Warrentn VA., (540) FACILITY: Eight Lane 25 yard indr pl, 4.5 (lane 1) t 11.8 feet in depth (lane 8); Nn-Turbulent Lane Markers; Clrad Autmatic & Semi-Autmatic Timing System. Tw additinal 25 yard lanes will be available fr cntinuus warm-up and cl dwn. DISABILITY SWIMMERS: N n deck USA Swimming athlete registratin will be permitted. 11 & 12 year ld swimmers must have a BB+ time in the 200 IM r a B+ time in the 400 IM t cmpete in the IM (CT nt accepted) 10 & under swimmers must have a BB+ time in the 100 Breaststrke t cmpete in the 200 Breaststrke (CT nt accepted) 10 & under swimmers must have a BB+ time in the 200 Freestyle r a B+ time in the 500 Freestyle t cmpete in the 500 freestyle (CT nt accepted) 10 & under swimmers must have a BB+ time in the 100 Backstrke t cmpete in the 200 Backstrke (CT nt accepted) NAG Mtivatinal time standards are in effect. Age n December 1, 2017 will determine age fr the entire meet. Athletes with a disability are welcmed and shall prvide advance ntice f desired accmmdatins t the Meet Directr. The athlete (r the athlete's cach) is als respnsible fr ntifying the sessin referee f any disability prir t the cmpetitin. FORMAT: All 13 & lder swimmers will swim a preliminary sessin in the mrning sessin. The tp 16 swimmers in the age grup & the tp 16 swimmers in the 15&O age grup will swim the final sessin each day. Friday distance will be swum as timed finals. All 12 & yunger swimmers will swim timed finals in the afternn sessin. All relay events fr 13 & lder swimmers will be timed finals & will be cnducted during preliminary sessin. All Friday sessins will be swum as timed finals. WARM-UPS: Friday afternn sessin: Warm-up at 12:00 pm; cmpetitin starts at 1:00 pm Friday evening sessin: Warm-up nt befre 4:00 pm; cmpetitin starts nt befre 5:00 pm. Mrning sessins: Warm-ups nt befre 6:30 am; cmpetitin starts at 8:00 am. Afternn sessins: Warm-ups nt befre 12:00 pm; cmpetitin starts nt befre 1:00 Finals sessins: Warm-ups nt befre 4:00 pm; cmpetitin starts nt befre 5:00 pm. 35 minutes will be general warm-up, fllwed by 15 minutes f specific warm-up. 2 and cntinued general warm-up will be prvided with warm-up assignments Lane assignment and warm-up times fr individual clubs will be psted n the VSTP website n later than Tuesday, Nvember 28th, 2017 and will als be ed t the cntact persn f the participating clubs. The distance sessin will start n earlier than the estimated times. If the mrning sessin runs late, afternn warm-ups will begin immediately after the mrning sessin ends. ENTRIES: DEADLINE FOR THE RECEIPT OF ENTRIES IS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2017 Entries must be submitted in shrt curse yard times using Hy-Tek Team Manager and Cmmlink-2 sftware, r n a VSI master entry sheet. Teams submit entries via . A Team Manager printut f entries must be included r the meet checklist/summary sheet with the name, phne number, and address f the persn t cntact in case f questins must accmpany the entries, regardless f hw they are submitted. Cach Times (CT) will be accepted fr events in which a swimmer des nt have a time f recrd (except fr IM and 10 and under 200 Butterfly, backstrke and breaststrke). CT must be slwer than an A time. All entry times ther than CT must have been achieved in USA Swimming sanctined, apprved, r bserved cmpetitin. N Time (NT) entries will nt be accepted. 12 & yunger swimmers may enter a maximum f 4 individual events and 1 relay event per day & a ttal f 10 individual events fr the meet. 13 & lder swimmers may enter a maximum f 3 individual events and 1 relay event per day & a ttal f 9 events fr the meet. Relay teams must be designated A, B, C, etc., if mre than ne per club is entered per event. Entries will be prcessed in the rder received and accepted t the greatest extent pssible withut exceeding the 4-hur/sessin timeline limit. The Meet Directr reserves the right t limit entries in any events, if necessary, t prevent t lengthy a sessin. This may include cmbining heats and events, which actins may require reseeding. Relays may als be eliminated if necessary and relay fees will be refunded shuld this happen. entries t: infvstp@gmail.cm Late entries will be accepted until Nvember 30, Late entries will be accepted if time and swimmer limits have nt been exceeded. If received prir t the printing f the heat sheet, the swimmer will be seeded int the event; if after they will be entered in the slwest heat in an empty lane. FEES: Individual events: $7.00 Relay events: $16.00 Swimmer surcharge: $2.50 per persn (entered in the meet in any capacity) Checks shuld be made payable t: VSTP. Failure t pay entry fees by this deadline culd result in teams being barred frm the meet. AWARDS: Individual events: Ribbns will be awarded fr first thrugh eighth place. 