1 2016 TOM AND BECKY INVITATIONAL SWIM MEET YMCA of Hannibal Held under the Sanction of USA Swimming # : Friday, February 12, 2016 Sunday, February 14, 2016 SPONSOR: Hannibal YMCA and the Hannibal Hurricanes Swim Team LOCATION: YMCA of Hannibal, #1YMCA Drive, Hannibal, MO FACILITY: 25 yard, 6-lane pool with non-turbulent lane lines. Automatic Colorado touch pad system with 6-line electric scoreboard. WARM-UPS: Warm-up lane assignments will be ed to the coaches. They will be posted in the various areas at the meet and in the coaches packet. There will be NO DIVING except during sprints! Warm-up lanes will be crowded. ENTRY LIMITATIONS: Each swimmer is limited to: Friday, February 12th Saturday, February 13th Sunday, February 14th 2 individual 3 individual/1 relay 4 individual/1 relay (entries will be verified and teams informed if swimmers are signed up for more than the maximum events for each session) No team entry will be split. There will be a limit of 3 participants total male OR female from each team for the Free. No 10 & Under Swimmers may participate in the 500 free. 500 Free and 400 IM will be swum as combined (male and female) seeded fastest to slowest. Athletes and teams are responsible for providing lap counters for the 500. FEES: Swimmer Surcharge: $7.00. Entry fees are $4.50/individual event and $20.00/ relay. Change in database relay amount ENTRY AND FEES DEADLINE: Monday, January 25 29, 2016 Entries are limited to the first 600 Swimmers, with the exception no team will be split Please submit entries via disk, (preferable) or handwritten. Fill out the attached entry forms if you do not have access to Meet Manager. Complete names and birthdays must be submitted with handwritten entries. Late entrants will not be permitted to swim unless they have paid for their events prior to the start of their session. USA SWIMMERS: This will be a USA Swimming approved meet (held under the sanction of USA swimming, Ozark Swimming sanction number.) Those teams that want their swimmers swims observed and times recorded in the USA Swimming data base (SWIMS) must provide the name (first, middle, last), date of birth, and USA Swimming athlete registration number with their Invitational entries on sheet provided. Please do not build an ID in Team Manager if the swimmers are not registered with USA Swimming as this will delay the process of getting times submitted into SWIMS. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming Member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this request. LATE ENTRIES AND SCRATCHES: We will accept late entries up to 45 minutes prior to the start of each session, but ONLY to fill vacant lanes in existing heats. We will not create new heats to accommodate late entries. The cost of late entries is $6.00/individual event and $24.00/relay. Late entry fees take effect Friday, the first day of the meet. Once we have seeded the meet, late entrants will be placed ONLY in vacant lanes in their gender and age group regardless of their seed time. Scratches will be accepted throughout the meet. ELIGIBILITY: Swimmers age as of December 1, 2015 will determine their age group for competition. Swimmers must meet all the Heartland Area YMCA and The Rules that Govern Competitive Sports eligibility requirements. In individual events, a swimmer may only swim in one competitive age group. In case of 12 year olds, they may swim in the events that are not being held in their age group. In relay events, a swimmer may swim up one age group (or two age groups for s only). The 8&under and 9-10 age groups cannot swim up 2 age groups.

2 RULES: This meet is held under the approval of USA Swimming. USA Swimming technical and administrative rules apply and the meet will be conducted accordingly. The no false start rule will be in effect. Swimmers in the wrong event, heat or lane will be disqualified from that event. DQ will be in effect for stroke violations for ALL AGES. This will be a closed YMCA meet. Swim suits must meet current USA guidelines SWIMWEAR.1 Design A. Swimsuits worn for all 12 & under age group defined competition shall not cover the neck,extend past the shoulder, nor past the knee. B. Swimsuits worn for competition must be non-transparent and conform to the current concept of the appropriate. C. The Referee shall have authority to bar offenders from the competition until they comply with the rule. FACILITY: Bleacher seating is available for 300 spectators in the pool viewing area. NO spectators will be allowed on the pool deck. You are asked to enter through the locker rooms and proceed through the deck area to the viewing area. NO TENTS ALLOWED! The facility will remain open to our members. NO smoking is allowed in or on the YMCA property. The use of audio or visual recording devices including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in the locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited by YMCA and USA Swimming. SEEDING: All events will be seeded from slowest to fastest, with the exception of the 500 Free which will be run fastest to slowest. RESULTS: Event results will be posted in the lobby and in the hospitality room. Live Results may be posted on website during the meet. Final results will be provided to the coaches at the end of the meet and on our website SCORING: Scoring and awards for all events will be based on age group, time and gender Individual Events Relay Events 1 st through 12 th place 1 st through 6 th place 20, 17, 15, 13, 11, 9, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 40, 34, 30, 26, 22, 18, 14, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 AWARDS: Individual Events Relay Events 1 st 3 rd Medals 1 st 3 rd Medals 4 th 12 th Ribbons 4 th 12 th Ribbons There will be two flights of Team trophies A Flight: Awards the top two teams based on point totals for the entire meet. B Flight: Awards the top two small teams based on point total for the entire meet. WORKERS: Timers: Timers will need to be provided by each team. Each team will be asked to provide a minimum of 1 timer in Session 1 (only if you have a swimmer competing in this session) and 2 timers in Sessions 2, 3, 4, and 5. Supervisor: Each team will need to provide the name of the adult supervisor for their swimmers in the bullpen team area for each session. Officials: Each team is responsible to provide certified stroke judges in a minimum of three sessions for the meet. Please fill out the enclosed stroke judge form so we can organize the stroke judging for the meet. We have applied for and received a USA Swimming approved sanction ####. It will be necessary for there to be two USA Swimming certified officials present at each session to verify that the meet was conducted using USA Swimming rules. If we do not have two USA Swimming certified officials present, the session s results cannot be submitted for entry in the USA Swimming SWIMS database. We are counting on your USA Swimming officials to be present and help us with this endeavor. CONCESSIONS: Full concessions will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. VENDORS: On The Blocks Aquatics will be at the meet on Saturday and Sunday. HOSPITALITY: The hospitality room is for coaches and meet officials ONLY HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will be sold throughout the meet.
