2 Day 1 - Marrakech, Morocco Get your first taste of Morocco s delicate dance of old and new world in the 18-plus souks that fill the city streets and prepare to bend it like the Berbers. Just make sure you arrive in time for tonight s welcome meeting. Airport transfer Day 2 - Marrakech Kick start your day with a guided city tour and see the Saadian tombs and Bahia Palace before ending in Djemaa El-fna a town square that houses snake charmers, Barbary apes, singers, dancers, drummers and even a dentist. It's like Mardi Gras every day. Marrakech half-day city tour Day 3 - Marrakech to Tamnougalt via Ait Ben Haddou Prepare for some of the most epic scenery as we cross the Tizi n Tichka pass. Alpine-esque fields of grazing sheep clash with unforgiving rocky terrain, mud-brick houses and some of the most nerve-shredding hairpin bends plus a visit to World Heritage listed Ksar in Ait Ben Haddou. Tonight, sleep it off in a Kasbah. Overnight in a Kasbah Dinner Day 4 - Tamnougalt to Sahara Desert

3 Leaving snowcapped mountains to go boarding on a sand dune sounds impossible, but it s happening. Blast across sand flats, wind between desert dunes and rattle your bones over the dry Draa River to reach our camp on the edge of the Erg Chigaga dunes. Board till sand fills every orifice then feast on tagine around the fire. This is glamping, desert style. -Stay overnight in a Berber desert camp - - -Dinner Optional activities: -Camel ride Day 5 - Sahara to Tamalakoute Lake Iriki is the bane of desert survival, unless you re a Berber. Its mirages can fool you into thinking this is the coast and it s time for a cocktail. Shack up for the night in a small village as a local Berber family welcome you into their home. Overnight in Berber home Dinner Day 6 - Tamalakoute to Taroudant As far as road trips go, crossing the otherworldly volcanic landscape of the Jebel Siroua Mountains by 4x4 bats well above average. Expect endless twists through rock-strewn desert vistas, climbing to an elevation of 2500m with a window-slideshow of deep valleys, barley and saffron fields. Keep watch for blink-and-you ll-miss-it villages where the Ait Ouaouzguit Berbers herd donkeys and weave a rug like no other. Dinner Day 7 - Taroudant to Essaouira via Agadir In the Argan Forest there are goats that live in trees. How awesome is that?! Spend some time staring at them, then we re off to the beach!

4 Day 8 - Essaouira Hold onto your hat! This charming fishing town is a mecca for windsurfers thanks to its howling coastal wind. Wander the medina or hit the beach between market shopping. Pro tip: dine at the open-air fish stands for some essence of Essaouira tonight. Optional activities: Windsurfing Surfing Kayaking Day 9 - Essaouira to Marrakech Wash the last of that desert sand off before we head back to the Red City and take the chance to meander the medina in Marrakech. Our last night in Morocco sounds like a cheesy romance novel, but it s true. Day 10 - Marrakech Write your own ending by spending a few more days (or weeks) in this sensory overload of a land. We re outta here after breakfast. Accommodation On your trip you will stay primarily in quality, two- and three-star hotels on a twin-share basis. On some nights, you will stay in multi-share rooms. You will also get to experience a night in a Berber tent in the desert, rock the night in a kasbah, and overnight in a Berber family home! NOTE : the bathroom facilities in the desert are basic (hey, you're in the desert!) and if available, the showers are usually cold-water only - but it's all part of the amazing experience you will remember for ever! The 'More Inclusions' section on this document has a full breakdown of the accommodation used. Optional Activities On all trips we have arranged extra activities that we think will enhance your travel experience, but you have a choice as to whether or not you will participate. These are not included in the cost of your trip. They are usually organised on a group participation basis and should be taken into consideration when budgeting your spending money. None of the Optional Activities on your trip are operated by Topdeck, nor do they form part of your contract with Topdeck for your trip.

Sahara Desert - Morocco Camel ride MAD200 Meals Your included meals are detailed in the 'More Inclusions' section of this document. s are included every day on most trips (except on the first morning). A typical breakfast may consist of cereals with milk or yoghurt, bread, croissants, cold meats, cheese and a range of spreads, with fruit juice, tea or coffee to drink. It is rare to get a hot breakfast, though on some occasions there may be some hot food available as well. Included evening meals are in local restaurants or you place of accommodation and are either two or three courses. In most cases table water is provided with the meals, and if you wish to purchase additional drinks you can do so at your own expense. If you have any dietary requirements we will make every effort to cater to your specific needs as long as you advise your travel agent or Topdeck Trip Consultant when you book. But please be aware that although we will do everything in our power to arrange it, we cannot guarantee that every restaurant we use will be able to cater to all dietary needs. We also cannot cater for tastes or dislikes, as most of our included evening meals feature a set menu. 6 Passenger safety One of the best parts of travelling is experiencing the nightlife and entertainment each city has to offer. However, amidst the fun and excitement, it s important to be aware of your surroundings and personal safety as well. Before you hit the road with us, it s important to be aware of the following: When you re on a night out, remember to avoid walking alone, particularly through deserted areas like beaches and back streets. Always stick together, take a taxi where possible, and keep a note of your accommodation details so you can find your way back to your fellow Topdeckers if you become separated. In some countries, alcoholic measures can be considerably larger than what you may be used to. Try to keep track of what you re drinking, and if you see one of your trip mates looking a little worse for wear, take them back to your accommodation. Be cautious when accepting drinks from strangers and never leave your drink unattended. It s also important to be aware that what you might consider harmless flirting may be interpreted differently in some countries. Be yourself and have fun, but don t be naïve, and be mindful of the signals you are sending out so that you don t find yourself in an uncomfortable situation.
