Discounted fees are available on the Giant Round Robin event for entries submitted before March 1, 2015 for players in the Tri-State area (VA, NC, SC) or players who provide a hotel confirmation number from the Triangle Table Tennis Tournament Host Hotel (see below). You will be informed if you are waitlisted. You will be notified if a spot becomes available. If a spot does not become available or you request to be removed from the waitlist, the registration fees for the waitlisted event will be refunded to you. ONLY pre-paid entries are placed on waitlist.
6 Refund Policy: ALL entry fees paid are NON-REFUNDABLE after 7 days prior to tournament date (except for wait list pre-payments which will be refunded following the tournament as outlined below). If an event is cancelled by Triangle Table Tennis, or the tournament director, for any reason, then entry fees will be refunded. Refunds may take up to four weeks. In the event of inclement weather in Triangle Table Tennis s vicinity, please monitor our web site to learn about cancellations. Triangle Table Tennis is not responsible for travel costs in the event of cancellations. Withdrawals & Refunds: A written withdrawal request MUST be submitted by the player to Triangle Table Tennis to consider a refund or withdrawal. Please include your name, phone number, and the events you wish to be withdrawn from. All entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after 7-days prior to tournament date. An administrative fee of $10 will be applied to all refunds. No-Show Policy: Players who are not present at match start time for any event forfeit their position and entry fee. Referee makes that final call. Dress Code: USATT Dress Code will be enforced in all cases as determined by the Tournament Referee. Event Limitations: Rating and gender restrictions apply depending upon the event. It is the player s responsibility to manage their time and to be available for their matches at their designated tables when their match is called. Players will be given an individual time schedule for all of their matches at their designated tables when their match is called. Players not present at the table for a match may be defaulted (see no-show policy). You cannot register for events that have overlapping time conflicts. Max of four events based on age and rating qualification. Triangle Table Tennis Center rules will be enforced; violators may be asked to leave. If ejected due to violation of Center rules, the player will be defaulted automatically and no fee refunds will be issued. Equipment: All USATT Regulations Apply. Only USATT/ITTF approved equipment will be used. Tables and nets will be Butterfly. Floors are all covered with Gerflor (Taraflex) flooring. Balls will be white ~40mm premium Butterfly 3-star poly balls for all events. USATT Ratings: Ratings used for USATT-rated events. 7 Required USATT Statements: 1) Events with insufficient entries may be cancelled at the discretion of Triangle Table Tennis and fees refunded. 2) If a rating event is cancelled, player will automatically be placed in the next highest rating event. 3) The current USATT rating system will be used for the purposes of conducting all draws with the possible exception of hardbat events if offered. For players that do not have a USATT rating, an estimated USATT rating will be assigned based upon a recommendation by a coach who knows the player or by visual evaluation of the player by a coach, whenever possible. Players that are unrated may enter any open event (example Open Singles, Open Doubles). Unrated Players (players without a USATT rating): Unrated players may enter any Open or Championship event for which they are otherwise eligible (such as the giant round robin, hardbat event, or sandpaper event). Unrated players may enter any rating events but at the seeding time will not be allowed to advance beyond the first round (if they win that first round group). This also applies to the Intermediate and Advanced events on Cary Cup. In that instance the second place finisher in the first round group shall advance. Unrated players at qualification time can t enter rating doubles events. The Tournament Referee will be the final authority on a player s rating status. Event Formats and Information Please Keep For your records Giant Round Robin Event on Saturday & Sunday: Played in 3 rounds with the 1 st and 2 nd round on Saturday and the 3 rd /finals round taking place on Sunday. Early bird check-in for The Giant Round Robin begins late evening, if you check-in on you do not have to check-in again Saturday morning and can go straight to your table to warm up. Venue opens at 8am for Saturday check in. At check-in players will receive their round 1 group assignment. Play begins promptly at 9am. Event formatting is described below however, TTT reserves the right to modify the format as needed. Round players snake seeded using geographical separation into 32 groups of 4. Top player in each group advances to round 2 A division. Second to round 2 B division. Third to round 2 C division and last to round 2 D division. Play begins promptly at 9am, check-in begins at 8am. Moving up due to No Show players: If a player in your round 1 group is not ready to play by start time then the tournament referee can determine they are a No Show. Once the referee determines a player as a No Show then, players may move up divisions if authorized by the tournament referee. E.g. the round 1 B player is a No Show then the player that was C may advance in to the B division if they finish 2 nd in their group. If they choose to do so, only then, the D player may choose to move up to the C division if he/she finished 3 rd. However, if a player above you does not opt to move up division due to a no show then the players below cannot move up divisions. Note: TTT reserves the right to expand (or reduce) the size of the groups based upon actual entries received. Round 2 Players advance into 4 divisions A, B, C and D. Each division is made up of 4 groups of 8 players. The players are snake seeded within the groups in their division and geographical separation maybe applied. The TOP 4 players in each division A group advance to the Round 3 A Single Elimination Finals on Sunday. The top player of each group advances to the Round Robin Finals for each of the B, C, and D division finals. Play begins promptly at 1pm. Round 3 - Late players will automatically default all matches. DO NOT BE LATE! See entry form for prizes. A Division Finals 16 players in a single elimination draw with geographical separation applied by Tournament Referee. Play begins promptly at 9:30 am. B Division Finals Four players in a round robin of 4. Play begins promptly at 9:00am. C Division Finals Four players in a round robin of 4. Play begins promptly at 8:30am. D Division Finals Four players in a round robin of 4. Play begins promptly at 8:00am. Please note that while not anticipated, actual round robin group size may be adjusted upward or downward based upon actual numbers of participants registered.
8 Doubles Event on Thursday: Round 1 Teams are snake seeded into (2) groups of 6 teams with the top 2 teams of each group advancing to a Final round robin of 4 teams. See entry form for prizes. Round robin group sizes may be changed based upon actual numbers of participants. Note: TTT reserves the right to expand (or reduce) the size of the groups based upon actual entries received. IMPORTANT: Players MUST pre-register with a partner for all doubles events. TTT will NOT arrange for a doubles or Team partner. TTT will not be responsible for the non-participation of your selected partner. It is the responsibility of the players to contact his/her partner about participating in (and paying for) the event. No refunds will be given for an event if a partner is not available. All Events Anticipated Format: Round 1 32 players are snake seeded into four groups of 8 players.