13 & Over individual events will be given separate awards fr and 15 & Over age grups. 12 & Under individual events will be given separate awards fr 11-12, 9-10, and 8 & Under age grups. 10 & Under individual events will be given separate awards fr 9-10 and 8 & Under age grups. 3 PENALTIES: Life Guard rm. #1-2 (13&O 400 IM), 3-4 (13&O 500 Free), 5-6 (13&O 1000 Free), 7-8 ( IM), and (12&U 500 Free) will require a psitive check-in t swim. Psitive check-in will clse 12:30 pm Friday fr event #1-2 (13&O 400 IM), 3-4 (13&O 500 Free), and 5-6 (13&O 1000 Free). Psitive check-in will clse 4:30 pm Friday fr event #7-8 ( IM), and (12&U 500 Free). SWIMMERS FAILING TO POSITIVELY CHECK-IN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SWIM THE EVENT. Penalties fr entries using fraudulent and/r nn-verifiable entry times: Swimmer shall be marked as exhibitin fr the event entered illegally and the event shall be re-scred and awarded. Club may be fined $100 fr each ffense, and a recrd f such ffenses shall be kept and published as part f the fficial meet results. Clubs entering swimmers nt legally registered with USA Swimming befre the first day f the meet may be fined $100 per swimmer in each event s entered. If the swimmer is representing a club in cmpetitin, the fine will be levied n the Club. If the swimmer is unattached, the fine will be levied n the swimmer. RULES: The current USA Swimming Rules and Regulatins will apply. OFFICIALS: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USAS member cach as being prficient in perfrming a racing start r must start each race frm within the water. When unaccmpanied by a member cach, it is the respnsibility f the swimmer r the swimmer s legal guardian t ensure cmpliance with this requirement. Operatin f a drne, r any ther flying apparatus, is prhibited ver the venue (pls, athlete/cach areas, spectatr areas and pen ceiling lcker rms) any time athletes, caches, fficials and/r spectatrs are present withut written USA Swimming apprval The verhead start prcedure will be used fr the afternn sessins, and may be used fr the mrning sessins at the discretin f the Referee. The scratch prcedures listed in the current USA Swimming Rules and Regulatins, Article , sectins D and E nly will be in effect and mdified as fllws: The scratch rule regarding finals will apply t bth heats (final and cnslatin), f all 13 & Over events, excluding the 500 Free, 1000 Free, 400 IM, and all 13&O Relays (timed final events). Use f audi r visual recrding devices, including cell phnes, is nt permitted in changing areas, rest rms r lcker rms. In additin, phtgraphy behind the blcks is nt permitted. Except where venue facilities require therwise, changing int r ut f swimsuits ther than in lcker rms r ther designated areas is nt apprpriate and is prhibited. In accrdance with VSI Best Practices, swimmers shuld shwer befre entering the pl. In accrdance with VSI Plicy, nly thse caches wh have current, valid USA Swimming credentials will be permitted t act in a caching capacity at this meet. Caches with valid USA Swimming credentials but are unable t prvide them upn request will be issued temprary credentials by the meet directr Caches with expired r nn-current credentials will be required t leave the deck area. Dress fr Officials will be navy and white fr preliminaries and all timed finals, and blues/navy slacks r skirt fr evening finals. There will be a caches meeting in the hspitality area, prir t the start f each sessin, n cmpletin f warm ups. 3

4 SAFETY: Virginia Swimming Meet Safety Prcedures will be in effect. TIMERS: Clubs will be required t prvide timers in prprtin t the number f swimmers they have entered in each sessin. The number f timers required per club and their lane assignments will be ed t the cntact persn f each f the individual clubs. GENERAL: Heat sheets will be sld fr $8 with finals heat sheets at n cst with cupn. Final heat sheets will be $3 withut cupn. A Hspitality Suite will be available (refreshments, lunch & dinner) fr USS fficials & caches. Cncessins snack bar and Metr Swim Shp will be available. FACILITY RULES: Each club is respnsible fr supervising the cnduct f their swimmers DIRECTIONS: HOTELS: Swimmers are nt permitted in any rm f the building nt directly assciated with this swim meet. Only caches, swimmers, and fficials are allwed n the cmpetitin deck. All thers are required t be in the elevated spectatr bleachers r in the gym. N cars are t be left in fire lanes. Abslutely n shaving is t take place in the facility. Parking in designated areas nly, verflw parking available at nearby high schl Spectatrs will be permitted t bring chairs fr designated camping areas but n cts allwed. All persnal prperty must be remved frm the camping areas by the cnclusin f the final sessin fr each day. N large electrnic devices are permitted.
