Sanction #MA 1416 A In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this event. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with C(4). Swimmers with a disability are welcome to enter this meet. The coach or team entry DISABLED SWIMMERS person must alert the meet director and the meet referee as to the need for any special accommodations or seeding arrangements at the time the entry is submitted. ENTRY LIMITATIONS Swimmer may enter a maximum of 4 individual events per day (May only swim 1 event Friday night) in his/her age category. The Meet Director reserves the right to limit entries, events or heats, or to modify the meet format to conform with Middle Atlantic rules. Swimmers/Teams eliminated from the meet due to time or space ORDER OF EVENTS WARM-UP & START TIMES constraints will be given a refund. Please see attached order of events. All events are pre-seeded timed finals except events 1 4 and events 25 & 26 where positive check in is required. Friday PM Session 1- Warm ups 5:00PM, Meet 5:45PM. Positive Check-in is required by 5:10 PM for 400 IM/ 5:30 PM for 1650 s Sat & Sun AM Sessions(13/Over) Warm up 7:30 AM/ Event start 8:30 AM Saturday 500 Free- Session 3- Warm up 12:00PM, Event start 12:30 PM Positive Check-in for 500 Free is required by 12:10PM Saturday PM Session (12/Un)- Warm up 2:00PM/ Event start 3:00 PM Sunday PM Session (12/Un) - Warm up 1:00PM/ Event start 2:00 PM

2 No diving during warm-ups, except limited diving in announced sprint lanes. When diving is permitted the swimmer must enter from the starting blocks and exit from the opposite end of the pool. All entries must be feet-first other than mentioned above. DECK ENTRIES Subject to space availability, and at the discretion of the Meet Director, deck entries will be accepted on the day of the meet, prior to the start of the meet at the cost of $8 per event. Swimmers not already entered in the meet must provide proof of USA Swimming registration. Deck-entered swimmers will compete unofficially; the achieved time is official, but will not score in the meet for points or awards. To enter, please see the MD before or during warm-ups. Unregistered swimmers may register on deck at this meet by turning in the athlete registration form and payment to the Meet Director. The cost of registering on deck is double the normal fee ($120 per swimmer for registration). This applies to all swimmers attached to a club. SWIMMERS WITHOUT A COACH HOW TO ENTER Swimmers unaccompanied by a credentialed coach should report to the Meet Director before warm-ups. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Entries must be submitted using Hy-Tek, or Team Unify software, and must be submitted in the course in which they were achieved. Supporting paperwork and recap sheet must accompany all entries. Non-electronic entries must be on enclosed entry forms. ENTRY FEES $4 per event. A $15 surcharge/swimmer is levied against those who do not use an electronic file for entry. Updated entry files for athletes already in the meet will be accepted up until the entry deadline. Please limit the number of update files you send. RULES/POLICIES Recording Devices: The use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms, or behind the starting area. Please do not use flash cameras at the start of any race. Credentials: Only credentialed coaches, swimmers, officials or meet personnel are allowed on deck. No exceptions. Deck Changing: Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits, other than in locker rooms or designated areas is inappropriate and is prohibited. Rules: This meet will be conducted according to current USA Swimming rules. Middle Atlantic Swimming rules shall also apply. USA SWIMMING/MA SWIMMING SAFETY GUIDELINES AND WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE MEET. Non-conforming times: will be accepted and will be seeded according to USA Swimming procedures B(1). Positive Check-in events: swimmers not swimming in an event for which they have been positively check in will be prohibited from swimming in their next individual event. This meet will be conducted using the Whistle command and No-Recall False Start procedures. 'Fly-over' starts will be used at this meet. All swimmers (except for Back-stroke starts) should remain in the water at the completion of their race until the next heat has begun. Penalties will be imposed upon any swimmer when any coach, parent or swimmer enters any time other than the swimmer s best time for any event. Penalties may include fines or suspension.

3 SEEDING SCORING & AWARDS All events are timed-finals. Other than Friday night s events and events 25 & 26 (which are the positive check-in events), all events are pre-seeded. Non-conforming times will be accepted and will be seeded according to USA Swimming procedures B(1). Awards are based on times achieved at this meet. Current short course yards time standards published by USA Swimming will be used to award times achieved at this meet. Admission: $3.00/spectator - children under 5 yrs. admitted free. Volunteer workers admitted free. Programs: $3.00/session (free psych sheets for Friday night s distance session). RESULTS Results will be posted on the Middle Atlantic website and on the EMAC website DIRECTIONS From North/South: N.E. Extension of PA turnpike to Lehigh Valley exit 56, Route 22 East to Route 309 South to Cedar Crest Blvd exit 55 - turn right on to Cedar Crest. From West: I-78 to Cedar Crest Blvd exit 55 turn right on to Cedar Crest. From East: I-78 to Cedar Crest Blvd exit 55 turn left on to Cedar Crest. Take Cedar Crest Blvd South for approx. 4 miles, high school football stadium will be on left, turn left onto North St. Use entrance located near the tennis courts, the words Sports Center are directly above these doors.
