Swimmers will swim their age as of February 9, Swimmers should be prepared to use fly over starts. Feet first three point entries from the starting end of the pool during general warm-ups will be enforced for all sanctioned/approved competition. Special needs: The coach of any swimmer with special needs should notify the meet referee before the session(s) that swimmer is participating in. One of the main goals of the OSS is to have meets that have shorter sessions where an entire team competes at the same time, reducing the drain on swimmers, families, and coaches. To be consistent with the philosophy of the OSS the format of the Winter Open has been changed from years past. On Thursday and Friday the meet will be held at the Oshkosh YMCA. On Saturday and Sunday there will be 1 session held at both the Oshkosh YMCA and at Appleton North High School. Each of these sessions will run identical events. At the end of the each session the results will be merged and awards will be given based on the merged results. Teams may pick which pool they would like to swim at on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a 350 swimmer limit at each facility. When the 350th swimmer (the entire team will be placed at the pool) is reached at one pool, all other teams/swimmers will be assigned to the other pool. Team assignments will be made on a first come, first served basis, with the earliest entry files will be accepted 8:00 AM, Monday, January 23 When ing your entry file include Saturday/ Sunday: OSHKOSH or Saturday/ Sunday: APPLETON The meet will be pre-seeded. All events will be swum fastest to slowest. There will be no 8+Under seeding, all swimmer should report directly to the blocks. All events will be swum mixed (girls and boys together regardless of age) Meet Awards: Awards will be given for girls and boys as listed below For 25 s awards will be given for 8+U, 9-10, and Swimmers older than 12 may swim the 25 s but will not receive awards For 50 s and longer awards will be given for 8+U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15+Over. The Meet Director has the authority to disqualify swimmers found misbehaving. Only coaches, swimmers, officials and meet workers are allowed on deck. Coaches must display YMCA or USS credentials at all times while on deck. : Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited.in accordance with the Federal Video Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004 the use of camera phones or video recording devices in the locker rooms is prohibited.

There will be a limited number of heat sheets for sale at the pool.
