1 2014 FHSAA CLASS 3A REGION 4 SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS MEET INFORMATION Meet: 2014 FHSAA Class 3A Region 4 Swimming & Diving Championships Diving Date: Friday, October 31, 2014 Diving (at University of Miami) 1:00 PM Location: Directions: University of Miami Whitten Student Union Pool 1300 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables, FL US-1 to Stanford Drive. Head North onto Stanford Drive and continue under Metrorail. Enter campus and continue straight until the end. Parking available on the street at the meter parking or in the Pavia Parking Garage. The pool is located inside the Whitten Student Union Building, adjacent to Lake Osceola. Swimming Date: Saturday, November 1, 2014 Swimming: Timed Finals 3:00 PM Host: Location: Ransom Everglades Aquatic Center, (Upper Campus) Phone #:, 3575 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, FL Directions: Facility: Eligibility: Entry Limit: US-1 to 32 nd Avenue. Go East on 32 nd until Grand Avenue. Make a left on Grand until the 1 st right; continue to the end of the street. Turn right onto Main Highway and continue about ¼ mile. School is located on the left hand side. Outdoor stretch 50 meter Olympic sized pool with two bulkheads. 8-lane 25 yard FINA regulated course with be used for competition. Additional 13 warm up/down lanes. Depth at start end-7 feet. OMEGA track start championship blocks and OMEGA Time System will be used with 8-lane discrete digit and full color video viviled scoreboard. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software will be used for scoring. Full locker rooms will be available for competing athletes, bathrooms available for spectators and coaches. Open to all members of the FHSAA Class 3A Region 4 in good standing. Maximum of 2 individual events and 2 relays per swimmer or 1 individual event and 3 relays. Each school is permitted an A relay ONLY.

Individual Events: 20, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Relay Events: 40, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 Awards: Team Awards: Championship & Runner-up Trophies Individual Awards: Ribbons for 1 st 8 th Relay Awards: Ribbons for 1 st 8 th Rules: Breaks: Current NFHS and FHSAA rules will govern this meet. Safety rules as outlined by the NFHS and as recommended by the referee will be in effect during all warm-up periods and in all warm-up areas. As set by the Swimming and Diving Advisory Committee, there will be the normal 15 minute break after the 50 Freestyle and an additional 10 minute break after the 200 Free Relay and 5 minute break before the 400 Freestyle Relay. Concession stand will be open for all sessions. Refreshments and hospitality for coaches, officials, and volunteers will be available during the entire meet. All Divers must register and set up their dive list at Please see attached flyer for instructions. Teams may sit in the West side (Scoreboard) of the Grandstand or on the bleachers on the deck. The Center Grandstand and East course grandstand is for spectators only. All coaches and athletes must enter the facility using the Spiral Staircase on the South side of the facility adjacent to the Tennis Court. Spectators only will be allowed to enter the facility using the Noboa Entrance on the West Side. Admission: $7.00 Heat Sheet: $3.00
