Swimmers with USA Swimming Junior National Qualifying times will have priority if the cap is exceeded. Hosts: Academy Bullets Swim Club and Pleasant Prairie Patriots Location: Village of Pleasant Prairie RecPlex Aqua Arena; 9900 Terwall Terrace, Pleasant Prairie, WI Facility: Eligibility: Format: Seeding: Indoor, 50 meter pool with 10 lanes. 7 at the shallow end and 12 6 at the deep end. Starting blocks are Warm-up and cool down lanes will be available. The Competition Course has been certified in accordance with C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. This meet is open to all swimmers who are currently registered members of USA Swimming, and who have achieved the published time standard. The qualifying period is 24 months prior to the entry deadline. This meet will be conducted in LCM. All individual events except the 800 Free / 1500 Free will be conducted on a preliminaries and finals basis. Ten swimmers will qualify for an A, B, C, and D heat in the finals. Events shall be seeded in order of LCM, equivalent SCY, non-conforming LCM, non-conforming SCY. Meet Schedule: Prelims (Friday thru Sunday) Finals (Friday thru Sunday) 800 Free / 1500 Free Warm-ups: 7:00am Warm-ups: 4:30pm Warm-ups: end of prelims Meet Start: 9:00am Meet Start: 6:00pm Meet Start: TBA The pool will be available for visiting clubs from 12pm-8pm on Thursday, May 26 th. Technical Meeting: Distance Events: Distance Event Check-in Rules: A technical meeting will be held at the pool at 5:30pm on Thursday. Details and information on discussed at this meeting will be ed to all coaches and posted on the host web site. Coaches are responsible for all information presented and/or included in this posted information. The 800 Free / 1500 Free will be swum as a timed finals event. The events will be swum fastest to slowest, alternating women s and men s heats at the conclusion of the Preliminary session on Sunday. The fastest Heat of the 800 & 1500 will be swum during finals on Sunday Night. There will be a 30 minute warm up at the conclusion of prelims, prior to the first heat. There will be positive check in for the 800 Free and 1500 Free. Check in will close 30 minutes after the start of finals on Saturday. Swimmers who do not check in will be scratched from the event. Unless otherwise noted herein, this meet shall be conducted in accordance with current USA Swimming Rules and Regulations. A Meet Committee consisting of at least one official, one coach, and one athlete will be appointed by the Meet Referee to review conflicts arising from administrative matters Speedo Premier Spring Open Page 1

2 Warm-up: Scoring: Awards: Entries: Feet-first entries only, except in designated lanes and times. Violations may result in disqualification from next individual event or expulsion from the meet. More detailed warm up procedures will be distributed at registration and during the Technical Meeting. There will be no team scoring for this event. 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd place medals will be awarded for each event. All entries will be submitted thru OME and the USA Swimming web site. Any swimmer with one (1) or more qualifying standard may enter up to three (3) bonus events. Each swimmer may participate in a maximum of seven (7) individual events, with no more than three (3) individual events per day including time trials. At the Meet Referee s discretion, distance events may be limited to the six fastest heats of men and women. Limited events will have their entry fees refunded Entries will open on Tuesday, April 4 th, 2017 at 10:00am (CST) via OME. The entry deadline is 11:59pm on May 12 th, 2017 or as soon as the entry cap is reached. Entry Fees: Relays: Swimmers with Disabilities: Coach Credentials: Individual Events: $12.00 per entry Relay Events: $25.00 per entry Facility Surcharge: $5.00 per swimmer Coach Credentials: $15.00 per coach Each team may enter a maximum of two (2) relay teams per event. All relay events will be conducted as timed final events with the fastest seeded heat swum in the evening session. All remaining heats will swim at the conclusion of that day s preliminary session: the second fastest seeded women s heat will swim first and the second fastest seeded men s heat will swim second. The third fastest seeded women s heat will swim third; the third fastest seeded men s heat will swim fourth, continuing in this fashion until all heats are swum. Coaches entering swimmers with disabilities that require any accommodations are required to provide advance notice in writing to the meet director by the entry deadline accompanying their meet entry file, including the need for any personal assistants required and/or registered service animals. Failure to provide advance notice may limit the host s ability to accommodate all requests. Credentials for coaches shall be issued to those persons listed on the submitted team entry through OME, according to the following formula, whether comprised of one or both sexes. Athletes entered in the meet will receive a deck pass as part of their entry fee. Only USA Swimming Coach members will be issued a deck pass. Coaches will be required to show their USA Swimming Membership card to receive their deck passes. 