Pavilion Center Dr. Las Vegas, NV Course: 1-8 Lane Competition Course with 6-25 yard continuous warm up. Colorado timing system and 1 scoreboard. The competition course has been certified in accordance with Article 103.2, is 6 feet, 6 inches at the start end and 12 feet at the turn end for the competition pool. Warm Up Procedures: All lanes will be open for USA Swimming Member Coach supervised warm-up between 6:45-8:15am. Diving will be allowed in designated dive lanes only under the supervision of the coaches and marshals. Dive lanes will be assigned. The pool will close 15 minutes before the start of each session. Meet host reserves the right to declare assigned meet warmups based on meet size with prior 48hr notification to all coaches Meet Referee: The meet referee shall be in charge of the meet. Any questions regarding the conduct of the meet should be made directly to that person. Rules: USA Swimming rules will govern. Current SCS meet procedures will be enforced and take precedence over any errors or omissions on this form. SWIMMERS MUST CHECK IN with the clerk of course 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF EACH SESSION FOR THE FIRST 4 EVENTS OF THAT SESSION. After the event has been officially closed, SWIMMERS MAY NOT CHECK IN OR SCRATCH. Swimmers must swim in their actual Age Group as determined by their age on the first day of the meet. Preliminary events will be swum fastest to slowest. Swimmers may compete in a maximum of 3 individual events per day and 2 relay events per day. Swimmers may swim a max of 7 individual events for entire meet. Finals: The National Finals scratch rule will be used. A swimmer must scratch or place an intent on an event within 30 minutes of announcement of preliminary results. Final: SCRATCH ONLY. Final no show (original top places only) except last day will be removed from the remainder of the meet. A $50.00 fine will be assessed to the swimmer for a no show in her/his last event of the meet. Recording Devices & Media Notice: The use of audio-visual recording devices, including cell phones, is not permitted in locker rooms, changing areas or restrooms. Recording devices are not permitted behind the starting blocks during the starting sequence throughout the meet. This meet may be covered by the media, including photographs, video, web casting and other forms of obtaining images of athletes participating in the meet. Entry into the meet is acknowledgment and consent to this fact. DRONES: Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. Swim suits: Swimwear must conform to USA Swimming Rule Only swimsuits complying with FINA swimsuit specifications may be worn in any USA Swimming sanctioned or approved competition. Tech suits are permitted if entered into Senior Events. No tech suites are permitted in age group events. 2 DECK CHANGES: Deck Changes are prohibited Racing Start Certification: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Eligibility: Open to the following teams and athletes of these teams that are 2017 or 2018 USA Swimming Registered. Aspen Swim Club (ASP-CO), Jeffco Hurricanes (JH-CO), Santa Maria Swim Club (SMSC-CA), Sandpipers of Nevada (SAND-CA), Santa Clara Swim Club (SCSC-PC), Pitchfork Aquatics (FORK-AZ); Neptune Swimming (SRN-PC), Sierra Marlins Swim Team (SMST-CA), Woodmoor Waves (WOOD-CO), Loveland Swim Club (LOVE-CO), Pueblo County Swim Team (PCST- CO) All athletes must be registered with their LSC by the entry deadline, 5pm on November 22, Late application will be considered on-deck subject to penalties in the SCS Swim Guide, Part One, III. Registration application may be submitted with entry form. In SCS age group meets, swimmers 18 & Younger must prove birth dates prior to competition. Change of Affiliation: Before the meet, a swimmer may change affiliation by submitting a Club Transfer form to the Swim Office. At the meet, a swimmer may UNATTACH (may not attach or reattach) by notifying the Administrative Referee in writing and paying the appropriate fee. Individual and Team Awards: Awards for 1 st 3 rd place finishers in each age designated final and relays. 1 st 8 th place awards in the Super Final heat. Team Award 1 st 3 rd place. Entry Fees: $7.50 for each individual event along with a $20.00 surcharge per swimmer must accompany each individual entry card. Relays shall be entered on deck at a cost of $20.00 per relay. NO REFUNDS. Returned checks may incur a service fee. E- mail entry (entry. zip file) will be accepted ONLY when received with an attached.pdf file including electronic signature of coach and will be dated as official at that time. (5:00pm postmark would queue before a 10:00pm electronic). Full payment (single team check) for an entry must be postmarked within 48 hours of the entry. Failure to comply will be referred to the Board of Review. Entry updates (added events) will be processed when received by the processor by the entry deadline. Added events (entered swimmers) may be submitted by hard copy (this includes ) ONLY. New swimmers accepted based on AVAILABLE SPACE. DO NOT RESEND AN ENTRY FILE. A replacement file for the team will not be processed. Deletions will not be refunded. The events will proceed alternating girls and boys, fastest to slowest. All other Prelim events will be completed fastest to slowest Finals: The National Finals scratch rule will be used. Meet Format: Events (5,6,7,8) 1000 Freestyles will swim together and are Timed Finals, fastest to slowest, alternating girls and boys. The 12 and Under 50s of stroke events will have a single Final (A). 400IM, Open 500 Freestyle events will only have Senior A and B Finals, Age Group A Finals. Depending on number of entries, we reserve the potential addition of a Final for Age Group or Senior Events, as needed. 200 s of Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly events will also have Senior A and B Finals, Age Group A and B Finals, depending on number of entries we reserve the potential addition of a Final for Age Group or Senior Events, as needed. The Age Group A Super Final will be limited to the top 18-under athletes not in the Senior Event. The age group B final will be limited to the top 14-under athletes that do not qualify for A age group event final. The age group C final will be limited to the top 12-under athletes that do not qualify for A or B age group event final. The Senior event finals will be A B and C not limited by age, unless otherwise stated on this form. Order of finals will be C B and A finals All relays will swim slow to fast, will be scored at the conclusion of finals. Relays will be scored by as 12-Under, 14- Under, 18-Under and Senior with a limit of 10 scoring relays TOTAL for each team across the cumulative event. Additional relays may be entered, but will not be scored. The non-scoring relay must be marked exhibition at the time of entry. Swimmers may only participate in one relay per relay event. Relays will be swum slowest to fastest.
