Activities and events included: climbing, arts and pottery, dancing, music, sports, swimming, ice skating, and more. All activities are accessible to children with disabilities, and support is provided by the department's adaptive recreation staff.

Although the City of Fort Collins Recreation Department has been providing Senior Citizens with programs for over 30 years, the NEW Fort Collins Senior center was unveiled in The facility welcomes all ages but programs are primarily for adults age 18 and older, with an emphasis on activities for age 50+. Adaptive recreation staff also works closely with this staff to meet the needs of adults with special needs. The Senior Center is packed with great features: 25-yard two-lane lap pool 10-person spa Indoor jog/walk track Gymnasium Media center and library Multi-use area with stage Kitchen and lounge Always great events, trips and programs available

The City contracts its tennis activities to Lewis Tennis, and collaborates with many private non-profit youth sports organizations that run baseball, ice hockey, swim teams, soccer, rugby, etc. All ages participate! Programs like Sporties for Shorties for 3-5 year olds Basketball, volleyball, football, fencing, track and softball leagues for several other ages.

The Summer Recreator was released the week of May 3. Registration begins Thurs., May 13 at 7:00 AM. The Recreator is released through direct mail and is distributed to 200 businesses in town. The Recreator has been around for about 30 years.
