5 RULES & REGULATIONS I. ENTRY FEES : (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) A lump sum entry fees of 4,000/- is payable to the GSTTA by each participating District Association for all Team Championships event i.e. Men s, Women s, Junior Boy s, and Junior Girl s Team Championships. Entry fees for such of those players who are not participating in the Team Championships and have been recommended by the District Association for open events shall be 200/- for Juniors and 300/- for Youth and Seniors + GSTTA Registration Fees 200/-. The Entry fees for Mens Doubles and Mix Doubles shall be 600/- per pair ( Rs. 300/- each). The entries of Mens Doubles and Mix Doubles will be accepted at the venue on 25 th October Each District Association shall pay a sum of 250/- per person for Team players, Manager and Coach per day towards boarding and lodging charges for entire duration of the respective Championships from Breakfast of 25th October to Dinner of 28 th October, 2018 (Four days). Lodging and Boarding will not be provided to the participants who are not members of the participating district team i.e. Open Event Players. The entry fee is payable along with entry form and is not refundable. The entry fee along with the amount of boarding and lodging charges are to be remitted by a Demand Draft/Cheque/NEFT drawn in favour of the Gujarat State Table Tennis Association and payable at any scheduled bank in Gandhidham. II. SYSTEM OF PLAY : (a) TEAM EVENTS: The Regulations for the Men s, Women s, Junior Boys and Junior Girls Team Events will be as under: The Men s and Women s Team events will be best of 5 singles. All individual matches in the team events will be determined by the best of 5 Games. The order of play shall be: A vs X B vs Y C vs Z A vs Y B vs X The Junior Boys & Girls Team Events will be Corbillon Cup Format. The Team Events will be best of 5 matches i.e. 4 Singles and 1 Double. The order of play shall be: A vs X B vs Y Doubles A vs Y B vs X

6 1) The Team Championships shall be conducted in two stages: Stage I : All the Teams shall be drawn into Two Groups i.e. Group A and Group B and Play one another in a Round Robin League system to determine the 1 & 2 position in each Group. Stage II : In the second stage, No. 1 and No. 2 Teams of group A & B shall play Cross Semifinals knock out system i.e. No. 1 Team of Group A shall play No. 2 Team of Group B and No. 1 Team of Group B shall play No. 2 Team of Group A. The winner of cross semifinals shall play finals to determine the 1 and 2 position. 2) Individual Events : (a) (b) (c) Junior Events will be played Best of 5 Games up to Quarter Finals and from Quarter Final it will be Best of 7 Games. Youth Boys events will be played Best of 5 Games up to Pre Quarter Final stage and from Pre Quarter Final, it will be Best of 7 Games. Men s & Women s will be played Best of 5 Games upto Pre Quarter Final stage and from Pre Quarter Final, it will be Best of 7 Games. III. IV. The schedule of play is planned as below and may be altered if found necessary. (a) (b) Team Championships 25 th October Morning 09:00 am onwards to Forenoon of 26 th October, Open Championships (All Events) 26 th October Afternoon onwards to 28 th October, 2018 (All events). The following shall be subsidized Hospitality at 250/- per day per person: Men s & Women s Team (a) 5 Player s Maximum & 3 Players Minimum for Men s Team Championship. (b) 5 Player s Maximum & 3 Players Minimum for Women s Team Championship. (c) 1 Manager (d) 1 Coach Total not to exceed 12 persons. Junior Boys & Girls Team (a) 3 player s maximum and 2 players minimum for Jr. Boy s Team Championship (b) 3 player s maximum and 2 players minimum for Jr. Girl s Team Championship (c) 1 Manager (d) 1 Coach Total not to exceed 08 persons.

Hospitality will include: Accommodation at a Place provided by the Host Association and Boarding from Morning Breakfast of 25 th October, 2018 to Dinner of 28 th October, Board shall include Morning Tea & Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. All other charges will be extra and are to be borne by the participants. VI. VII. VIII. The complete Draw and Programme / Schedule for each day will be put up on the Notice Board and shall serve as the only official intimation to the competitors regarding the Programme / Schedule and time of play. All authentic information regarding the Championships can be had from the Referee of the Championships. All events will be held under Laws and appropriate Regulations of the Table Tennis Federation of India as adopted by the Gujarat State Table Tennis Association. ITTF approved 3 Star STIGA Perform balls will be used in the Championships. IX. In view of organizational difficulties the order of play will not be altered even if the Captains of the Team mutually agree, unless it has the final approval and consent of the Chief Referee. The Captains of the TEAMS scheduled to play at a particular time, shall report to the Chief Referee or his appointed Deputy at least twenty minutes before the time fixed for their matches. A team not present at the scheduled time for its match is liable to concede a walk over to its opponents. X. The closing date for receipt of entries at the GSTTA Office Gandhidham, KDTTA Indoor Stadium, Ward 5/B, Opp. Tap Hospital, B/h. Gurunanak Public School, Adipur (Gandhidham), Kachchh is 15 th October 2018 for players and at 12 noon on 17 th October, 2018 for District Associations. No entries will be accepted after the date. The entries of Team events and Open events shall be accepted in the attached entry form only. XI. XII. XIII. XIV. XV. Seeding will be announced at the tournament venue through Open Draw (for Top-16 ranked players) system. Tournament / Technical Committee reserve the right to cancel an event as also to change the draw and timing of the matches, if required. Entries for Team Championships will be accepted only through affiliated District Association of the Gujarat State Table Tennis Association. Direct entries from individual players will not be accepted. Merit Certificate will be given to all winners of the Inter District Championships Age Eligibility: (a) The Jr. Boys and Girls events shall be open only to those players, who are born on or after 1 st January, (b) The Youth Boys and Girls events shall be open only to those players, who are born on or after 1 st January, XVI. For evidence of age, players should bring Original Date of Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation/school so that it could be verified, if required to do so. XVII. The regulations for alteration to the draw will be inter-alia be according to the TTFI Regulations as adopted by GSTTA.

8 XVIII. The Championship will be played as per the latest rules and regulations framed by GSTTA. The decision of the Tournament / Technical committee will be final and binding to all players. XIX. XX. XXI. All the participating players should have registered with GSTTA for their entries to be accepted. Players should pay a registration fee of Rs. 200/- towards registration fee for the year 2018 along with the entry fees in the first tournament they play in the calendar year. The participating players should compulsorily wear shoes with Non-Marking sole in the Field Of Play/Arena during matches as the flooring of the hall is synthetic. Players are instructed to change the shoes after reaching courts. By entering into an event, players agree to abide by all rules and regulations of GSTTA and the Organizing Committee. All associations and individual players agree to be under the auspices of the GSTTA and its agents in all matters concerning television coverage, video, internet, webcasting, motion picture coverage, and photographic coverage of any kind. Participants release all rights or rights held by their agents or sponsors, in all matters relating to television and webcasting coverage, video and motion picture coverage and photographic coverage of any kind. A participant s refusal to the above listed coverage may attract suspension or dismissal from the competition XXII. Any violation of the rules / indiscipline by players, players coach, player s parents / guardian can result in immediate dismissal from the tournament XXIII.
