1 Welcome to a new term of sport! JUNIOR TAS SPORT (24 APRIL) Before we start with Netball and Rugby, let s rewind back to the last day of Term 1, Thursday 2 April. Thirty-five of our most talented swimmers represented Ormiston College at the Junior TAS Swimming Carnival. Students from Years 2 to 6 excitedly boarded the team bus, and the energy that was felt on the ride to Chandler, was the same as on the way back to OC some eight hours later! The energy amongst the students never dropped, and throughout the day we witnessed some fine individual performances. As a team, our girls worked hard in the pool, and the boys did exceptionally well. For all of the results from the Junior TAS Swimming Carnival please see pages 3 to 5. Many thanks to our coaches: Mrs. Ware, Mrs. Cunningham, and Mr. Davidson for their coaching efforts throughout the season. NETBALL AND RUGBY Rugby and netball training will re-commence this Thursday 23 April, 1.55pm to 3pm. Wednesday after-school training will start next week 29 April, 3.30pm to 4.30pm. RUGBY EQUIPMENT It is compulsory for all rugby players to bring with them their mouthguard and head gear to all trainings and games. Without these pieces of equipment your son will not be able to participate. CROSS COUNTRY AND TRIATHLON RESULTS I have included all the Cross Country and Triathlon results from the Interhouse Carnival held in the last week of Term 1. Please see Page 2 for all the age champions and overall results. There are photos from both the Interhouse Cross Country and Triathlon and the Formula One Cross Country on pages 6 and 7. CROSS COUNTRY TRAINING Students from Years 3 to 6 interested in attending training are to meet under the hut beside the Junior School Oval every Thursday morning, starting at 7.30am, and concluding by 8am. Students are required to wear/bring the following: PE shirt, shorts, school cap, trainers and plenty of water.
