1 2017 TNAQ LONG COURSE INVITATIONAL June 16-18, 2017 This meet will be conducted under the auspices of Southeastern Swimming, Inc. of USA Swimming. USA Swimming technical rules and regulations will be followed except for items specifically addressed in the meet information Sanctioned by Southeastern Swimming, Inc SANCTION #: 17SETNAQ6-18 HOSTED BY: Tennessee Aquatics 1400 Dowell Springs Blvd, Suite 100 Knoxville, TN TIME TRIAL SANCTION #: 17SETNAQ6-18TT LOCATION: Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center 2200 Andy Holt Ave, Knoxville, TN FACILITIES: 8-lane, 50 meter x 25 yard with slanted starting blocks (28 inches above the water surface). Pool depth is 8 feet at ends, 9 feet in the center. Lanes are 9 feet wide formed by 6-inch Competitor lane markers. Warm-up/warm-down pool is located adjacent to the competition pool, with a minimum of two and up 5 separate 25-yard warm-up/ warm-down lanes available. Seating is available for 1,284 spectators in the balcony overlooking the pool. Only coaches and athletes are permitted on the pool deck, locker rooms are adjacent to the pool. The competition course has been certified in accordance with C (4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming TIMING: RULES: Daktronics electronic timing system and scoreboard. Current USA Swimming rules will govern the conduct of the meet unless otherwise noted herein. All officials must wear current USA membership card while on deck and must present current Officials certification card to Meet Referee at check-in. Please contact Burke Arthur at bavol@tds.net with level of certification and sessions you desire to work ELIGIBILITY: All Clubs, including seasonal clubs, shall ensure that all athletes and coaches participating in USA Swimming sanctioned competitions are current 2017 members of their LSC and USA Swimming or FINA. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session. All Clubs, including seasonal clubs, shall ensure that all athletes and coaches participating in USA Swimming sanctioned competitions are current 2017 members of their LSC and USA Swimming or FINA CREDENTIALS: In accordance with Southeastern Swimming Rules, coaches and officials are required to display proof of current USA Swimming membership. You must have your credentials to enter the pool deck. Therefore all coaches are required to sign in with the Clerk of Course and/or all coaches must be prepared to show their coaching credentials at any time to the Meet Director and /or the Meet Referee".

2 WARM UP PROCEDURES: Southeastern Swimming Meet Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect at this meet. The Meet Director will post and announce the warm-up assignments prior to the start of the meet warm-up. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session. SCHEDULE: June 16-18, 2017 Prelim Sessions Warm up: 7:00 AM Competition: 8:30 AM Afternoon Sessions Warm Ups will not start before 11:30 AM Friday & Saturday Finals Sessions Warm up: 5:00 PM Competition: 6:00 PM Sunday Finals Session Warm up: 4:00 PM Competition: 5:00 PM MEET FORMAT: Prelim/Finals and Timed finals meet with 82 events as set forth on the "Order of Events" (attached). Tennessee Aquatics reserves the right to limit ANY event to allow the meet to run in the allotted time. All Open events (except the 800/1500 Free) will be prelim/finals. Based on entry numbers there will be two to three final heats for Open and one to two for 13-14s. For all 12 & Under events will be timed finals. SEEDING: The 400 IM, 400 Free and 800/1500 Free will be deck seeded. If there are more than 3 heats of Open and IM and Open and Free they will be separated into A and B flights. The A flight will be the fastest 3 of Open and 3 heats of seeded slow to fast, circle seeded. The B flight will be seeded fast to slow. The 11-12, and Free will be deck seeded and swum fastest to slowest. 800/1500 FREESTYLE: 800/1500 Freestyle swimmers must provide their own counter for both prelim heats and final heats. These swimmers must also provide their own timer for prelim heats only. **There will be 1 heat of 800 and 1 Heat of 1500 swum at the beginning of finals session Sunday evening. ENTRIES: Prelim sessions swimmers may enter up to three (3) individual events per day. 12 Under timed finals session swimmers may swim (4) individual events per day. Entry times should be in Long Course Meters (LCM). The required method of entry is . Teams must submit their entry in a zipped file via . A printed report including full name, USA number, event numbers, and entry times of all swimmers must be included with the entry. This report will serve as the official entry form. Entries must be received no later than Tuesday, June 6, All entries should be submitted by to meetentries@tnaquatics.com. Heat Sheets and Real Time results will be posted each day. Final Results and result files will be posted on at the conclusion of the meet. DISABILITIES: Swimmers with disabilities are welcome and must complete the Information Form for Disabled Swimmers and return it with your entry fee summary. Also, inform the entry chair of any accommodations that need to be made when submitting entries by , meetentries@tnaquatics.com.

Swimmers entered in an individual event 400 yards or longer, who have checked in for that event, must swim in the event unless they notify the Clerk of Course (before seeding for that event has been done) that they wish to scratch. Failure to scratch prior to seeding and not swimming the event will result in the swimmer being barred from the next individual event in which they are entered, whether it is that day or the next day. Failure to scratch prior to seeding and not swimming any event on Sunday evening will result in the swimmer/team being fined $25.00 per event. USE OF AUDIO/VISUAL: Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not prohibited. No video recording is allowed behind the starting blocks DECK CHANGING: Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. TIME TRIALS & SWIM-OFFS: Time Trials will be conducted at the discretion of the meet referee. Time Trials fees: $6.00 individual $12.00 relay. Swim-offs, as required will be conducted not later than 30 minutes after the completion of the session. Unless otherwise directed by the meet referee, swim-offs will be setup and seeded. COACHES' MEETING: A coaches' meeting will be held in the hospitality room on Friday morning prior to the start of the session. No swimmers will be allowed in the pool during this time

4 AWARDS: There will be individual awards for the top eight 11/12s and the top eight 10 & under swimmers in each 12 & Under individual event and the top 3 relays in each 12 & Under relay event. CONCESSIONS & SWIM SHOP: Swim and Tri will be on site. Concessions will also be available for sale in the Allan Jones lobby. PARKING: Parking will be located at the Kingston Pike Building. You may also meter park on Volunteer Ave without a pass. If you choose to not park at the designated areas, you are parking at your own risk and could be subjected to being towed. Specifically, the student parking garage across from the pool will not be available since school is in session.
