Sanction # NC11152 Age Group Timed Final/ Senior Prelim/Final STAR Aquatics, LLC PO Box High Point, NC Greensboro Aquatics Center 1921 West Lee St. Greensboro, NC The Greensboro Aquatics Center is a 50 meter pool which can be broken into two short course venues with a separate diving well. This competition will use a 10 lane short course competition venue with continuous warm-up and cool down lanes available throughout the meet. The pool depth is 9-10 at the start and turn ends and 4 lane lines will be used to reduce turbulence. The lane width is 7. A Colorado Timing System 6 with a Daktronics Pro-Star LED Video Scoreboard Display will display results simultaneously. Starting platforms are Colorado Competition deck anchored platforms. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with C(4). No outside Food or Drink will be permitted. No Chairs are permitted. There is a spectator seating area with a capacity of 1850 persons. Spectators are not allowed on the deck at any time. The 650 bleacher seats on deck are reserved for swimmers only. VENUE SHOPS PARKING RULES: ELIGIBILITY: KAST-A-WAY Swim wear is located near the main entrance. Food and drink may be purchased from various Food Carts located throughout the venue. Parking will be $5.00 per day with same day re-entry allowed. Parking for Coaches and Officials will be provided. This meet will be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming Rules & Regulations and the NCS Safety Program, except where rules are therein optional and exceptions are herein stated. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. All swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming, Inc. to participate. Swimmers without current proof of membership will not swim. THERE WILL BE NO ON DECK REGISTRATION. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. STAR Aquatics welcomes all swimmers with disabilities as described in the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations, Article 105, to participate in our meets. Coaches entering swimmers with disabilities that require any accommodations are required to provide advance notice in writing to the meet director by the entry deadline accompanying their meet entry file, including the need for any personal assistants required and/or registered service animals. Failure to provide advance notice may limit STAR's ability to accommodate all requests.

2 FORMAT: SEEDING: There are seven (7) sessions in the meet which will be swum as follows: Friday evening Open session, Saturday and Sunday morning 13 &14 / Open Prelims in the East Pool concurrently with Age Group Timed Finals in the West Pool. Saturday and Sunday, there will be a Consolation, B and A Final for both the and Open Age Groups with the A & B Finals scoring points. Consolation, B & A finals will be swum in that order. All events except the 500 Free & 400 IM are pre-seeded slowest to fastest. The 500 Free & 400 IM will be deck seeded fastest to slowest and may be limited to the top 3 heats to stay within the allotted time. Positive Check-In is required by 4:00pm on Friday. Failure to check in by the deadline will result in the swimmer not being able to swim the event. **Swimmers must provide their own lap counters, timers will be provided. ENTRY LIMITS: Senior Meet swimmers are limited to a maximum of 3 individual events per day and 8 individual events throughout the weekend. 12 & Under swimmers are limited to a maximum of 4 individual events per day and 10 individual events throughout the weekend. Relays are not included in the limit. Meet Management reserves the right to limit and/or eliminate events to allow the meet to run in the allotted time. ENTRIES/ENTRY DEADLINE: Please note the following guidelines for entries: Calculate swimmer age as of December 2, Submit the entry with best SHORT COURSE YARDS times achieved in a USA competition or time trial. LONG COURSE METER times will be seeded after all SCY times. There will be no course conversion. Swimmers must choose to participate in either the 12 & Under Meet or the Senior Meet and may not enter both. Select the appropriate session for your swimmer. Submit a Hy-Tek Meet Manager compatible file to entries@staraquatics.net. A confirmation will be returned when they have been received. Entries will not be loaded until payment has been received. Complete the attached Meet Entry Form and mail it along with your payment*. There may be on-deck entries taken at this meet, but in open lanes only. This will be first come first serve. No swimmers will be added to the meet. *Double fees will apply and must be paid at the time of entry. Coaches should complete an Event Add form and submit it to the Hy-Tek table during warm-ups. Entry Deadline is Tuesday, November 22, 2011 by Midnight. Entries will be processed in the order received. Telephone entries will not be taken. Changes to previously submitted entries may be ed to entries@staraquatics..net, confirmation will be sent. Entries past the deadline (late entries) will be taken at the discretion of the Meet Director for double fees. Late entries will be handled on a first come first serve basis. *See Entry Fees for costs per event. Checks should be made out to STAR Aquatics. Meet Management will refund fees in the event individual events are limited due to time constraints.

3 RELAYS: MAIL MEET ENTRY FORM TO: All relay swimmers must be competing in at least one individual event. Submit relay scratches and relay names to the Hy-Tek Clerk by the end of warm-ups for each session. Final seeding will be done and posted. All relays will be swum at the end of the morning session with the exception of the and Open 200 Free Relays which will be swum at the end of finals on Saturday evening. (NCS Swimming Rules and Regulations 208.3) A swimmer may scratch a pre-seeded event on the blocks without penalty. Swimmers entered in deck-seeded events that have checked in, must swim the event unless they notify the Hy-Tek Clerk prior to the event being seeded. Failure to swim the event will result in the swimmer being barred from the next individual event in which they are entered, whether it is that day or the next. *POSITIVE CHECK-IN on Sunday morning for Sunday Evening Finals events will be required. All swimmers should indicate their intent/availability to swim at finals on Sunday evening. Warm up assignments will be posted and included in the coaches packet. The North Carolina safety program is in effect for this meet. Coaches are advised to closely supervise their swimmers at all times. NO Running or horseplay will be tolerated. No spectators will be allowed on deck. We ask that all coaches and officials show their credentials to the Meet Director or designee upon arrival. Only those with current proof of credentials will be allowed on deck. There will be no Clerk of Course. Swimmers and coaches should pay close attention to the event in the water and be prepared. There will be a general meeting at 4:30pm on Friday in the Hospitality room. All certified officials that hold current USA swimming membership are welcome on deck. There will be a meeting 45 minutes prior to the start of the sessions for officials. Location will be announced. There will be a hospitality room available to coaches and officials.
