For the young players that is a formative experience, which helps them tremendously in their development as athletes. The kids of today are the champions but also the instructors and the promoters of Taekwondo of tomorrow. Therefore WTE makes a special effort to support these children our future.

3 Qualification through the European President s Cup for Children Kyorugi Category A 6-8 years (born 2011, 2012, 2013) 9-11 years (born 2008, 2009, 2010) years (cadets) (born 2005, 2006, 2007) Poomsae Category A 6-8 years (born 2011, 2012, 2013) 9-11 years (born 2008, 2009, 2010) years (cadets) (born 2005, 2006, 2007) The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Kids-European-Championships 2019 on December 7-8 at Glaspalast Sindelfingen/Germany (in commemoration of the first World Championships outside Korea which took place 40 years ago at Glaspalast Sindelfingen) The top four (4) European Medalists qualify directly for the WTE Kids-European-Championships 2019 on December 7-8 at Glaspalast Sindelfingen One (1) quota place shall be allocated for the 2019 European Cadet Championships. The best (top 1) European athlete will receive a quota place for the 2019 European Cadet Championships. If the gold medal is not won by a European athlete, then the silver medalist will obtain the quota place. If the silver medalist is not a European athlete, then the bronze medalist that lost in the semi-final from the gold medalist will take the quota place. If the bronze medalist who lost from the gold medalist is not a European, then the bronze medalist that lost from the silver medalist will obtain the quota place. If there is no European athlete in the top 4, then no quota place shall be allocated. 4 One athlete cannot participate in more than one (1) weight category or age division or in Kyorugi AND Poomsae. Regarding Poomsae-Contests only: Contestants may compete in maximum four (4) categories (Recognized Poomsae max. 2 & Freestyle Poomsae max 2) of competition. All competitors must prove their age by presenting their passport or identification card at the official weigh-in/registration.. 8 POOMSAE-OUTLINE Participants: Belt categories: 6-8 years (born 2011, 2012, 2013): Category A 4th Kup and above Category B 5th 9th Kup 9-11 (born 2008, 2009, 2010) Category A 2nd Kup and above Category B 3rd Kup and below years (cadets) will start at the WT Presidents Cup Poomsae 2019 which will take place at the same time and venue as the European President s Cup for Children; please refer to the Outline of the WT President s Cup Poomsae Recognized Poomsae in Category A and B and in all age classes Freestyle Poomsae only in Category A, age classes 9 11 Age divisions: The age division is determined by the year of birth (NOT the date of birth). The competitor has to reach the relevant age in the year of the competition. 11 FAMILY-POOMSAE EVENT Participants: Children who start with mother, father or both. Modus: All Participants do Taeguk-Il-Jang (Taegeuk 1). Entitled to participate are: Child + Mother, Child + Father, all of them wearing Doboks! Competition Classes: Category A: Child and/or mother/father have 4 th Kup or higher. Technique will count 70 %, presentation/harmony between children and parents 30 % Category B: Child and/or mother/father have 5 th Kup or lower. Technique will count 30 %, presentation/harmony between children and parents 70 % In the Family Poomsae event the participant with the lower belt decides the Category. Four teams will start in a group, among which the first, second and the two third places will be decided. There will be several groups and several winners per category! Categories will not be divided between Boys and Girls. An experienced referee will evaluate the teams. Age categories are determined according to the age of the children: 6-8 years and younger (born 2011, 2012, 2013) 9-11 years (born 2008, 2009, 2010) years (cadets) (born 2005, 2006, 2007) Participants can choose the day on which they start (February 2 or 3). If your child also does regular poomsae or kyorugi, please choose the other day for family poomsae. The starting time will be announced at the tournament. By registering, all participants also agree that their image may be published as a photo or film footage and/or their name in reports that appear in any media during or after the tournament. The person responsible for the registration of the members of a club should seek the consent to the publication of each participant of his club or of his/her legal guardian.
