3 Dear friends We cordially invite you to the 9th edition of the International Swiss Youth competition in Artistic Swimming 2018, this year to be held in the city of Zürich. The newly renovated indoor pool Zürich-Leimbach will open its doors again March 2018 and the Swiss Youth Competion will be the first competition held in this pool after the renovation. We do hope to see an interesting competition as preparation for the Junior European Championships as well as the Mediterrenean Cup later this year. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Zürich. 4 COMPETITION INFORMATION Rules Pool Size The competition is open to all FINA and LEN members, foreign and Swiss clubs, and is held under FINA rules and the rules of the Swiss Swimming Federation. Length: 25m, Width 12.5m (5 lanes wide) at the height of the diving area 15.5 M Width of diving area 10.0 x 3.0m Depth 1.80m to 3.50m (diving area) Competition Events The medal events are * Age group 15 and younger: Solo, (Mixed) Duet, Team Figures (100%) and Free Routine (100%) Free Combination (100%) * Age group 18 and younger: Solo, (Mixed) Duet, Team Technical Routine (100%) Solo, (Mixed) Duet, Team Free Routine (100%) Free Combination (100%) Conditions for Entry Each federation/club is allowed to participate with: 2 solos / 2 duets / 2 mixed duets Team and free combination free in each category Each federation / club has to inscribe at least one judge for each Age Group. Swiss clubs inscribe their judges according to the Swiss Rules. Any entered routine may be swum. On site withdrawals will result in a fine of CHF (except for medical reasons with a doctor s certificate). Dress According to FINA rules Protest According to FINA rules Prizes Medals will be given to first, second and third places, prizes to rank 4 through 6. Music Please send your music in advance at the latest until April, 13 th, 2018, per or wetransfer ( to the following address: music@limmat-nixen.ch Please be sure to nevertheless bring a reserve CD with you, just in case Please prepare your music as wav-file and not as mp3-format. This contributes to the quality of the music underwater and for the audience. The music files should contain the following information: - Age Group category - Evens, i.e. team, solo etc. - Name(s) of the swimmer(s) - Club/Country with 3-letter code, i.e. SUI for Switzerland, LUG for Lugano

5 Doping Control Draw of Figures According to regulations of the Swiss National Olympic Committee it is possible that doping control will take place at this competition. Please note that by entering the Int. Swiss Youth Competition" you declare to accept any possible doping control. The figures will be drawn on Monday, April 23 rd. The figures will be send to the address mentioned on the entry forms. Training Schedule The training schedule of Friday, April 27 th, will be arranged by the organization according to the inscriptions. Entry fees for Swiss clubs According to Swiss rules (send via after the competition) Participants from abroad do not have to pay entry fees. Preliminary entry March 1, 2018 Preliminary entry forms are to be sent to Federations, foreign and Swiss clubs who would like to participate in the 10 th Int.
