2 MCM Makos Short Course Meet B Grade Qualifying Meet Sunday 1 st March 2015 The Mountain Creek Mooloolaba Makos wish to extend an invitation to your club to compete in the Mountain Creek Mooloolaba Short Course Meet, to be held at the Mountain Creek Aquatic Centre, Lady Musgrave Drive, on Sunday 1st March Time: Nominations: Conditions: Saturday: 7.30am warm up. Competition starts 8.30am. $5.00 per event for electronic entries. $2.00 per event for dolphin entries. $7.50 per event for manual entries. All entries must be submitted through the Club s Race Secretary TM File or on the attached Nomination Form. Incomplete or Late Entries including entries on the day Will Not be accepted. If unable to pay via bank transfer: Hard copy of Fee Report & Cheque to be posted to MCM Swimming Club, PO Box 169, Mooloolaba, The race secretary will ensure that each swimmer is registered as a competitive swimmer with Swimming Qld and that their date of birth is correct and times entered are current. Closing Date: Sunday 15th February 2015 Age: Age as at 1st March 2015 Eligibility: Open to all swimmers registered as competitive with Swimming Qld. Entries from interstate swimmers will be accepted with appropriate clearance from their State bodies. Events & Rules: Wet Weather Policy: Events range from 7yrs & under to 15yrs & over. This is a B Grade Qualifying Meet. Junior Rule Tolerances will apply to all 7yrs & under events. All events will be swum as timed finals. All Swimming Queensland General Rules will apply. One Start Rule will apply. In the event of inclement weather, ie. lightening, etc, the meet director and chief referee may cancel the meet. In the event of cancellation, there will be no refunds. Timing: Dolphin Semi-Automatic Timing - Clubs are required to provide timekeepers on the day. Awards: Medals will not be awarded for the 7yrs & under events, however all 7yrs & under competitors will receive a participation award on the day. Medals will be awarded to the three fastest swimmers in the following age groups: 50m, 100m & 200m events: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & Over. Medals will be awarded to the three fastest swimmers in the following event: 50m Open. Age Champions will be presented to each age group from 8yrs to 15yrs & Over & Multi Class. Swimmers aged 8 to 10 must swim all four strokes plus 100m IM event. Swimmers 11 and over do not need to swim all four strokes. Using the 6, 3, 1 point system below, the swimmer with the highest points total at the end of the meet will be awarded Age Champion. Points are awarded as follows: 1st - 6 points, 2nd - 3 points, 3rd - 1 point. In the event of a tie, the swimmer s totals will be tallied and the swimmer with the overall fastest time will be considered the Age Champion. Multi Class Age Champions will be awarded to the swimmers with the highest points total using the above 6, 3, 1 point system and based on the SQ Multi-class scoring system. Dash for Cash and Fast Skins Events Do Not count towards the age champion points. *Please Note that swimmers must collect their medals/award by the end of the meet* Psych Sheets: Each club will be ed their imported entries for checking. Swimmers wishing to enter the Dash for Cash will put their name on a raffle ticket and ten names will be randomly drawn for each event. Cash for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Swimmers wishing to enter the Fast Skins will also put their name on a raffle ticket. Ten names will be randomly drawn for each event. Swimmers will race 25m Freestyle - last swimmer into the wall is eliminated. Swimmers then immediately line up again and race another 25m Freestyle - last swimmer is eliminated.
