Activated with a remote control, the treadmill is adjustable in speed from 0.5 to 5.5 mph. Use the treadmill with the current on or off to vary the intensity of your walk or jog. Take it to the next step and use the aquatic treadmill to cross-train in the Endless Pool. Alternate between swimming and walking or jogging to get a full body workout. Additional Considerations The hydraulic treadmill installation will change the installation of either the Elite Endless Pool or the Dual Propulsion Endless Pool. Read the for the Elite Endless Pool or the Dual Propulsion Endless Pool and the hydraulic treadmill in their entirety prior to installation. If you have purchased the Dual Propulsion Endless Pool and only one treadmill, then the default position for the treadmill will always be in front of the left propulsion housing. Depending on where the power unit is in relation to the pool, additional hydraulic hose will be needed. Up to 25 of hose can be provided at no cost. Hoses longer than 25 can be provided at an additional cost. Installation Instructions Thru-Wall Panel Cutouts 1) Holes will have to be drilled into the front panel to accept the treadmill hydraulic hose thru-wall assemblies. Holes will have to be drilled one of three ways: If the holes for the treadmill are being drilled in an Elite pool, then these holes will be drilled immediately to the left of the propulsion housing (vertically aligned with the swim current submersible hose assembly holes). Refer to the diagram on the following page. If the holes are being drilled in a Dual Propulsion Endless Pool with only one treadmill, then these holes will be drilled vertically aligned with the holes of the LEFT propulsion housing submersible hose assemblies. Refer to the diagram on the following page.

2 Page 2 of 9 If holes are being drilled for two treadmills in a Dual Propulsion Endless Pool, then mirror the positioning of the holes from the left housing. 2) The holes for the treadmill hoses will be aligned vertically just underneath the swim current holes. Measure down, from the top flange of the pool, 10 for the center mark of the first hole and 18 for the second hole. Use the provided 2-1/2 hole saw to drill these holes. 3 Page 3 of 9 Belt Adjustment The treadmill s belt has been factory-adjusted for immediate use. Prior to installing, confirm that the belt s tension has not been altered during shipment. Place your hand under the belt along the center of the treadmill body. You should be able to comfortably get your fingers between the belt and the platform. Should the tension or alignment of the treadmill belt need adjustment, a belt tension tool has been provided. Turning the axle adjustment bolt (found at the rear of the treadmill on either side of the treadmill drum) clockwise will increase the belt tension and turning the adjustment screw counter-clockwise will decrease the belt tension. The rear axle should always be parallel to the front axle, make sure to turn each adjustment screw equally. For best results, always make adjustments, as the belt is moving. After each adjustment, wait seconds as it can take that long for the belt to react. Treadmill Installation Follow the installation instructions found in either Dual Propulsion or Elite Endless Pool up to step 10 of the section entitled, Front Component Support Assembly. When installing a treadmill, the front base faceplate(s) will be installed before the power wing cap. 1) Outside the pool, attach the hoses to the motor that is attached to the treadmill body. The hoses will have female swivel fittings attached to each end. The fitting that had a flat face (not tapered) will be attached to the motor. Use the 15/16 wrench to tighten the fittings to the motor. One of the hoses will have red tape wrapped around the hydraulic fittings. This is intended to be the low-pressure hose. Refer to the below chart for proper hose configuration. A and B in the chart below refer to the port of the hydraulic motor. The letter is engraved on the motor adjacent to each port. The side decks will be secured to the body using the provided 3/4 stainless steel screws. There are 4 screws along the belt and 1 on the vertical edge of the rear per side deck (Fig 1). 4 Page 4 of 9 3) Attach the lower standoff to the treadmill using the provided 3/4 screws (Fig 2) Lower Standoff (Fig 2) 4) Use the flathead screwdriver and hammer to chisel out the knockout on the backside of the front base faceplate(s). Additionally, chisel out the knockouts labeled TM in the front base(s) that correspond to the location of the treadmill (Fig 3). Do not remove any more knockouts then necessary (there are a total or four knockout per treadmill-two in the faceplate and two in the housing base). Knockout labeled TM is for the treadmill (Fig 3) 5) Install the 1 liquid tight fitting into the front base faceplate(s) using the liquid tight lock nuts so that the locknut is facing out into the pool and the compression gland would be facing the front wall of the pool. 6) Install the front base faceplate to the propulsion housing. If the treadmill is going into an Elite Endless Pool, then attach the front base faceplate to the front base assembly. Only attach the center screw (just beneath the propulsion housing) and lower screws at this time; the upper screws will be attached in a later step.

