3 Welcome to Levante Having opened to great acclaim in 2012, Levante Beach Resort is a fabulous place to stay, with a wealth of activities and excellent childcare facilities. This year we re excited to be introducing road cycling to our sports program the surrounding hills offer fantastic riding and spectacular views. Your in-room guide has details of many of our facilities and services. The hub of the hotel is reception, with its knowledgeable local staff offering services including laundry, letter-posting and ordering taxis. Main opening hours are 7am 11pm but it s manned 24 hours, or call 9000 from your room or any internal phone. Opposite the reception desk are our noticeboards with information and activity times. Having been a manager with Mark Warner for more than 20 years and lived and worked in Greece for longer, I hope my knowledge and experience can add to your holiday. 4 Game, set and match Levante Beach has a purpose-built tennis centre with six floodlit synthetic grass courts, an adjacent bar and professional coaches on hand to assist with your game. Group coaching is run over the week, with groups split by ability. There is also one-to-one tuition for adults and children aged 4 and up. Levante is a specialist tennis centre, offering an Academy Course alongside our standard coaching program, ideal for those keen to focus on improving. All ages and abilities are welcome to join in with social tennis every evening from Sunday to Thursday. There is also an end-of-week tournament in which all are welcome to compete. Pop along to our Festival of Tennis on Sunday or Thursday morning to learn more about what is on offer and chat to our coaches about your game. During hours of operation, guests can take out dinghies, kayaks, SUP boards and windsurf equipment. The sailing area is patrolled by a safety boat at all times. Our qualified instructors run free group lessons. Certified RYA courses and private lesssons are available at extra cost. For details, ask at the waterfront operations desk. We recommend that all guests attend the Waterfront Meeting on Sunday or Thursday morning, for a breakdown of what s on offer and a safety brief. Water-skiing and wakeboarding are available six days a week on a pay as you go basis. In peak season you re advised to book for the following day in the main bar from 7pm. 8 9

6 Get out and ride! The local area offers fantastic riding and stunning views. The bike centre in the main car park has adult mountain bikes for use 8am to 7pm seven days a week (timings subject to change later in the season). Helmets are provided and are mandatory. Twice-daily guided tours are pitched at three levels of rider (relaxed, intermediate and advanced). Guests can sign up at the bike centre. A weekly program can be viewed on the sports noticeboard to the right of the main reception. We re very excited to be introducing a road cycling program for The smooth, traffic-light roads in the hills around the hotel provide some tough climbing but reward riders with exhilarating descents. Bikes can be rented 8am 7pm at a small extra charge. Again, you can sign up for guided tours at the bike centre. 7 Feeling fit We offer a varied program of classes to suit all levels of fitness, run by qualified fitness instructors and generally taking place outdoors. For the energetic there s the likes of body conditioning, circuit training, beach boot camp, aqua aerobics and interval swim training, or for chilling out try the sunrise and sunset stretches. Morning run and walks take place throughout the week, while for team players there are daily games of waterpolo, beach volleyball and 5-a-side football, with the opportunity to take on the staff team if you feel you have what it takes! The weekly program of classes and activities is available from reception or the Mark Warner office, and on the sports noticeboard right of reception

9 Fun for the kids! Levante Beach Resort offers the famous Mark Warner welcome for children aged 4 months to 17 years, with a purpose-built, light, spacious and air-conditioned childcare centre, a large paddling pool, a family pool, a well-equipped outdoor playground and table tennis. Outdoor activities are a firm focus of the childcare provision, especially for older children. Watersports lessons using junior equipment are included in the childcare schedule for children aged six and up. In addition, children can have RYA or private sailing courses and tennis tuition at extra cost. Children aged six and over can learn to water-ski, or there s scuba diving for children aged eight and up and inflatable tows for all-round family fun. Where and when Childcare at Levante Beach runs from Sunday to Friday, with morning sessions taking place 9am to 12.30pm and afternoon sessions 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Younger children are dropped off at the childcare centre, while older children have meeting points that differ according to the activity on their schedule. Children 10 and over are free to dip in and out of their club as they wish. The Indy Club for ages years runs in the summer school holidays and October half term. In the evening, free activities include an evening listening service for children four months to five years old, with DVDs and a quiet sleeping area, entertainments and movies for those in the Junior club (6 9 years), and dinner and entertainment for those in the Kidz and Indy clubs (10 17 years). The early children s buffet dinner every evening from 5.15pm to 6.15pm in the Amalthia restaurant features plenty of healthy child-friendly dishes and fruit

10 Dining Out Amalthia Buffet Restaurant Daily Amalthia offers indoor and outdoor dining including Continental and cooked breakfasts, plus lunch for those on full board, with salads and hot dishes. If it s not open for lunch, those pre-booked on full board can dine from the lunch menus at the Snack bar or Annora restaurant. Dinner (half and full board) at Amalthia includes salads, vegetables, pasta, hot dishes and meats from an open grill. Annora Pan-Asian Restaurant Daily except Saturday This alfresco venue offers Asian and sushi cuisine. At lunchtime those staying half board pay as they order. For those on full board a discretionary discount of 20% is applied to the bill (except at lunch if Amalthia is closed, whereby dishes are included in your dining plan). At dinner (please book first) you can choose from an à la carte menu or a three-course set menu for 15. Children have their own menu including vegetable croquettes and katsu chicken nuggets. Snack Bar Daily This bar by the family pool offers daytime snacks and light lunches at an additional charge. For those on a full board basis, a discretionary discount of 20% is applied to your bill (except at lunch if Amalthia is closed, when dishes are included in your meal plan). Greek Taverna Evenings in July and August In high season the snack bar transforms every evening into an à la carte taverna, with the open kitchen producing local dishes including tsatziki, dolmades and meatballs. 11 Rhodes less travelled Dotted with picturesque villages, heavenly-scented pine and cypress forests and mile upon mile of golden sandy beaches, Rhodes is also an island steeped in history. It s just 20 kilometres from Levante Beach Resort to the island s UNESCO-listed capital Rhodes Town with its atmospheric Old Town. Kids will prefer Lindos to the south of Afandou for its donkey rides up to the acropolis and for pedaloing in the bay below. Faliraki, north of Afandou, has a big waterpark, funfair and go-kart track, or closer to home there s Kolymbia with lots of restaurants and cafés popular with locals. Organised excursions, bus timetables and car hire are available from reception

12 ...And relax The on-site spa next to the indoor pool below reception is superbly kitted out and provides everything you need for relaxation, rejuvenation and pampering. The wide choice of health and beauty treatments includes facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing and sports massages. Bookings can be made at the spa reception. There s also a Sauna, Jacuzzi and Steam room, plus a gym and the indoor pool for all ages
