Sanction #NC11100 Age Group/Senior Open STAR Aquatics, LLC PO Box High Point, NC Greensboro Aquatics Center 1921 West Lee St. Greensboro, NC The Greensboro Aquatics Center is a 50 meter pool which can be broken into two short course venues with a separate diving well. This competition will use a 10 lane short course competition venue with continuous warm-up and cool down lanes available throughout the meet. The pool depth is 9-10 at the start and turn ends and 4 lane lines will be used to reduce turbulence. The lane width is 7. A Colorado Timing System 6 with a Daktronics Pro-Star LED Video Scoreboard Display will display results simultaneously. Starting platforms are Colorado Competition deck anchored platforms. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with C(4). No outside Food or Drink will be permitted. No Chairs are permitted. There is seating capacity for 1850 spectators and 650 bleacher seats on deck. VENUE SHOPS PARKING RULES: ELIGIBILITY: FORMAT: SEEDING: KAST-A-WAY Swim wear is located near the main entrance. Food and drink may be purchased from various Food Carts located throughout the venue. Parking will be $5.00 per day with same day re-entry allowed. Parking for Coaches and Officials will be provided. This meet will be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming Regulations, NCS Official Handbook and NCS Safety Program, except where rules are therein optional and exceptions are herein stated. All swimmers must be registered with USA Swimming, Inc. to participate. Swimmers without current proof of membership will not swim. There will be no on deck registration. There will be four timed final sessions with a total of 96 events as set forth in the Order of Events. STAR Aquatics reserves the right to limit any event to allow the meet to run in the allotted time. All events except the 500 Free will are pre-seeded slowest to fastest. The 500 Free will be deck seeded fastest to slowest and may be limited to the top 24 entries to stay within the allotted time. POSITIVE CHECK-IN is required by the end of warm-ups on Sunday. Failure to check in by the deadline will result in the swimmer not being able to swim the event. Swimmers must provide their own lap counters, timers will be provided.

2 ENTRY LIMITS: ENTRIES/ENTRY DEADLINE: A swimmer may enter a maximum of 4 (four) individual events per day. Relays are not included in the limit. Meet management reserves the right to limit and/or eliminate relays and/or limit heats in any event to allow the meet to run in the allotted time. Please note the following guidelines for entries: Calculate swimmer age as of September 17, Swimmers must choose to participate in either the 10 & Under Meet or the Senior Meet and may not enter both. Select the appropriate session for your swimmer. Submit a Hy-Tek Meet Manager compatible file to entries@staraquatics.net. A confirmation will be returned when they have been received. Entries will not be loaded until payment has been received. Complete the attached Meet Entry Form and mail it along with your payment*. There may be on-deck entries taken at this meet, but in open lanes only. This will be first come first serve. No swimmers will be added to the meet. *Double fees will apply and must be paid at the time of entry. Coaches should complete an Event Add form and submit it to the Hy-Tek Clerk during warm-ups. Entry Deadline is Tuesday, September 6, 2011 by Midnight. Entries will be processed in the order received. Telephone entries will not be taken. Changes to previously submitted entries may be ed to entries@staraquatics..net, confirmation will be sent. Entries past the deadline (late entries) will be taken at the discretion of the Meet Director for double fees. PROOF OF TIME ENTRY FEES: Submit the entry with best SHORT COURSE YARDS times achieved in a USA competition or time trial. Checks should be made out to STAR Aquatics. Meet management will refund fees in the event relay or individual events are limited due to time constraints. Submit relay scratches and relay names to the Hy-Tek Clerk by the end of warm-ups for each session. Final seeding will be done and posted. This meet will not be scored individually or by team. The North Carolina Scratch rule will be in effect. (NCS Swimming Rules and Regulations 208.3) A swimmer may scratch a pre-seeded event on the blocks without penalty. Swimmers entered in deck-seeded events that have checked in, must swim the event unless they notify the Hy-Tek Clerk prior to the event being seeded. Failure to swim the event will result in the swimmer being barred from the next individual event in which they are entered, whether it is that day or the next. Warm up assignments will be posted and included in the coaches packet. The North Carolina safety program is in effect for this meet. Coaches are advised to closely supervise their swimmers at all times. NO Running or horseplay will be tolerated. No spectators will be allowed on deck. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Meet Management will require all coaches and officials to show proof of certification and registration upon arrival. Only those with current proof of credentials will be allowed on deck. In accordance with NC Swimming Rules, all coaches and officials are required to display their registration cards while on deck. CLERK OF COURSE: GENERAL MEETING: Clerk of Course will be provided for the afternoon sessions on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a general meeting at 8:20 am in the Hospitality room.

4 OFFICIALS: HOSPITALITY: LODGING: RELEASE: DISABILITY All certified and officials that hold current USA swimming membership are welcome on deck. There will be a meeting 30 minutes prior to the start of the session in the Hospitality room. There will be a hospitality room available to coaches and officials. We are in the process of negotiating contracts with hotels. We will add this information as soon as it becomes available. USA Swimming, Inc., North Carolina Swimming, Inc., Star Aquatics, LLC., Greensboro Aquatics Center and all employees and representatives of these organizations shall be held free and harmless from any and all liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this meet. STAR Aquatics welcomes all swimmers with disabilities as described in the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations, Article 105, to participate in our meets. Coaches entering swimmers with disabilities that require any accommodations are required to provide advance notice in writing to the Meet Director by the entry deadline accompanying their meet entry file, including the need for any personal assistants required and/or registered service animals. Failure to provide advance notice may limit STAR Aquatics s ability to accommodate all requests.
