1 5/31/2018 Page 1 of Adopt A Court Matching Grant Application USTA Northern is pleased to offer the 2018 USTA Northern Adopt A Court Matching Grant to public tennis facilities within the section. In keeping with our commitment to provide age and ability appropriate play opportunities, organizations must incorporate 36 and 60 blended lines into the facility to be eligible. Grant Eligibility Checklist: Facility must be open to the public. Usage fees and court reservation procedures must be disclosed to USTA Northern. Owner must agree to provide ongoing maintenance to the facility and remain open to the public for a minimum of five years. Facility must meet applicable A.D.A. requirements. Applicant must be a current USTA member organization and remain current for a minimum of 3 years following the grant deadline. Community Tennis Association registration is required for applying CTA s. Facility must host community tennis programs and have youth programs registered in Net Generation. Facility must include Blended Lines for 36 and 60 courts. Facility must be tennis-specific. No lines for other sports, including Pickleball lines, are allowed. Facility must meet minimum recommended standards as published in the USTA and ASBA Tennis Court Construction and Maintenance Manual. Certification By signing this application, the applicant certifies that the information provided with this application is true and correct, and agrees to the following: The facility owner agrees, if requested, to disclose or provide information regarding all usage fees. The facility will comply with all applicable A.D.A. requirements. The owner will provide a safe, properly constructed and functional facility, adhering to all USTA technical specification requirements. The applicant agrees to develop new tennis players by providing comprehensive tennis programming, including at least 1 program registered in Net Generation. These programs must be identified in detail within the application. The applying organization will remain a USTA Organizational Member for a minimum of 3 years. The applicant will provide progress and final accountability reports that include facility photos post renovation, publicity received, new programs and players created, final costs, and lessons learned. An accountability report will be due upon completion of the project as well as on the one year anniversary of the grand opening. The facility will remain open to the public and provide ongoing programming and facility maintenance for at least five years following completion of the project. Incomplete and late applications will result in the application being returned without consideration for funding.
