1 = NOT IMPORTANT 5 = VERY IMPORTANT How did the committee for Hobble Creek get "selected"? Can BAPA take this back? I think you are doing a great job. I like the new social activities. As always, getting players to play at their skill level for better play for everyone is a concern. But I'm not sure how to do that, other than what is already being done. I hate the winner stays in and split method of play. I encourage the 2 in 2 out for all skill levels. It is the only way to allow equal playing time for all. Indoor Tournaments Organize Round Robin events by skill level at Homecourt. One afternoon per month per skill level. (I'll drop an to the BAPA gmail account about this...) Synchronized Pickleball? There will be free loaders who take advantage of all activities limit them to members only after all the members are paying and organizing them. This might encourage some to join. Also none of us ever have all that we want (money) but somehow we manage to provide for those things that are important to us. Dues should be raised to a min of 20$ or above for balls nets and other items. Where on this great earth can you meet so many nice people, find new friends, get exercise and feel valued as part of the human race as with our organization "BAPA" for such a small fee, you can hardly eat at MC Donalds for 20$ and all you get is fat. Social events are so great. Working/playing with brand new players to introduce and help them love the game.

I can work in play around my schedule. Ability to play with people at same skill level. Having courts designated at given levels of play versus all courts completely open Watching more skilled players play enjoying my self Prefer to play most of the time with players close to my level morning drill session not just game play Winners should leave after two games and not stay on to let more players in. Try to have some arrangement of courts by general skill level Shows who's "boss" I seldom play anymore since my 75 y/o body does not do well with the play sit play routine. If pb is ever scheduled like tennis where a group can schedule a court for 1 to 1.5 hr I will likely become very active again. I hate to see "clicks" materialize If you play with the same group of people, you learn their strengths and weaknesses. Before long, it's like listening to the same TV show over and over. I like playing with different players, both better and worse than I am. Being respectful to other players Challenging competitive games prepare one for tournament play having fun Mixing not think your much better then others. As a tennis player I'm seeing more attitude and drama on pickleball courts this last year or two. I believe in a challenge court but because we have limited courts players should only be able to stay on for 2 games. You don't get to choose your partner. We all pay the same rate so we should all be able to have access to the courts. There is always night play for those that only want to play with certain levels. HAVING A CHALLENGE WINNERS COURT TO ATTRACT THE BEST PLAYERS WHO MAY BE AVOIDING PLAYING WITH US DUE TO THE MIXING OF PLAYERS Maybe one or two courts for skills challeng Playing with a variety of others within or near my skill level.
1 = NOT INTERESTED 5 = EXTREMELY INTERESTED
1 = UNwilling 5 = Extremely Willing 1 = UNwilling 5 = Extremely Willing
1 = UNwilling 5 = Extremely Willing Need for an additional facility. Use other facilities as well (maybe different levels play at different spots) Assign courts and time of play by skill level I'm willing to try anything. You never know until you try? With Middleton having new indoor courts for inside. Maybe some would mind driving there to support them and keep participation up. Get rid of the dance class and go to eleven or twelve courts. Start rumors about "swine flu at homecourt" Rally scoring Change the format to include more or less courts for different skill levels on specified days of the week 1.assign ratings to all players 2. Assign courts for each rating 3limit the number of players of each rating.(such as six players for each court. Rally scoring and also could try 4 go on and 4 come off regardless of winners and losers skill level on certain days Have the 3.5 and above players play in a 2 hour period say 3-4 days a week. Have the beginners to 3.0 players play in a separate 2 hour time slot 3-4 days a week. More courts but I don't see this as happening. Increased hours. I think a lot of this will depend on what the City will do. We do have to share with basketball and other sports. I WOULD BE WILLING TO PLAY JUST 2 DAYS A WEEK IF I KNEW THE SKILL LEVEL WOULD BE HIGH. THE WAY TO DO THAT WITHOUT HURTING PEOPLES FEELINGS WOULD BE TO HAVE ONE SECTION A 3 COURT KING OF THE COURT, ANY LOSERS GO OFF AND WINNERS ADVANCE UP TO THE KING COURT., RTHIS KEEPS THE TURNOVER THE SAME AND THE ADVANCED PLAYERS PLAYING OTHER ADVANCED PLAYERS WITH HIGH FOCUS AND COMPETITION AGAINST THE PEOPLE WE ALL WANT TO SEE AT HOMECOURT
I think if there are more than six people waiting. The games go to 2on, 2 off. But games is only played to a7. Maintain a minimum number (4? 5?) of basketball players to one court before they can spread out to a second court. One court was rented and occupied by only one person (although a very nice person) many days! Meanwhile there were 8-12 paddles lined up at each of the skill level set of courts. Play 7am Open 12 courts make all players play one and all exit. Organized round robins by skill level for one afternoon of competitive play per month. I'll drop an to the BAPA account about this. Pursue Garden City and/or East Boise venues. Set skills by certain times