5 Page 5 of 9 If the treadmill is going into a Dual Propulsion Endless Pool, attach the front base faceplates to the front of each housing. These faceplates will be labeled DL for left faceplate and DR for the right faceplate. Use the provided 1 screws to attach. A side bench support will be installed where the faceplates meet between the 2 propulsion housings. Attach all four screws on the vertical face first. Place the center cap (DC) on and install the 2 screws on the horizontal face. 7) Loosen the compression gland on the liquid tight fitting that is now on the inside of the power wing. 8) Make sure that the red plastic plug is installed into the end of the hose opposite the motor. Push the hoses through their respective liquid tight fitting. Push the hoses into the power wing so that the treadmill body is seated against the front base faceplate. Once the treadmill is seated against the front base, tighten the compression glands on the liquid tight fittings installed in the front base faceplate. 9) Secure the treadmill to the front housing using the provided 1 screw and fender washer as shown. 10) Install two liquid tight fittings into the front base into the holes labeled TM. Use the provided liquid tight fitting lock nuts to secure the fittings to the base. 11) Loosen the compression glands on these liquid tight fittings and push the treadmill hoses up through fittings. Make sure that you pull any excess hose out of the power wing, making sure that the hose does not kink. Re-tighten the liquid tight compression glands. 12) Install the treadmill shroud next. Loosely thread in the three screws that secure the shroud to the lower standoff. Push the shroud against the front base and tighten the screws.

6 Page 6 of 9 Treadmill Shroud Side Deck (Fig 4) 13) Re-attach the top plate of the power wing. 14) The treadmill is now in its fixed position. Continue with the installation of the internal components of the pool. Return to the section entitled, Side Return Channel Support Assembly of the either the Elite Endless Pool or Dual Propulsion Endless Pool as appropriate. Treadmill Hydraulic Hose Assemblies 1) Continue filling the pool until the water level is approximately 3 below the lowest thru-wall cutout in the panel. 2) Using the hole in the panel as a template cut out that section of liner. Each hydraulic hose thru-wall will have two rubber gaskets and one cork gasket. One rubber gasket will go between the thru-wall fitting and the liner on the inside of the pool. The second rubber gasket will go between the liner and the panel on the inside of the pool. The cork gasket goes between the panel and the thru-wall fitting locknut on the outside of the pool. Only tighten the lock nut hand tight. 3) If not done so already, glue the 1-1/2 x 1 FPT bushing reducer into the backside of the thru wall fitting. 4) If not done so already, thread a 1 liquid tight fitting into the 1-1/2 x 1 FPT bushing reducer. Make sure to use Teflon sealant the liquid tight fitting before you thread it into the bushing. 5) The hydraulic treadmill will affect the placement of the hydraulic hose assemblies for the swim current. Refer to the below diagram for proper placement for both the swim current and the hydraulic treadmill hose assemblies. Loosen the liquid tight fitting compression gland and push the hydraulic hose through the thru-wall assembly. Push any excess hose out of the pool, making sure that the hose does not kink. Tighten the compression gland. Continue to fill to just below the just below the next cutout. Repeat steps 2-4 for the next treadmill hose thru-wall assembly.

The hose with the red tape will be connected to the connection on the black fill cap of the motor. The other hose will be connected to the fitting on the high-pressure manifold (gold box). 2) Refer back to the section entitled, Hose Connection to the Power Unit of the either the Elite Endless Pool or Dual Propulsion Endless Pool as appropriate.

8 Page 8 of 9 Electrical Electrical Connections (for US and countries with similar electrical requirements)- A licensed electrician should make all electrical connections. The hydraulic power unit for the underwater treadmill requires a 220v 30amp GFCI protected power supply. Power will be supplied to the power unit by connecting the existing whip on the power unit control box to the incoming power supply. Note: the neutral wire in the whip will not be used in this application. The load neutral of the GFCI breaker will be connected directly to the neutral bus bar inside your electrical panel.

9 Page 9 of 9 Electrical Connections (for UK and countries with similar electrical requirements)- A licensed electrician should make all electrical connections. The hydraulic power unit for the underwater treadmill requires a 220v 30amp RCD protected power supply. Power will be supplied to the power unit by connecting the existing whip on the power unit control box to the incoming power supply. Usage & Maintenance The Hydraulic Aquatic Treadmill allows you to enjoy a full walking or running workout without the pounding of land-based exercise. The Hydraulic Aquatic Treadmill offers a spacious 20" wide belt for walking or running. You expend as much or as little effort as desired and still achieve a great cardio workout. Two wireless remotes have been provided to operate the treadmill. Press and hold the ON button to turn the treadmill on. To increase the speed of the belt, press and hold the FASTER button. To decrease the speed of the belt, press and hold the SLOWER button. To turn the treadmill off, press and hold the OFF button. Should the treadmill belt require any tension adjustment, refer to the Belt Adjustment section of this (page 3).
