Transportation, bilingual guides and certified naturalists, entrance fee, snacks and refreshments after the tour right near the beach. 1.2) CARARA NATIONAL PARK (BIOLOGICAL RESERVE FOR BIRDWATCHING LOVERS) Carara National Park is located in the northernmost region of the remaining Costa Rican Pacific rainforest, and is the beginning of the transition zone into the tropical dry forests of the northwest region. It is one of Costa Rica's most popular National Parks, primarily due to its proximity to San Jose. Carara National Park is also where many cruise ship's passengers are bused for a day trip when the liners dock just up the coast at Puerto Caldera. Also is a common destination for school field trips. Carara is a favorite destination with bird watchers for several reasons besides its ease of access. First, it is positioned in a transition zone, which means that residents of both habitats are likely to appear. Second, the Rio Grande de Tarcoles has free flowing sections and its waters seep into seasonal marshlands and a shallow oxbow lake covered with hyacinths, which further expands the number of local habitats. Finally, because it is slightly dryer, and not all of the trees are evergreen, Carara is more open than the rainforests further south making wildlife spotting easier. About 150 scarlet macaws nest and feed throughout the reserve and can usually be seen around dusk flying west down the Rio Tarcoles towards the coastal mangroves where they roost for the night. This natural habit called La Barca is an incredible viewing place for the world recognized American Crocodiles. The company owns a dock with private parking facilities. The establishments is equipped with welcoming gardens, 15 restrooms, potable water, electricity, telephone and is handicap accessible. The company has seven boats with a total capacity of 300 people per tour. These boats were designed specifically for the conditions of the river. On our butterfly farm you can see more than 20 different species of multi-colored iridescent butterflies. Some have camouflage that makes them almost invisible, such as the Owl butterfly, Blue Morpho butterfly, Tiger and Zebra butterflies among many others hovering over your heads. Not only will you see these butterflies, but you will also be able to observe their full cycle of life. You will see many larva stages and cocoons from most of our species.

We will take a gorgeous 4 4 drive up the mountain over Your guide will stop along the way to point out interesting flora and fauna. You will be able to view and experience over ten waterfalls that flow from one beautiful pool into the next.
