3 17U / 18U Provincial Championships April 17-19, 2015 (Richmond Olympic Oval, Richmond) Tournament Information Venues: Courts 1-10 Richnmond Olympic Oval: 6111 River Road, Richmond BC Courts Richmond Christian Secondary (RCS) : #5 Road, Richmond, BC Format: All matches are best 2 of 3, 3rd game to 15. No cap in any game. Top 8 teams seeded in true power pools (1-4 / 5-8), balance of teams serpentined throughout the rest of the pools within their division. Rankings: As per the Volleyball BC Club Handbook & RDC recommendations. Playoffs: 17U Girls Div 1: Tier 1 = 12 teams. 17U Girls Div 2: Tier 1 = 11 teams. 18U Girls Div 1: Tier 1 = 8 teams. Tier 2 = 8 teams. 18U Girls Div 2: Tier 1 = 12 teams. 17/18U Boys Div 1: Tier 1 = 12 teams. Tier 2 = 5 teams. Warm-up: Pool Play: This includes hitting and serving. First Match of the Day - 10 Minutes (5 & 5) This includes hitting and serving. Thereafter - Minimum 6 minutes (3 & 3) or 10 minutes (5 & 5) if time allows. Playoffs: 10 minutes (5 & 5) This includes hitting and serving. Rules: Volleyball Canada rules in effect net & center line rules are in effect. Quick Sub rule in effect. 17/18U Boys, libero, 6 Limited Substitutions. 17/18U Girls, libero, 6 Limited Substitutions. Officiating: Teams must provide 1 linesperson and 1 scorer for each of their OWN games. This could be players on the bench, parents, friends, etc. Admission: Day Pass: $5. Event Pass (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $10. Parking: Event Parking located at Worksafe BC (see Volleyball BC Website for Location). Concessions: Olive U Foods has a café onsite with a variety of food options. Teams may bring in homemade food items; no other outside food is permitted. Responsibilities: Teams are responsible for cleaning up after themselves (common areas, benches, etc). Photographer: Sports Action Pictures will be on site. Merchandise: Canuck Stuff will be on site with event merchandise. Community: Please bring a donation (non perishable item) for the Food Bank to the event.