1-3 swimmers in individual events: 1 deck pass 4-6 swimmers in individual events; 2 deck passes 7-9 swimmers in individual events; 3 deck passes swimmers in individual events; 4 deck passes swimmers in individual events; 5 deck passes swimmers in individual events; 6 deck passes swimmers in individual events; 7 deck passes 51 or more swimmers in individual events; 9 deck passes Unattached swimmers with a team shall be included in above schedule even if listed on separate entry blank. Positive check-in is due prior to the scratch deadline in order to be seeded. Scratches for day 1 events are due to the Administrative Referee 15 minutes after the conclusion of the technical meeting or by to the meet director at kevinmilak@gmail.com. All subsequent day s events scratches are due 30 minutes after the start of the previous evening s finals. There is no penalty for failing to compete in a preliminary or timed final heat, except an individual event in which a swimmer has not scratched prior to the appropriate deadline will be counted toward that swimmer s seven-event limit. A swimmer qualifying for an A, B, or C Final who fails to compete shall be barred from the remainder of the meet, unless excused by the Meet Referee. Time Trials may be conducted at the discretion of the Meet Referee. Entry fees for time trials will be the same as the meet entry fees. Time trials count toward a swimmer s individual event total for each day, but not the meet total. Athletes may need to provide their own lane timer and lap counter for time trial events. Marshals will be in place during warm-up periods and USA Swimming safety rules will be in effect. A warmup schedule will be posted in the venue. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or of the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance USA Swimming safety procedures. Food and beverages will be available at concession areas during the meet. Coaches and officials working the meet will be provided complimentary food and drink in the hospitality room. There will be a need for Officials at this event. Officials who would like to work the meet should contact the Meet Referee Jack Yetter at yetter96@gmail.com to be assigned positions. Report injuries to the Lifeguard and Meet Director. First aid kit is located near meet management table. An area for lost and found will be designated at the meet. 72 hours after the meet, all lost and found items will be donated to charity. A copy will be ed to every participating team. Results and result files will be posted on the host website upon the completion of the meet at: and All coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and will see that their club has proper supervision at all times. Meet Marshals have the authority to remove any swimmer and/or spectator from the meet for any violation such as improper behavior, damage to property, etc. No smoking on the premises. Please encourage your parents and swimmers to clean up after themselves. In accordance with the Federal Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 the use of camera phones or video recording devices in the locker rooms is prohibited. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including cell phones, is not permitted in the changing areas, restrooms, or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. All participants agree to be filmed and photographed by the official photographer(s) and network(s) of Illinois Swimming and the meet host under the conditions authored by Illinois and USA Swimming, and allow event organizers the right to use names, pictures, likenesses, and biographical information before, during or after the period of participation in this Illinois Swimming competition to promote such competitions Speedo Premier Spring Open Page 3

4 Liability: In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I/we hereby, for myself/ourselves, my/our/theirs, administrators and assignees, waive and release any and all claims against the Academy Bullets Swim Club, Pleasant Prairie Patriot Swim Team, the RecPlex, the Village of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin Swimming, USA Swimming, and their staffs for injuries and/or expenses incurred by me/us at this meet, or while on the road, to and from this meet. I/We are bona fide amateur athletes and eligible to compete in all events I/we have entered.
