trail pass. Clubs must get ready for trail passes and new members. Workshops are coming up on how to welcome new members. AWSC stickers can be ordered and Bob will pick-up. Upcoming workshops will be held to do membership rosters online. Fat Tire bikes are now allowed on State Trails and Vilas County is discussing an ordinance. Youth Group is doing a toy drive and no AWSC raffle anymore. Report attached. Old Business: Barb Berger reported the Hope Hospice event will be held on April 11 th. She reported they need volunteers for bartending & clean-up. Raffle prizes include a rifle & crossbow. A special thanks to Sandy Roiger for getting prizes & gifts. Barb Berger suggested the Clubs rotate for the Fun Day event. Northwoods is scheduled for next year and then Club names will be put in hat & drawn for order. Fun Day rotation will be as follows: 2015 Northwoods; 2016 Westboro; 2017 Northwoods; 2018 Westside; 2019 Rock Dodgers; 2020 Pine Creek; 2021 Whittlesey; 2022 Stumpjumpers; 2023 River Runners; 2024 SWAT; 2025 Interwald; and 2026 Moonlite. Russ Aszmann gave an update on the new snowmobile map. Maps will be done in orange this time or next? Also Club contact information should be included on maps. Bob Meyer gave an update on the recently passed CAP/STEP AB407 which has a 4 Year Sunset clause. The discount Trail Pass must be purchased through AWSC. Purchase early as it takes at least 2 days for pass to come through the mail. Each Club Secretary must get membership list in a timely manner and at least once a week if you get new members. Several items to note 1) Clubs should increase membership 2) consider Websites and Paypal for new members to contact clubs and 3) Must have contact information on AWSC website. A thank you to Mary Williams & Jerry Petrowski for their support of CAP/STEP AB407. Youth Representative age remains at years old. AWSC membership is up this year. Fat Tire s on snowmobile trails - some issues. Vilas County may draft ordinance. Election of Officers was held. Motion by Starla Meyer, second by Lynn Jochimsen, to keep all officers the same for next year; motion carried. The Northwoods Riders are having a Fish Fry fundraiser at Zondlo s on April 25 th. Bob Meyer will be meeting with the USFS on the new trail.

Report attached. Elaine Emmerich reported on Fun Day hosted by Pine Creek Riders. Old Business: Pine Creek Riders reported a successful Fun Day. A good time was had by all. Suggestions for the next Fun Day maybe use the Centennial Hall in Stetsonville. Barb Berger reported she has tickets and posters for the Hope Hospice event which will be held on April 11 th. She is still looking for donations/prizes for the raffle and also a volunteer from each club to work at the event. Russ Aszmann gave an update on the new snowmobile map and requests all map ads be in to Forestry Office by April 3 rd. Bob Meyer gave an update on the CAP/STEP AB407. The bill passed 89 6 with a 4 year sunset clause. The non-resident trail pass went from $35 to $50 and $30/three year registration structure. March 17 is the deadline for conference sign-up. Voting delegate forms need to be sent in by March 17. Cathy Burrows will be giving a snowmobile grant presentation. At the convention, the Youth Group will host casino night Friday, March 28 and on Saturday, March 29 there will be a silent auction. Bob reported he has one room available. Next year s Fun Day will be held on February 21 st volunteer. and the Council is looking for a club to Discussion was held on fat tire bikes on snowmobile trails. The clubs consider this use on trails to be very dangerous. There needs to be a policy to ban them and the Rail Trail needs a policy. Would an ordinance be needed? Jeff Mauch from the Northwoods Riders reported on the Spirit Falls Trail; stick with one route on County Forest and map changes.

11 Next meeting will be April 3 rd at Diane s Back 40 Bar hosted by Jump River Runners. (W14393 County Rd F 2 miles west of Lublin on County Rd F). Report attached. Old Business: Bob Meyer reported he purchased signs from Renta Flash for the ATV 28º rule. Cost was 4 $14.25 each with $18 shipping fee. Luke Peche has volunteered to pick up signs saving the shipping cost. Club representatives will meet & decide on how many to order. Kevin Klemm thanked everyone for coming out for their poker run and Snowflake event. Fun Day is scheduled for February 15 th at the Deer Creek Town Hall hosted by Pine Creek Riders. Barb Berger reported the Hope Hospice event will be held on April 11 th. Clubs should get in prizes and raffle prizes before April 11 th. Bob Meyer gave an update on the CAP/STEP AB407. Under the revised bill the new Trail Pass costs were reduced from $15 to $10 for AWSC members and $35 to $30 for non-members. The $30 registration fee will be for every 2 years. This passed the Tourism Committee Thank you goes to Senator Jerry Petrowski for his support. It was reported there have been 14 deaths so far this snowmobile season. The ASWC Convention will be held in March. The proposed groomer GPS system was discussed. The groomer operators did not feel this would be a good idea at this time. Election for AWSC Director was held. Elaine Emmerich nominated Bob Meyer, Director and Wally Emmerich as Representative, second by Sandy Roiger with a motion to close nominations and cast a unanimous vote. Motion carried. The updated snowmobile map changes were discussed. Next meeting will be March 6 th at BS Bar hosted by Stumpjumpers. Dennis Lavin made a motion to adjourn, 2 nd by Rick Berger. Motion carried.

Report attached. Old Business: Bob Meyer reported on prices for signs from Renta Flash regarding ATV 28º rule; the ordinance number needs to be included on sign. Motion by Dan Roiger and 2 nd by Galen Raasch, to approve 12 X 18 sign with white background and red lettering; motion carried. Other colors will be checked into. Bob Meyer gave an update on the CAP/STEP AB407. Bob urged members to contact Representative Mary Williams and Senator Jerry Petrowski to support AB407 and SB343. AWSC website under Legislative has AB407 information. The bill is intended to increase trail funding and encourage club membership. Let your representatives know how CAP/STEP AB407 will provide the funds for the increasing costs of maintaining the trail system. New members cards need to be sent in to AWSC. Scholarship applications are due by February 3, Contact Mary Williams at Rep.WilliamsM@legis.wisconsin.gov And Jerry Petrowski at Sen.Petrowski@legis.wisconsin.gov. The Council s new Youth Representative is Hailey Duerr from Interwald Wanderers Club. Trail Report is as follows: conditions are good; trail is open to ATV s on Saturday at 7:00 AM. Snowmobile Safety classes report. Dan Roiger reported classes were full and all students completed the course. Peter Nowak classes are set for January 6 & 9. Fun Day is scheduled for February 15 th at the Deer Creek Town Hall hosted by Pine Creek Riders. Poker Run hosted by Stump Jumpers is scheduled for January 24 & 25. Call Dan Roiger inquired about Snowmobile Trail easements. Next meeting will be February 6 th at PBR Lounge hosted by West Side Trail Winders.
