2 NEW NEWS Congratulations to Jessica Long and Becca Meyers for their tremendous results at the 2016 Paralympics in RIO. Jessica Long SM8 200 IM: Gold Medal S8 100 Breast: Silver Medal S8 400 Free: Silver Medal S8 100 Back: Bronze Medal S8 100 Fly: Bronze Medal Becca Meyers S Fly: Gold Medal & World Record SM IM: Gold Medal S Free: Gold Medal & World Record S Free: Silver Medal Congratulations to Becca Meyers for winning the USA Swimming Trischa L. Zorn Award which is given to the Outrstanding Performance of the Year by an adaptive Swimmer. Eight additional pictures on the Meadowbrook/NBAC wall of fame will appear in the coming months. The search committee has been meeting weekly. The application deadline is approaching (September 30) and the committee has been evaluating the applications as they have come in. We will continue the process until we find a top notch coach that will be able to lead our Senior swimmers through the next 4 years and beyond. Check out the following new link for NBAC spirit wear. We continue to add items and fine tune the site. THE CAPS ARE IN! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GET A CAP.THEY ARE THE ONLY CAP ALLOWED IN PRACTICE! The NBAC 8 & unders and select 9 & 10 swimmers participated in the 2016 NBAC / MAC Pentathlon Dual Meet. The swimmers did great and are off to a great start of the SCY season. 5 MEETS The coaching staff does all meet entries for ALL swimmers and meets. The coaches will select the best meets for the swimmers as well as the events each swimmer will be entered in. It is assumed that all swimmers will attend all meets in which the coaching staff selects for each swimmer. It is up to each swimmer/parent to send an to their Lead Coach as well as Tom and notify them if you are unable to attend a meet. This must be done no later than 4 weeks prior to the date of the meet. The meets are an important part of the equation to developing each swimmer to the best of their abilities. Please make every effort to attend each meet you are selected to attend. The schedule for the Short & Long Course Seasons is included in this weekly report. It is accurate right now but is subject to change if we feel it is in the best interest of the swimmers involved. If and when there are any changes, you will be notified via the Bi-weekly report.
