1 8 DAY Portugal Surfari EEPSXX-8 This tour visits: Portugal Sample Portugal in the best way possible by surfing, yoga-ing and chilling. Then repeat. Make waves and hit the streets in buzzing Lisbon, then head to our surf camp home in Ericeira. Surf the day away or unwind with a yoga class for ultimate chills. You may not reach pro-surfer status by the end of the trip, but it sure is a great way to start. 2 Day 1 - Lisbon, Portugal Pocket a Portuguese tart and get to know your soon-to-be surfari mates. Get friendly with the capital city on foot and keep an eye out for all things Portuguese. Discover why Lisbon is basically the San Francisco of Europe - get excited, it's going to be an incredible eight days ahead. -Walking tour of Lisbon Day 2 - Lisbon to Lagos Bye for now Lisbon and onwards to Lagos. Beaches galore - but first we tackle the cobbled backstreets. Top tip: look out for a handful of allyou-can-eat sushi places hiding in the streets of Lagos. We love local cuisine, but all-you-can-eat? #winning -Lagos walking tour Day 3 - Lagos Beach and chill. Done. See how many of the 100+ beaches in the area you can tick off before sunset (epic views included). Day 4 - Lagos to Ericeria Check into Ericeira, home to the only surfing reserve in Europe. Set up at the surf camp before we launch into all things mind, body and soul over the next few days. Some say the name Ericeira refers to sea urchins. Others say hedgehog. It may be lost in translation but no doubt deserves some exploring. Day 5 - Ericeria First time surfer? No stress. Kick off the day with an included lesson to get acquainted with the lingo, and skills, and then off you go. Later, take savasana with an included yoga class before dinner. -Surf Lesson -Yoga lesson

3 -Lunch Day 6 - Ericeria Learn to surf 101 continued. A new day means new skills to be mastered in our second class before we take on the pro-circuit (or not?). Attempt to catch some waves or soak up the sun. -Surf lesson -Lunch Day 7 - Ericeria to Lisbon First up today we ll make a pit stop in historic Sintra, where you can swing by beautiful pastel-coloured buildings, exotic gardens and palaces that look like they re straight out of a fairytale. When your camera roll is full, it s back to Lisbon for a walking tour of the Belém district. Afterwards, steal a minute to yourself or grab company and wind down in the Lisbon Botanical Gardens a city oasis which is the result of a king wanting one of every type of plant in the world. Sprawl out, have a picnic and get in touch with nature (while also seeking some respite from all your exploring!). -Driving tour of Lisbon Day 8 - Lisbon Quick debrief over breakfast, brag about your new found surfer #skills then say goodbye. Here, we wrap up and start planning the next adventure. Accommodation Hostel Plus trips host our most eclectic types of accommodation. While modern hostels make up the majority of your overnighters you could also stay in hotels (free upgrade yeah!) or bungalows. The More Inclusions section details what type of accommodation will be used for overnight stops on your trip. The number of people to a room on Hostel Plus trips will vary. For hostels you will have multi-share rooms and usually share with between 3 and 5 others (although in some circumstances you will share with more than 5) while in hotels there will be twin or triple-shares (and the odd

4 quad-room). Bungalows can be up to 4 people to a room. Please note: When staying on a Hostel Plus trip, multi-share accommodation is single-sex. Meals Your included meals are detailed in the 'More Inclusions' section of this document. Breakfasts are included every day (except on the first morning). 5 One of the best parts of travelling is experiencing the nightlife and entertainment each city has to offer. However, amidst the fun and excitement, it s important to be aware of your surroundings and personal safety as well. Before you hit the road with us, it s important to be aware of the following: When you re on a night out, remember to avoid walking alone, particularly through deserted areas like beaches and back streets. Always stick together, take a taxi where possible, and keep a note of your accommodation details so you can find your way back to your fellow Topdeckers if you become separated. In some countries, alcoholic measures can be considerably larger than what you may be used to. Try to keep track of what you re drinking, and if you see one of your trip mates looking a little worse for wear, take them back to your accommodation. Be cautious when accepting drinks from strangers and never leave your drink unattended. It s also important to be aware that what you might consider harmless flirting may be interpreted differently in some countries. Be yourself and have fun, but don t be naïve, and be mindful of the signals you are sending out so that you don t find yourself in an uncomfortable situation.
