REFEREES, STARTER, CHIEF TIMEKEEPER Officials for today s Championships are drawn from parents, friends and staff of the sixteen Hunter Region Independent Schools to whom we are very grateful. Mr Norm Roberts from NSW Swimming Association for his expertise and professionalism in using the Electronic Timing and Touch Pads. Sincere thanks must also be passed on to Mrs Robyn Shepherd from Lakes Grammar An Anglican School. The task of recording results is a time-consuming job of which LGS & Mrs Shepherd have taken on enthusiastically. Thanks to the Principal from Macquarie College, Dr Bruce Youlden, for his support of the HRIS Secondary Swimming Championships through the presentation of medallions, pennants and trophies. The HRIS Swimming Championship results are available live through the use of the Meet Mobile app.
3 GENERAL INFORMATION 1. All competitors MUST wear swimming caps of a colour corresponding to their School. NO CAP = NO SWIM!! 2. Students must be swimming in racing swimmers, as no students will be permitted to swim in boardies or bikinis they will be disqualified. Males are limited to ONE suit that covers, at most, the area between hips to knees (may not extend above the waist or below the knees). Females are limited to ONE suit that is open back and open shoulder and may not extend below the knees. 3. Age will be determined as the age a competitor is as of 31/12/ A perpetual trophy will be awarded to the School with the highest aggregate, boys and girls combined, in each of Divisions 1 and 2. Pennants will be awarded to age group champion schools for each gender, in each of Divisions 1 and 2. Individual Age Champion medallions will be presented to each gender in each age group in both Division 1 and 2. Invitational Schools will not be eligible for points but will be considered for selection in the HRIS Representative Team. A Handicap Trophy will be awarded in Division If the programme runs ahead of time, it will stay ahead of time. Therefore, please watch the progress of events as well as the event time. 6. Students are to ensure they have protection against all weather conditions (hat, sunscreen, raincoats, etc.) Students should be encouraged to drink plenty of water and reapply sunscreen often. 7. Please be advised that Lambton Olympic Pool is a NON-SMOKING VENUE. 8. Students may swim in one age group only for the entire Championships. This age group will determine their division for Junior, Intermediate or Senior events. At the AICES level and beyond, students may only compete in their correct age group. a. Junior events years b.
