MEET TYPE: 3- day, prf f time, A+ age grup meet fr SI and Out- f- District swimmers, with Prelims & Finals (champinship and cnslatin) fr mst 10 & Under, 11-12, and events. MEET DIRECTOR: Dr. Dean Bailey at r dcbailey@gmail.cm POOL: Brian Bent Memrial Aquatics Cmplex, Crnad High Schl, th Street, Crnad CA Phne (619) yard x 50 meter pl with tw 8- lane 25 yard curses separated by a bulkhead, allwing fr prtins f the prelims and timed final sessins t be run cncurrently. Additinal 25 yard warm- up area available during meet. The minimum water depth, measured in accrdance with Article , is 7 feet, 0 inches at the start end and 7 feet, 0 inches at the turn end. The cmpetitin curse has nt been certified in accrdance with Article C(4). Clrad timing and screbard will be in use. ELIGIBILITY: Open t SI and Out- f- District USA swimmers wh hld a valid 2014 r 2015 USA Swimming Card issued n later than Thursday, December 11, On- deck registratins are nt permitted. All USA Swimming registratin numbers will be verified with the SWIMS registratin database; swimmers withut a current registratin will be scratched frm all events. ENTRY LIMITS: This event is limited t the first 800 entries received. Additinal entries beynd the first 800 may be accepted based upn the calculated meet timeline. Entries will be accepted in the rder received until the meet capacity is reached. Entries that are rejected due t the entry limit having been exceeded will be ntified via and any entry fees returned. RULES: Current USA swimming rules and SI Swimming meet prcedures will gvern all cmpetitin, and will take precedence ver errrs/missins f this meet annuncement. All caches and deck fficials must wear their USA Swimming membership cards in a visible manner. The use f audi r visual recrding devices, including a cell phne, is nt permitted in changing areas, rest rms, r lcker rms. Recrding devices are nt permitted behind the starting blcks during the starting sequence thrughut the meet. Check- in. This is a deck seeded meet. Swimmers must check in with the Clerk f Curse fr each event they wish t swim. Swimmers wh fail t check in fr an event will be scratched frm that event and nt allwed t swim. Scratches are permitted withut refunds. After an event is clsed, a swimmer may nt check in r scratch. Check- in fr the first fur events f each day s prelims r timed finals sessins will clse ne- half hur prir t the start f the sessin; the remaining events will clse when the sessin starts WAGC 1

2 RULES (Cntinued) Unaccmpanied Athlete: Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccmpanied by a USA Swimming member cach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member cach as being prficient in perfrming a racing start r must start each race frm within the water. It is the respnsibility f the swimmer r the swimmer s legal guardian t ensure cmpliance with this requirement. N Shw Penalty. Once checked in fr a prelims r timed final event, any swimmer wh is a n shw fr that event will be barred frm their next individual event and will nt be allwed t swim that race. Distance Events: The 500 freestyle, 1000 freestyle and 1650 freestyle are timed final events and will be swum fastest t slwest, alternating girls and bys heats. Swimmers in the 500, 1000 and 1650 freestyle must be prepared t supply a timer fr three heats, and are respnsible fr prviding their wn lap cunters. Finals: A champinship and cnslatin final (8 swimmers in each heat) will be ffered with the exceptins f the events listed belw: All relay events will be timed finals. 10 & Under events will nly ffer a champinship final f 8 swimmers. The 12&Under 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, and 400 IM events will be timed finals with all heats swum during prelims. The and IM will be cnducted as timed finals with the fastest heat (8) swimming during finals. All ther heats will be swum during prelims. The 10 & Under, 11-12, 13-14, and Free events and the and 1650 Free events will be cnducted as timed finals with all heats swum during prelims. Start Time fr Finals: The start time fr finals will be set by the meet referee, but in any event will begin n sner than 2 hurs after the cmpletin f the final heat f the preliminary events each day. Finals Scratch Prcedures: The natinal finals' scratch rule will be used. A swimmer must scratch r place an intent t scratch n an event within 30 minutes f the annuncement f the preliminary results. Finals are scratch nly (psitive check in will nt be used). A swimmer wh is a "n- shw" fr finals (riginal tp 8 r 16 places nly) will be remved frm the remainder f the meet. Relays: Relays fr 10 & Under and age grups will be swum at the cnclusin f the timed final sessin each day. Relays fr and will be swum as timed- final events in the finals sessins fllwing the individual events. Clubs may enter any number f relays, but nly the tp 2 finishing relays in each event may scre pints fr each club. Relays may be deck- entered; but relay- nly swimmers must be pre- entered int the meet and pay the $6.00 swimmer surcharge. Relay cards fr 10 & Under and 11-12s are due at 11:00am each day. 3 ENTRIES: This is a Prf Of Time meet! Swimmers are limited t a maximum f 3 individual entries per day. Please submit shrt curse yard times; lng curse times will be seeded after shrt curse times. Entry times will be verified with the SWIMS database; entry times will be crrected in accrdance with SI Swimming entry time verificatin prcedures. Entry times which cannt be verified in SWIMS will be scratched withut refund. D nt submit NT n time entries r ET estimated time entries, as these will be rejected withut ntice. D nt cnvert entry times frm meters t yards. Special: The 10&Under 500 Y Free event must be entered with the swimmer s best time fr the 200 Y Free. The qualifying time fr this events is marked with a *. All entries must be received (hand delivered, express delivered r electrnic) by the entry deadline: 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 11, Abslutely n late entries will be accepted. All team entries (3 r mre swimmers) must be submitted electrnically using a Hy- Tek Team Manager cmpatible system. The meet event file is available at swimming.rg. Submit electrnic entries and a PDF entry fee reprt via t Dr. Dean Bailey at dcbailey@gmail.cm alng with a team check fr all entry fees mailed within 48 hurs. We will cnfirm entries via if requested. Prir t the entry deadline, team entries may be changed ONLY by re- submitting the entire team's crrected entries as a single replacement Hy- Tek file, prvided the apprpriate entry fees are received by the deadline.
