You Must Bring: RIO Health Form, RIO Liability Release, and WMAT Release Water bottle filled with water Short or long sleeve top (synthetic, fleece or quick-dry fabrics for under wet suit) Bathing suit and/or nylon shorts or pants Sunscreen Lip ointment Outdoor sandals with ankle strap OR non-slip sneakers or booties Neoprene or wool socks (for cool days) Sun glasses with strap Hat with brim and strap Camera waterproof Change of clothes for drive home Prescribed medication Note: Alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed on the river. For safety and liability reasons, intoicated passengers will not be allowed to participate in the river trip. White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation The Upper Salt River is on the Apache reservation. Please respect their land and people while visiting.

2 Canyon Rio Rafting Upper Salt River General Information & Driving Directions From Phoeni: Take US Highway 60 East to Globe. On the eastern side of Globe pay attention to the large green sign just before the traffic light at the second Taco Bell. Hwy 60 East turns left/north towards Showlow. Hwy 60 East and Hwy 77 North become the same highway. Drive 40 miles north (45 minutes) until you cross over the Salt River Canyon Bridge. Just on the northwest side of the bridge take the first left onto a gravel road called Apache 1 (there are signs for Canyon Rio Rafting). Drive down the gravel road 300 yards to the parking lot on the right. Driving time: 2-3 hours depending on where in Phoeni you live. From Tucson: Take Highway 77 North to Globe. In Globe Hwy 77 joins US Highway 60 East and heads north towards Showlow. Drive 40 miles until you reach the bottom of the Salt River Canyon and cross over the Salt River Canyon Bridge. Just after you cross the bridge, take the first left onto a gravel road (there are signs for Canyon Rio Rafting) drive down the gravel road to the first parking lot on the right. Driving time: 2.5 hours From Flagstaff: Drive I-40 East to Holbrook. Go south on Hwy 77 to Show Low. Take a right turn onto Hwy 60 West. Drive 48 miles to the bottom of the Salt River Canyon. Before you cross over the Salt River Canyon bridge, take a right onto a gravel road (there are signs for Canyon Rio Rafting) drive down the gravel road to the first parking lot on the right.) Driving time: 3.5 hours Payment and Cancellation Policies Payment: Full payment is required upon registration Cancellations: With 8+ days notice, 75% of trip cost will be refunded With 3-7 days notice, 25% of trip cost will be refunded, may reschedule for this season 3 days notice or less, NO REFUND will be offered $25 fee to reschedule, per group All payment will be refunded or client may reschedule if we are forced to cancel a trip due to weather, water levels, or low enrollment.

4 CANYON RIO RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK- - PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in Canyon Rio Rafting/Canyon R.E.O./Grand Canyon Outdoor Center, Inc./Desert Whitewater LLC (hereafter known as Company) operations, use of equipment, or its related events and activities, I, the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that: The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular skills, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does eist; and, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF Company or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and, I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation.
