5 Directions for Use of Spa Purge and Spa Solution This is an easy two-step process. You need to remove all excess build-up of contaminants in your hot tub s system by introducing the Spa Purge before using Spa Solution. We recommend using the Spa Purge once a year for cleansing. The spa should not be used during the Spa Purge process which is anywhere from 5 to 7 days. The spa water should be changed every 3 months at which time you will need to add a bottle of Spa Solution. Step One: Spa Purge -The Penetrating Spa Cleanser- 1. Remove your cartridge filter. During the Spa Purge process, keep your filter out of the hot tub.
