NO ON DECK REGISTRATION SHALL BE PERMITTED. Swimmers must be within the listed age brackets as of August 5, 2016 Entry acceptance period begins: Friday, July 15th 12:00 Noon and ends Friday, July 22nd at 12:00 Noon. NO EARLY ENTRIES PLEASE * THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 1. Submit YARD TIMES only. 2. Submit entries on Hy-tek meet management software. 3. Please include printout of Hy-tek entries. 4. The meet entries are limited to the four-hour rule. $3.00 Oregon Swimming surcharge per swimmer. $7.00 Pool surcharge per swimmer. $2.00 Individual event fee. $8.00 Relay fee. (Note relay entry limit) NO REFUND FOR ENTRY FEES WILL BE MADE FOR SCRATCHED EVENTS. P.O. Saturday and Sunday swimmers may enter maximum of 3 Individual events per day and 1 Relay event per day. This is a single format meet For the 500/1650 yard freestyle each swimmer will be required to supply their own lane timers and lap counters. *Due to the 4-hour time limit, relay entries will be restricted to 2 team entries per day per age group.

2 Event Order: The 200/500/1650 Yard freestyle and 400 IM events will be swum fastest to slowest, and will be deck seeded. Positive check-in is required. All other events will be swum as outlined in the Meet Information/Meet Program. Warm up-times: Friday August 5th Warm-ups Officials meeting Coaches meeting Finals 5:00 p.m. 5:15 p.m. 5:45 p.m. 6:00 p.m. Saturday August 6 th & Sunday August 7th Warm-ups 9:00 a.m. Officials meeting 9:30 a.m. Coaches meeting 10:00 a.m. Finals 10:15 a.m. Bull Pen: Relays: Facility: Rules: Safety: A bullpen will be provided for all 8 & Under swimmers. All other swimmers shall report directly to their assigned lanes. No Bull Pen for Relays. All other teams/swimmers will report to their assigned lanes. All relay entries must be completed and turned into the meet director 40 minutes prior to the start of each session. You are not required to submit a relay entry form if the swimmer s names are already entered and there are NO changes in the relay order or athletes entered. Teams not pre-entered with relay athletes and order that do not check in by the announced deadline may not be seeded or allowed to compete. Relay entries will be restricted to 2 team entries per age group. Indoor 25-yard, 6 lane pool with non-turbulent lane lines. Starting blocks at the deep end of the pool (10 ft.) and the shallow end are (3 6 ). Colorado Timing System with strobe/horn start and scoreboard. Meet Manager will be utilized. Parking is available at the pool and the elementary school across the street. Facility is accessible to adaptive swimmers. Pool will open (1) one hour prior to warm-ups. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with C (4) Current USA Swimming and Oregon Swimming Inc., rules will govern this meet. Current Oregon Swimming Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect and strictly enforced. 1. Jumping into the pool is not allowed 2. Diving is allowed only in the designated lanes 3. Marshals assigned to supervise warm-up will have the authority to remove swimmers not following safety rules from warm-up or the meet. 4. Coaches are responsible for supervision of their swimmers during warmups and during the meet.

3 Restrictions: Awards: 5. Swimmers who participate without a USA swimming certified coach present must notify the meet referee in advance: a certified coach will be assigned. 6. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing racing starts or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. 7. Swimmers, coaches, and officials are the only persons who will be allowed on the pool deck during the meet. Swimmers, coaches and parents conduct must be consistent with the Oregon Athletic Code. 8. NST and the City of Newport are not responsible for accidents or losses occurring as a result of this meet. 9. Parents and all other spectators are asked to remain in the bleachers/and or on the side decking away from the starting block area. This insures safety for the swimmers, timers and officials TOBACCO PRODUCTS OF ANY KIND, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND GLASS CONTAINERS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON DECK, IN THE BLEACHERS OR IN THE LOCKER ROOMS. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. Photography is not allowed behind the blocks during starts and relay exchanges. The pool will be closed for warm-ups at that time. All certified officials please report to the Meet Referee upon arrival at the pool. There will be an officials meeting 45 minutes before the start of the meet. Each club is expected to designate the lane timers who will report to the head timer fifteen minutes before the start of the meet. Food will be served throughout the meet. Friday night will have a limited menu. Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be provided for the coaches, timers and deck officials. Breakfast & Lunch will be provided for deck officials and coaches. Heat Sheet: A three-day Session heat sheet will be on sale for $5.00.