1 = NEGATIVELY 5 = POSITIVELY 1 = NEGATIVELY 5 = POSITIVELY
1 = NEGATIVELY 5 = POSITIVELY Winners stay and split Losers sit Winners split- Play at your level 90 minutes start 8am like ladder no breaks 8am sharp!! Not sure about the above plan, as I think there would be a lot of confusion I believe we are currently meeting my needs. Only thing I would change is play to 7 when crowded. Specific courts and times for different skill levels. Play 1 game to 11, losers go out, winner stay. Paddle stacking also for those that want to play together. Winners stay split two in Have only one challenge court but play 2 in and 2 out. Again, you can't choose who your partner will be so to be able to only play one game is frustrating because then you wait and you get cold so it's a never ending cycle. At least if you get to stay for at least 2 games it makes it worthwhile. If you only get to stay one game than you really can't work on anything because if you lose you have to sit out again. We have people that come to Homecourt that aren't part of our club so you really can't tell people where they can play or how they are rated. The courts are already marked for beginning, itermediate and advanced. You can post suggestions and let them figure it out on their own. We all pay to play so you really can't restrict play. For those that don't like it than they can reserve a court for themselves and us ordinary people can still play. A FEW MORNINGS A WEEK HAVE ONE SECTION A WINNERS 3-COURT SECTION WHERE WINNERS ALWAYS ADVANCE AND SPLIT AND LOSERS ALWAYS GO OFF. THE TOP COURT WOULD ALWAYS HAVE 2 TEAMS OF WINNERS, THE MIDDLE COURT WOULD HAVE THE WINNER OF THE BOTTOM PLAYING WITH 2 FROM THE PADDLE LINE AND THE BOTTOM COURT WOULD HAVE 4 FROM THE PADDLE LINE
Emphasis on "winners" and "losers" defeats the purpose of recreational play. It will affect how people choose whom to play with ADVERSELY! If this is a choice, DEDICATE ONE ROW OF COURTS to that aspect of play and give us 4 lines of courts. The "sharks" at one end, the "winner/loser" competition advantage/disadvantage in one court, "intermediates in one row of courts. Beginners and novices in one row. Also... LIMIT THE "WINNER/LOSER" play to one day a week... like "Every Monday"... or take a vote for which day, so I can stay home. More ladder play if the game gets to these levels I will go back to the gym. I play for social aspect and exercise win or lose a Game I am not interesting. Officers doing a great job (2) I have had a very good experience. Everyone has been helpful and friendly. The process of winners staying in or moving up takes to much "record keeping" for the old brains that can barely keep track of the score. You are doing a great job. Thx Thank you for attempting to develop solutions of play at HomeCourt. glad you are being proactive. don't make player/game rotations overly complicated All courts should fall under the same criteria/rules for play. It's too crowded to have exclusive courts for some advanced members with their "own" rules and who work it so they stay in with their select group. Bad sportsmanship. Many Thanks to the Officers/Others that keep BAPA Successful! Great to show up any time and be able to play Thank you for continuing to improve and asking for input! Get the dance classes Out! Too distracting all those sexy gals shaking it Have early morning ladder days a week on 5 courts start before 8am!! See comments above I know it is hard to make decisions where everyone will be satisfied, so good luck. The old days where there were 4-8 people who showed up to play on two courts are long gone. And I don't mind that. Pickleball is growing, and growth is both rewarding and frustrating. Being an officer in BAPA was once a relatively simple and easy task; it's getting harder. And I have to admire and thank the people who are wiling to do it. BAPA, thanks for trying to make the pickleball playing experience better. Love the game and the players Appreciate you tackling this problem as the game increases in popularity. Whatever is decided I will play with a smile--but my feeling is--if the rotation is complicated it won't work. Thank you!!!
This is a very good tool. Hope it helps! I currently live in Hailey, and am happy to say that my husband and I will be moving to Eagle sometime this summer and look forward to playing often. Currently I've only played a couple of times during the morning sessions, taken lessons, and participated in a few tournaments. Therefore, my answers are not particularly useful. But I compliment you for putting the survey out there, and when I finally move to your area, would be happy to help in any way I can. Thank you for all that you do. THANKS TO ALL THE BAPA LEADERSHIP AND INVOLVEMENT TO KEEP PICKLEBALL GROWING AND FUN Pickleball should just be fun and good exercise. overall things are going fairly well Just going thru growing pains we are lucky to have such a great BAPA program and facility Thank you for taking the time to administer the survey and for trying to figure out what's best for all of us pickleball junkies... :-) 'KISS' as they say in old school. THanks for your efforts.
