2 Aim A Development Squad Prepare swimmers to qualify for the 2018 National Age Championships and step up to Finals Criteria Swimmers aged years (as at 1/4/17) Swimmers must have competed in at least 1 individual event at the 2017 Australian LC Championships (MC, Age, or Open Water) Swimmers must have competed in at least 1 individual event at the December 2016 NSW LC Championships (MC, Age, Country or Open Water) or Interstate equivalent Attend 2017 SISA Area LC Championships or a Zone Championships Dates and Venue 23 & 24 September 2017 at (Venue TBA) The A Development Squad will be run by SNSW. Details on cost and timetable for the weekend will be available closer to the date

3 Aim B Development Squad Prepare swimmers to qualify for the 2018 National Age Championships Criteria Swimmers aged years (as at 1/4/17) Swimmers must have at least 1 qualifying time in an individual event at the December 2016 NSW Age LC Championships Swimmers must have competed in at least 1 individual event at the December 2016 NSW LC Championships (MC, Age, Country or Open Water) or Interstate equivalent Attend 2017 SISA Area LC Championships or a Zone Championships Development Dates 8/7/17 11:00am 6:00pm 9/7/17 8:00am 3:00pm Swim Clinic Venue Head Coach Cost GT Aquatics, Albury Les Barclay $30 (Development Days Only) $130 (Development Days & Target Meet) Note: The cost of the Development Days does not include food nor accommodation. Target Swim Meet 29 th and 30 th July 2017 in Sydney We will be travelling as a team to the Target Swim Meet. A bus will leave Wagga Friday afternoon and return Sunday night. A designated Coach and Team Manager will travel with the team

5 D Development Squad Aim Prepare swimmers to qualify for the NSW State Age Championships Increase participation and swimmer retention Criteria Swimmers aged 9 16 years (as at 1/4/17) Attend 2017 SISA Area LC Championships or a Zone Championships Development Dates 23/7/17 10:00am 4:00pm 20/8/17 10:00am 4:00pm 24/9/17 10:00am 4:00pm Swim Clinic Venue Wagga Swim Pool Head Coach Les Barclay Cost $10 per day Achiever Swim Meet 7 th October 2017 at SOPAC Swimmers are required to make their own way to the Swim Meet. A designated Coach and Team Manager will attend the Swim Meet

6 Zone Championships For the purposes of qualifying to participate in the SISA Development Program, swimmers had to attend either the 2017 SISA LC Championships or a designated Zone Championships. The Swim Meets are: SISA Championships Held 4/2/17 at Wagga 2. Riverina Zone Championships Held 11/2/17 at Narrandera (This is the Narrandera Open Meet) 3. South West Zone Championships Held 19/2/17 at Temora (This is the SW Zone Qualifying Meet 4) 4. Murray Zone Championships Held 4&5/3/17 at Albury (This is the O&M Championships) - 6 -

8 B & C Squad Development Squad Meet Swimmers in the SISA B & C Development Squad will be competing at the SNSW Target Swim Meet (Venue TBA) 29&30/7/17. There are no Swim Meet entry fees. More information on this Swim Meet will be released by SNSW shortly. Swimmers wishing to enter will need to submit entries via to me at: Gtaquatics1@yahoo.com.au A copy of the Entry Form is found on page 10. D Squad Swimmers in the SISA D Development Squad will be targeting the SNSW Achiever Swim Meet held at (Venue TBA) on Saturday 7/10/17. Swimmers will be required to make their own way to Sydney and pay for their own pool entry. There are no Swim Meet entry fees. More information on this Swim Meet will be released by SNSW shortly. 12 SISA Swim Coaches SISA Swim Coaches are invited to attend any of the B, C & D Squad Development Days. This is especially important if you have any swimmers in your Swim Club attending. There is no cost for Swim Coaches and lunch will be provided. During the lunch break SISA Coaches will have an opportunity to ask the SNSW Mentor Coach questions on the any topics. Coaches are encouraged to write down their own Training Sets they use in the own program and bring it along to share with other Coaches and ask the SNSW Mentor Coach what their thoughts are. ASCTA Professional Development Points will be available to all Coaches who attend the Development Days. E Squad Development Days Coaches are encouraged to attend these Development Days and assist with the sessions. A number of different stroke drills will be presented and this is an opportunity for coaches to learn more stroke drills for Juniors, District and State Swimmers
