Edwardsville, IL Facility Indoor, (1) 8-lane and (1) 6-lane competition 25 yard pools with non-turbulent lane markers, fully automatic timing system, one buffer lane and one continuous warm-down lane. Overhead seating for 499 spectators is available as well as generous on-deck areas for swimmers and coaches. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Aquatic Center. Only swimming coaches attached to a participating team, athletes, and meet workers will be allowed on deck during the meet. Spectators can view the meet from the spectator area above the pool. Please see the facilities rules section. The competition course has been certified in accordance with USA Swimming rule C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. The pool at the start end of the pool is 7ft. The pool depth at the turn of the pool is 12ft. Changing Policy Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in the locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited by Ozark Swimming and USA Swimming. Camera Policy Per USA Swimming guidelines, no person shall use a camera or any other device capable of recording still or video images (including cell phones) in the area behind the starting blocks, in the locker rooms, changing areas, showers or restrooms. Violators will be reported to law enforcement or other government authorities and/or may be barred from the facility during this sanctioned event. 2 Meet Format and Procedures Format: All events are Timed Finals. A swimmer may enter four individual events per day. Any swimmer who enters more than the maximum number will be scratched down to the limit, starting with the highest event number on the day the over entry occurs. We reserve the right to pre-seed the meet at our discretion, if timelines permit. We further reserve the right to limit or eliminate events due to the timeline constraints. Deck entries will be accepted if the meet is not filled on ONLY as NEW ADDITIONS; CHANGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Entry fee for deck entries are $8.00. Special Events: Friday evening we will be running the 5-4 and 5-2 Challenge (11-12) Any swimmers who enter both the 500 free and the IM will be entered into the 5-4 or 5-2 Challenge. We will add the times of both swims together. The boy and girl of each age group with the fastest composite time will be awarded a special rosette ribbon. Meet Safety: In accordance with the recommendations of USA swimming, the Ozark LSC, and Rules that govern YMCA swimming. Chuck Fruit Aquatic Center will operate this meet under the guidance of a Marshall. Scoring: Scoring will be to 16 places as follows: Individual events = 20, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Relay events = 40, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 AWARDS Individual events: Ribbons for 1 st through 8 th place. Rosette s will be presented to the winner of Friday night 5/4 and 5/2 Challenge. Relay events: Ribbons for 1 st through 4 th place. Overall Team Awards (combined Gender and Age Groups) Trophies will be presented to 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd place teams. General Conduct Seeding and Swimmer Check-in All events (except for those on Friday night which will be positive check in) will be pre-seeded. All relay events are timed final events and coaches must turn in relay cards by the announced deadlines. Swimmers must provide their own timer and lap- counter for the 1650 Freestyle. The 1650 s will be seeded fast to slow. Warm-up Procedures Warm-up procedures will be defined by the Ozark LSC and Rules that govern YMCA Swimming. A swimmer attending the meet without a coach must report to the meet referee prior to warming up. The referee or his designee shall instruct the swimmers in the safety rules and assign them to a lane. Lanes will be assigned. Entry Procedures Entry Limit Individual Events: Swimmers may enter a maximum of 10 individual events for the entire meet and can enter no more than 4 individual events per day. Any swimmer who enters more than the prescribed number of events will be scratched down to the event limit starting with the highest event number on that day the over-entry occurs. Entries will be limited to 350 swimmers per session.

3 Relay Events: Each team will be permitted to enter two (2) scoring relays for each relay event. Teams may enter exhibition relays. All exhibition relays are to be entered at NT. You may enter Relay Only swimmers in the meet to swim on the relays, even if they do not have individual events, but those swimmers names must be included with your team s entries and must pay the posted surcharge for entering the meet. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact Coach Bob at (618) Confirmation does not mean that your entry has been accepted. No phone or fax entries will be accepted. Entries requiring a signature or postage will not be accepted. Times must be submitted in the course the time was achieved. **Entries must be received by 9:00 am on Thursday, October 15 th, 2015** All entries must be ed to: Dave Baggette, Meet Entry Chair meetentries@edwyswim.org Timers All teams are expected to supply volunteer timers. Timing slots will be allocated based on the size of the team entry. Vendor B&B Aquatics will offer swimming gear. Fine Designs will offer meet shirts. Important Dates: October 15 Entries Due. October 16 Entries posted on website. October 17 Deadline for changes. Facility Rules: 1. Keep all trash picked up and do not block exit doors or aisles. 2. Swimmers, parents, and spectators are not permitted in any unauthorized areas. No Coolers are allowed on the pool deck or in spectator seating. We want to make sure all spectators have a place to sit. 3. No Smoking laws are in effect. No smoking or tobacco products are allowed on District 7 property. 4. Cell phones with video and video recording devices are prohibited in all locker rooms and restrooms. 5. No photography or cell phone operation will be permitted from behind the starting blocks.
