3 1. GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1. The details of the meet are: a. Meet Title 3 rd CSC Super Junior Swimming Invitational 2018 b. Venue Chinese Swimming Club 21/34 Amber Road, Singapore Sports Complex, Level 1 Competition Pool 1.2. A registration fee of S$45.00 (inclusive of 7% GST) will be levied for each swimmer. Clubs who sign up by Wednesday, 23 rd May 2018 are entitled to an early bird discount of 20% - S$36.00 (inclusive of 7% GST) per swimmer The registration fee of S$45.00 or S$36.00 (early bird discount) will entitle each swimmer to register up to a maximum of 5 individual events Extra individual events will be charged at S$10.00 (inclusive of GST) per event An entry fee of S$20.00 (inclusive of 7% GST) will be levied for each relay team entry The Facebook page for the 3 rd CSC Super Junior Swimming Invitational 2018 can be found at Please kindly note that shower facilities are available. However swimmers are required to bring their own towels and toiletries. 3

5 2. COMPETITION INFORMATION 2.1. FINA rules shall apply in this competition All events will be swum as Timed Finals Races will be combined in the interest of time but medals will still be awarded according to swimmers respective age groups Competitors (regardless of age) shall be seeded from the fastest to the slowest The meet will run in the Long Course Meters (LCM) format Age computation will be as of 31 st December 2018, i.e. 12 years Born in years Born in years Born in years Born in years & under Born in 2010 or after 2.7. A swimmer may only compete in the stipulated age group in which he/she falls under The Team Leader/Manager Meeting will be held as follows: Date : Thursday, 28 th June 2018 Time : 11.00am Venue : Chinese Swimming Club, Arrival Pavilion (Level 2) - Conference Room Parking : B2 of Sports Complex (Will only open after 630am) 2.9. The Psych Sheet will be sent to participating clubs for verification by Friday, 23 rd June The Start List will be sent out on Friday, 29 th June ELIGIBILITY 3.1. The meet is open to any swimmer who falls within age categories as indicated in

6 4. ENTRY REGULATIONS 4.1. Entries closing date: 12pm on 9 th of June There will be no qualifying times for this meet Submission of Entries: a. All participating Clubs are required to submit entries electronically via the Hy-Tek Sports Software s Team Manager Format to cscsuperjunior@chineseswimmingclub.org.sg. Clubs which do not own the software may download a free version Team Manager Lite from Each Club is allowed to enter any number of swimmers per event but only the top two (2) swimmers from each event will be awarded points for the scoring system for their Club Each swimmer will be allowed to enter four (5) individual events and two (2) relay events In the Relay Events, the names of swimmers of the relay team and their order of swim must be submitted to the Control Room before 11.00am on the day of the competition. The team must swim in the order according to the submission Payment for all registration and entries for local team are to be made before 11am on the day of the Team Leaders Meeting (Thursday, 28 th June 2018). If payment for entry fees is not made on time, the entries will not be accepted Payment can be made via cash, NETS, credit card or cheque (payable to Chinese Swimming Club ) Payment for all registration and entries for overseas team are to be made via telegraphic transfer by Wednesday, 27 th June

7 5. DNS/WITHDRAWALS 5.1. An administrative fee of S$20.00 (including GST) shall be imposed on each withdrawal of entered event after the release of the start list till sixty (60) minutes before the start of each session Withdrawals within sixty (60) minutes of the start of each session or without notification to the Control Room Supervisor shall be deemed Did Not Show or Did Not Start (DNS). A penalty of S$50.00 (including GST) shall be imposed on all DNS The administrative fee and penalty will be waived if the swimmer produces a valid medical certificate for the relevant day of the race. However, the swimmer will not be permitted to participate in any further races for the day. 6. MEDALS & SCORING SYSTEM 6.1. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 positions for individual and relay events. In addition, pins will be given to the 4 th to 8 th positions The scoring system used in this meet for both individual and relay events will follow the table below: PLACING POINTS Team Championship Trophy - The team that achieves the highest points tally in this meet will be the winning team for the Challenge Trophy The Most Valuable Swimmer Award for 12 YO, 11 YO, 10 YO, 9 YO and 8 & under will be given out to each male and female who has the most number of gold medals, followed by silver and bronze. 6

9 8. FOOD 8.1. There will be sales of bento lunch box available on both days. WARM UP GUIDELINES 9.1. The schematics in the diagram shall be observed at all times during warm-ups There shall be NO DIVING in the Circle Swimming Lanes, the Turn Practice Lanes, and the 25m Pace Lane (opposite side). Entry to these lanes is via feet first entry from the sitting position at all times The use of swim paddles is prohibited during warm-up. 8

10 9.4. The Dive Sprint Lanes are one-way only swimmers should clear the lanes immediately and walk back. Swimmers are advised to exercise caution when doing Backstroke starts No parents will be allowed on deck during warm up. 10. PROTESTS Protests must be submitted in accordance with the following: a. In writing with the supporting facts b. With a deposit of S$ enclosed c. Submitted to the Meet Referee by the Team Manager d. Submitted within thirty (30) minutes following the conclusion of the event in question If the Meet Referee rejects the protest, he/she must state the reasons for his decision. The Team Manager may then appeal against the rejection to the Jury of Appeal, whose decision shall be final. If the protest is not successful, the deposit shall be forfeited. If the protest is successful, the deposit shall be refunded The Jury of Appeal will comprise of the Meet Director and 2 Team Leaders The Jury of Appeal will be appointed at the Team Leader s Meeting. 11. DISCLAIMER In event of inclement weather or other adverse environmental conditions, CSC reserves the rights to delay, postpone or cancel the Meet without any refund or rescheduling of the Meet/events. 9
