Every day, kids in our neighborhood are learning lifesaving swimming skills thanks to the Y s highly trained, caring instructors who guide students with praise and encouragement. Children work on basic movements with the help of a parent. Parent and child swim lessons focus on water adjustment, safety skills and the fundamentals of swimming. Children are introduced to rotary breathing and overarm recovery and review previous skills. They build endurance by swimming on their front and back, and learn to tread water and perform more progressive diving skills. Thu 1:00-1:45 pm Boy Scouts Aquanaut Program Join us with your troop to complete your Aquanaut badge or your Cub Scout swimming belt loop or pin. Session lengths depend on the number of swimmers and skills. F/Y: $5 N: $10 per scout Private & Semi Private Swim Lessons (30-minutes) Lessons are 6 weeks and begin after the first week of the current session. Fill out a request form at the Welcome Center to get started! Make ups will only be offered if time and space allows. A follow up to The Pink Program, this is a twice a week program offered to those recovering from breast cancer or currently going through cancer treatments.
