1 MT MARTHA LIFE SAVING CLUB BEACH NEWS September September 2012 President's Post by John Harvey Well, that time is just about upon us again and I'm excited that the weather is starting to change for the better. As you will all be aware Membership for existing members is now open. Do yourselves a favour and get onto it asap because if you don't get it done by September 30th you and your family will go to the back of the queue and will not be guaranteed a place in the nippers program if that is what you are seeking of the coming season. Registration should be a lot easier for all renewing members who noted and kept their login and passwords last year. A family of 5 takes about 10 mins to complete and that was with asking the life saving online program for new passwords because I had misplaced them. We have tried to not overload everyone with information texts and s so you don't get sick of the MMLSC before the season even starts.. Highway Collection Saturday 20 October Volunteers Needed MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS NOW OPEN All members have been ed renewal notification and notice of important membership information. If you have not received this please immediately contact Club Administrator by mmlsc@bigpond.net.au. As previously indicated membership renewals will close on 30th September 2012 and NO LATE RENEWALS WILL BE ACCEPTED - NO EXCEPTIONS. From 1st October memberships will be offered to new members from the wait list. All memberships for club programs will close on Friday 19th October 2012 to enable planning for the current season to take place.
2 MT MARTHA LIFE SAVING CLUB BEACH NEWS September President's Post continued The responsibility is on all members to complete the online registration there is a large wait list still from last year, to avoid going to the back of the line get it done so your kids don't miss the opportunity to be involved in our great Nipper program We are still looking for a parent who wants to help out with the Nippers as the Director of Junior Activities. The role has been stream lined again for the coming season to help reduce the load on the person who decides that they have what it takes. The Nipper program is set up and run by all members of the Junior Sub Committee so it's not like the DJA has to set up the whole program from scratch we are in it to help and develop a great program for all the Nippers. Jane Cole did an amazing job and would be more than willing to chat to any prospective applicants, also there is a job description available on request, remembering that the program will not run to its best, without the DJA.., SUNDAY BREAKFAST Early morning breakfast at the Club starting on Sunday October 7th 8.45am and continuing on the first Sunday of the month.
