8 Using FROG with Various Pump Types Getting the most from the FROG System is learning how to modify back pressure and fl ow rates for optimum performance and economic savings. Follow these 4 easy steps at pool set up: v Return EYEBALL Fitting u PSI HIGH OK LOW A larger eyeball will decrease psi while a smaller one will increase it x Dial adjusts chlorine output when pressure and pump run time are determined w RPM HIGH LOW Higher RPM will increase back pressure while lower will decrease it Replace the return eyeball fi tting with a smaller size if the pressure is under 4 psi or a larger size if over 8 psi. Step 1 2 Step Use our cap with a pressure gauge to measure the back pressure in the FROG System when the pump is at high speed or the maximum desired RPM. It should be 4-8 psi Step 3 Set pump run time to maintain back pressure for at least 6 hours per day. This could be less for smaller pools or more for larger pools to achieve the proper fi ltration turn over rate. Set the dial per the manual and monitor the chlorine levels for the fi rst week. Adjust the dial based on pool usage by no more than one setting per day until a 0.5 to 1.0 ppm chlorine level is maintained. 4 Step If consumer wishes to run their pump on the lowest speed 24 hours per day, they will need to bleed the air from the top or back of our system to pull water inside. 8
